Chapter 02: [Carpet Bombing Canon]
DROP THE BOMBSHELL
*DOOM*
S.T.A.R. Labs – Los Angeles Branch
July 11, 2010
*DOOM*
Selena Gonzalez was Chief Executive Officer of Farano Enterprises, a company that once did business with Project Cadmus. The News reported her disappearance today and I know she was assassinated by the League of Shadows. I also known Superboy, Kid Flash, and Aqualad fought Spider-Man-rip-off Black Spider and Hook – an assassin with a mechanical arm - to protect her, but there was another agent.
I knew she was going to die, but I don't really care. All my responsibility will end today.
It's been a week since me and my "comrades" escaped Cadmus Beta. Cadmus Beta Facility, which I learned was under the name "Ino Innovations". Ino was a mortal queen of Boeotia, who after her death and transfiguration was worshiped as a goddess under her epithet Lefkothea, the "white goddess.". The second daughter of Cadmus and Harmonia. This version of Earth also has an interesting Wikipedia. Ino actually reminds me of a blonde ninja girl from a certain anime.
We made contact with the Justice League when we reached Los Angeles. It wasn't easy but a couple of the Wilson clone brothers managed to get a couple of Ino Innovation Trucks working, despite the surprising amount of security devices. Seriously, I can understand a car key Fob, but also fingerprint scanners!
The Justice League was quick to send one of their members, but we have been stuck at STAR Labs. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) was the one that was sent, as Batman is probably too busy with America's worst city Gotham and Superman is not handling being cloned well.
We have been getting tested since we arrived at STAR Labs to make sure we don't cause a pandemic. I have experiences with pandemics in my original world and wouldn't inflict them on the world of DC Comics. It doesn't help that one of my "parents" is a biological weapon from a race of xenophobic technological advance extraterrestrials who happen to look identical to humans. With my Luck, this probably makes the genocidal General Dru-Zod my grandfather.
The Wilson Brothers all have a clean bill of health. The only physical anomaly being all twenty-six patients are they are identical down to the genetics. If they hadn't arrived together and been seen by the scientists, the scientists would think they were being pranked – having one man submit themselves twenty-six times. Other than Adam, Banjamin, Charles, David, and Edward, there other Wilsons are Franklin, Gabriel, Hector, Isacc, Joseph, Kevin, Leo, Michael, Noah, Orion, Peter, Quitin, Robert, Samuel, Tristan, Ulysses, Victor, William, Xander, Yusuf, and Zachariah.
One of the STAR Labs scientists has a sister who is a beautician, so they have having cosmetic changes made to help differentiate each other. I pity the clone that ends up with pink hair.
The Leader of the Cadmus Beta Genomorphs Alex has used his telepathy to scan for implanted subliminal commands. We don't want to League of Shadows members to show up and knock them all unconscious with a bit of poetry and I know those commands were used on the Roy Harper clone. The scientists also do various scans to make sure there are no implanted brain chips. It was implanted chips that turned the Clone Troopers from loyal comrades of the Jedi into executioners during Order 66 in Star Wars. They also looked for any other hidden surprises.
The eight female Cadmus scientists – Doctor Carolina, Doctor Francesca, Doctor Ivy, Doctor Lily, Doctor Olive, Doctor Scarlett, Doctor Violet, and Doctor Yasmin – also have a clean bill of health. Unlike the Wilsons who were all created from legendary mercenary Slade "Deathstroke" Wilson, it's believed the Doctors are Binary Clones of notable female scientists. This was uncovered when they discovered Doctor Ivy and Doctor Lily were half-sisters and the daughters of Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley. They even look like the Gotham Botanist before she was transformed into the plant-manipulating super villainess Poison Ivy. Dr. Isley's reaction should be interesting considering she was made sterile by the transformation, which fuels her obsession with plants.
Green Lantern took particular interest in Starfire, Blackfire, and Raven. All three of them count as extraterrestrials and would be under the jurisdiction of the Green Lantern corp. The trouble is Tamaran is in the Vega System. The Guardians added a law to the Book of Oa forbidding them and their agents, the Green Lantern Corps, to enter the Vega System, after they messed up and created the notorious Psions.
