Chapter 94 - (A3) Under The Mask...

Olaf and David were still fighting each other, trading blows non-stop. Olaf was trained Knight. As a member of the Seven Floral Knights, Olaf was considered one of the strongest RANKING Knights in his entire kingdom. But here he was, fighting an unarmed nobody who was still keeping his own. The thought of that made him lose his mind.

Olaf: Who the HELL are you???!!

David: Just a concerned citizen!

David had no time to fight. These random knight dudes had almost destroyed half the library. His brother was missing, fighting a damn Ameliorate with superpowers. He was concerned about his brother AND his wife who was with him. And now there was a huge man chasing the red haired friend of his brother. David had a normal life, and the day his brother returned everything changed. Granted that the "normal" life he had was being in a world almost two thousand years in the future, with God-like beings ruling over them, but it was still kinda normal.

As they continued fighting they noticed Chuck, the young boy with Max, fly away to the distance. Chuck was after Bjorn, the big man who was chasing Melissa. He was chasing her to another side of the library in a straight corridor, and Chuck followed.

Olaf: Man...I let go of the kid. Never mind, Bjorn should be able to handle it.

And Olaf turned again stopping David's fist from punching and tried mocking him, and he still searched for his blade that David had knocked away from him. And for some reason, his blade was missing.

Chuck flew as fast as he can, but he was slowly losing balance. The lights just slightly above him, lit the entire corridor. He could see the silhouette of the big man in the distance, walking menacingly, but there were a lot of people running away from him too. It was utter chaos and Chuck couldn't see Melissa. He cared about her deeply and wanted to help her in place of Max. Still he persevered, as below him people running in fear were still amazed to see a flying boy above them. And Chuck didn't know why there were tons of people in the library.

Bjorn was relentless. He didn't want to run. He was menacing enough. He carried his powerful huge axe in his right arm, as people all around him screamed and ran. They were absolutely terrified of not just his appearance but his actions as well. Bjorn had his eyesight set on the red haired girl he was chasing. Melissa was fleeing for her life, but she was slow. Occasionally Bjorn would throw his axe at her, missing her at a few inches. He could've easily killed her, but that wasn't what they ordered. They wanted her alive.

Unlike Rose, his Commander and Olaf, he didn't have any connection with the Thorne princess. Nor did he care. All he wanted was the fame and money. People in his kingdom loved him, despite his massive appearance. And he loved that. And this was the latest order from the king. And whatever the King orders must be done. And that was all Bjorn cared about.

Bjorn: It would be much better if you didn't resist, PRINCESS!! Trying to run away will just lead to more pain and suffering...!!

Melissa heard him but she wasn't stopping. She finally came to a circular room filled with books. She noticed the stairs at the other end of the room and started running towards it, but Bjorn threw the axe, knocking the shelf on her. She tried diving away from it, but it still fell on her. She had managed to slightly move away from it, but it was on her right leg. She turned to see Bnorn slowly walking towards her. She desperately tried pulling her foot away from under the rubble of books and the moment she was free, she started making a break for it.

She started running up the stairs and Bjorn sighed. He picked his axe back up as she vanished and appeared in the first floor, which was visible from below.

Bjorn: I seriously don't get why you are cornering yourself. The more you go upstairs, the more you realise that you don't have an escape point.

Melissa stopped in her tracks as she heard him say that. She then immediately looked above her to the ceiling. There was a huge metal rod attached to both end of the wall. With tears in her eyes, she stretched both her palms above her aiming at the ceiling.

Melissa: You are right.....I've git nowhere to run....but...

Bjorn noticed that something was wrong around him. Melissa's Blessing of the Strings was a known ability by the Floral Knights. They had taken precautionary measures while tracking her. Even mow when she had tried to escape using her strings, Bjorn had stopped her. But the strings were incredibly thin. You wouldn't see it with your eye. But a single string wouldn't be able to hurt anyone, and multiple strings would be visible.

As Melissa stood there with her palm faced upwards, Olaf could sense something was wrong. Around him there were strings. Lots of strings. All spread out, circling him. They were coming from above him after going above the rods.

Bjorn: What are you....?

Melissa: ....but....I can do THIS!!

Immediately Melissa tightened the circling threads into one unified rope around Bjorn's neck and she pulled on it desperately, and Bjorn was lifted from his feet as his throat was completely engulfed by her Strings. As the ropes tightened, his eyes started bulging out as he kicked the air, struggling to breathe. He was hanging midair and slowly he looked at his attacker.

Melissa looked at him finally revealing her true face. She was smiling ear to ear, tears still slowly flowing out of her deranged eyes, like a demon. The mask was gone.