They are being treated as refugees since Tamaran and Azaroth are both conquered worlds, one by the Citadel and one by unknown supernatural threat (Trigon). I can trust the Green Lantern, at least this version as he hasn't suffered the trauma that leads him becoming possessed by the Fear Entity Parallax. I don't trust his little blue masters, the Oans/Maltusians/Guardians have far too many BIG Mistakes.
I'm currently sitting in front of a (mad) scientist dressed in my new clothing. I have to thank Superman for getting me this Kryptonian nano-weave, as it's the only stuff I can wear without my bone spikes tearing it. It resembles black leather sleeveless open vest, pants and toe-less boots with holes in the knees for my knee spikes. It's also hard as aluminum and heavy as lead, but with my strength and skin it might as well be silk. I don't suffer from the elements, but I don't like being naked in front of everyone (especially since this Doomsday came with the "missile and bombs").
The outfit also comes with a Kryptonian force field belt, which looks like a simplistic Kamen Rider belt. The device that looks like it should be on the set of tokusatsu television program, creates a force field around the wearer. Normally, it protects the wearer from space debris and traps air in case the space suit is damaged. This version is modified so my more exposed spikes don't pierce my bed or chairs.
It was decided I needed it after one poor scientist got too close and lost a finger to invisible edge.
When I first arrived, they had me wear of extra-large hazmat (hazardous materials) suit with tennis balls stuck to bone spikes so they wouldn't pierce the protective materials of the suit. Everyone was in Isolation, until we could get a clean bill of health. I hated that stuffy suit and I swear when I was told I could take it off, it melted off my body. I think even the tennis balls were smoking.
I do wonder why they had so many tennis balls in a Lab that specializes in genetics.
"Astonishing"
I didn't get an easy clean bill of health, because it near impossible to get samples from me. There isn't a needle and scalpel in the building that can penetrate by gray skin and I haven't needed to use the bathroom since I woke in Cadmus. The best I can do is spit. One female scientist was willing to help me get a different sample, but a co-worker warned her she was already in trouble for that activity.
"Amazing."
The Science and Technology Advanced Research Laboratories, usually shortened to S.T.A.R. Labs, is a research organization with laboratories all over the United States. The one located in Los Angeles, California specializes in genetics and disease control. They were more than a little shock to learn about a group of clones and especially about me. The idea of an Extraterrestrial Biological Weapon of Mass Destruction both terrifies and excites them in ways only (mad) scientists can achieve.
"Innovative"
The Los Angeles Police Department also made an appearance when some people on the street with cellphones managed to catch images of our arrival at STAR Labs. At first the LAPD thought it was invasion by super villain with his army of armed soldiers and monsters. I actually walked up to them and explained that we were actually victims of mad scientists that came to STAR Labs looking for help. It also helps on the newbie cops got spooked and shot at me, doing precisely nothing. People are much more willing to listen if they know attacking will probably get them killed.
"It's fascinating." says Dr. Curtis Cuvier, one of STAR Lab's geneticists, "A Kryptonian super virus that managed to reach Earth, was combined with half-human clone of the sole surviving Kryptonian to create a super-adaptive nigh-immortal being. A being whose blood is then used to create a new type of virus that causes profound transformations in the infected."
I don't bother to correct him about Supes being the last Kryptonian as even Kal-El doesn't know the truth, yet. I'm actually worried about this scientist in front of me as he sounds a tad too excited. It also doesn't help that he looks like Dr. Curtis "Curt" Connors, the Marvel comics scientist who mutated himself into a giant lizard in an attempt to regrow his lost arm.
Cuvier is also worrying surname as Dr. Abel Cuvier is the name of a Batman Beyond villain who created the Splicing - a system of combining animal DNA with human DNA – based on the works Dr. Langstrom (The Man-Bat) and that crazy cat scientist Dr. Emile Dorian.
"Is Konami OK!?"
Konami, formerly G-Gnome Number Five Hundred Seventy-Three of Cadmus Beta, is my little companion. She is a G-Gnome that hitched a ride with me and even helped save Raven. A couple of days ago, she started to change and I became worried that she was sick.
"When you were inside the facility you fought against Infected 'G-Dwarves'. Apparently, when she bit the Infected 'G-Dwarf' tentacle to save Miss Raven, she absorbed a unique variant of the K-virus."
"A Variant?"
"The Infected G-Dwarves or Blobs as you call them reacted severely to the virus and after analyzing the sample we managed to acquire, we learned the Blobs were barely more than huge masses of undifferentiated super-cancerous cells. As the cells continued to divide and mutated into new strains at superhuman speeds, new variants of virus were also created inside those cells."
"So, what is happening to Konami!?"
"The virus variant combines the victim's genetics with similar genetics found in the environment. In Konami's case, she gained the genetics of another Genomorph possessing amphibious and regenerative abilities." says the scientist, "The virus has stabilized to contain those transgenic traits."
Project 0700. The one I was staring at before Konami pointed me to the ET Storage. Now, I really feel like someone is messing with me.
"The Axolotl"
"YES! Ambystoma mexicanum is a paedomorphic salamander related to the tiger salamander. It's the model organism for genetics and regeneration. The Genomorph must have been experiment into creating fast regenerative organisms. I wish I had the research data on that specimen as it could cause advances in genomics, bioinformatics, and somatic cell transgenesis."
I zone out for a couple minutes as Dr. Cuvier drones on and one about genetic research and applications. I consider myself to be a smart person, but I never decided to be full blown geneticist. I look at Konomi in her containment vessel and take not of her changes. She still resembles a G-Gnome, but she has changed from a pale gray to white with feminine pink markings. She also has webbing between her toes and feathery pink gills for deep aquatic environment. I also notice the extensions of flesh under her jaw (mandible horns?) has also receded, rounding her face more. She chirps and I swear she looks more emotive.
"Can I take her out of the tank?" While I don't think she can infect me as I'm the source of progenitor virus, but I would rather not have to move to Atlantis.
"Oh. Yes. The virus, at least this variant, is only commutable to other Genomorphs. Pure Genomorphs, not like the Kryptonian human hybrid that was used in your creation. That subject according to you was a hybrid with Genomorph genes used as glue." He says the "glue" part with a fair bit of disgust, like a classic painter who sees a street artist getting a couple thousand dollars for throwing paint at a canvas. He clearly has no respect for the methods of the Cadmus scientists.
"You're sticking with me, Konami."
Konami jumps back on my shoulder with a happy chirp. I would swear her voice has become more musical and feminine. She is practically purring next to me – CUTE!
Adam Wilson, S-001, walks into the lab and looks at me. His blonde hair is now white like the origin of his genetics, but cut in a very short military style. I'm guessing the color change is dye because Slade Wilson's hair didn't change color until the military put him through a super soldier project disguised as truth serum resistance experiment.
"It's time for the meeting."
"Finally."
*DOOM*
In the center of the meeting room is a circular table meant to allow scientists to discuss various topics while drinking their coffee and looking over reports. Today, STAR Labs LA has some important visitors.
The Justice League founding members - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. Other members like Zatara, Green Arrow, Hawkman, and Hawkwoman are not at the meeting, so I'm guessing they had their own problems. I know Red Tornado is babysitting the Team with Black Canary making sure there psychologically sound.
"Ash Gray. Tests have proven that you are the type of creature you claim to be. You also claim to possess otherworldly knowledge about our future." says Batman, sounding is usually moody self. Batman is the most dangerous member of the Justice League because he's a genius and knows the limits of his own madness. I may be nigh-invulnerable but I don't doubt he has plans to take me down.
"Kal-El or Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince, Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Arthur Curry or Orin, and J'onn J'onzz or John Jones." I say with a smile, enjoying the looks on their faces, "I know who you all are. So do the members of the Light, the secret society behind Cadmus. The Light members are currently - Vandal Savage, Ra's Al Ghul, Lex Luthor, The Brain, Queen Bee, Ocean Master, and Klarion the Witch Boy."
The heroes look a little stunned at my words. Maybe they are not use to someone being blunt with them. If I was still human, I would be acting like a nervous fanboy not helped by a low degree autism and stuttering occasionally when I make speeches. As Doomsday, I fear nothing with my inhuman body and I'm no longer limited by a human brain.
"The heart of everything is Vandal Savage. Thousands of years ago, he was a caveman whose greatest achievement was killing a Savage Bear that threatened him and his tribe. Then, he encountered a meteorite whose radiation awoke his metahuman ability, granting him immortality and strength. He was many things in history, but mostly he was a ruler and conqueror. In Ancient Mesopotamia, as Marduk he stopped the invasion of a race of mind-controlling alien starfish called Starro with the help of his children Ishtar and Nabu. Nabu died and became a Lord of Order, bound to the Helmet of Fate."
Wonder Woman reacts to the name of her comrade. Nabu hadn't been active since Kent Nelson was convinced by his wife to stop wearing the Helmet of Fate.
"Roughly 40,000 years after his contact with the mysterious meteorite, Savage, going then by Vandar Adg, settled a village for his powerful offspring. After the village was attacked by a Lord of Chaos, he made a deal with monster in boy form after dying hundreds of times to the cosmic being. Many years later, during Atlantis' rule by his grandson Arion, father of homo magi, he went by the name Varl'jat. He wanted his descendants to rule the oceans as well as the land and let the Lord of Chaos Klarion sink Atlantis."
Aquaman does not look good. He just got a very shocking history lesson. His people are descendants of Vandal Savage and they fulfilled his desires of ruling three-fourths of the world.
"He was also Genghis Khan, who conquered Asia with his metahuman children until he encountered the extraterrestrial warlord Darkseid. Darkseid the God of Tyranny on the Planet Apokalips formed a pact with Savage. Earth would provide metahuman soldiers to help Darkseid conquer the Galaxy. When all the worlds are there's they would fight to determine who would become the sole ruler of the Galaxy." I look directly into Batman's eyes, "In a few years, thousands of children will die due to their experiments and many others turned into brainwashed monsters sent to fight alien wars, many of them dying."
The members of the League are looking both horrified and angry.
"I'm not a hero. I'm just an average guy reborn into a monster's body, but you people are heroes. I'm giving you all the knowledge I possess so you can save lives. Lives of innocent people and lives of your fellow heroes." I say looking a Superman, "I don't know why I remember so many details, but my guess is my new brain works differently than most."
"Who dies?" asks Flash, surprising me since I didn't expect him to be the one to ask, "Who do we lose?"
"February 18, 2015 - Aquagirl - Tula sacrifices herself stopping alien weapon Tiamat in the Temple of Marduk. Unlike Vandal Savage she doesn't rise again."
Aquaman looks crushed, imagining the pain it would cause his students Garth and Kaldur.
"Jason Todd the Second Robin was beaten to death by Joker with a crowbar. I'm not sure if he's blown up as well but considering its Joker, I wouldn't be surprised. It's possible he was resurrected as a red hooded ninja using Ra's Lazarus Pit, damaging his memories, but it still doesn't change that he died."
I can hear Batman's knuckles cracking under his gloves.
"In July 2015, Ted Kord the Blue Beetle is killed when the Kord Industries' building blew up. He was fighting Sportsmaster and Deathstroke, who were sent to retrieve the Reach Scarab.'
"The Reach?" asks Green Lantern, recognizing the name.
"The Reach is the name of an insectoid species of alien conquerors and their empire. There agents are natives of worlds equipped with Scrab units, which equip them with super armor, but brainwash them so they can infiltrate hero societies. The Blue Scarab was magically disabled until it was found by Dan Garrett, who later passed it to Ted Kord. After Kord's death it was found by Jaime Reyes who managed to activate its full powers." I explain before looking at Flash, "The Light makes a temporary alliance with the Reach to develop metahuman weapons while posing as benign aliens. On June 20, 2016, Kid Flash – Wally West - dies stopping a Reach doomsday weapon."
"No" says Barry, looking crushed by the news. He looks so sad, I want to hug him, but with my spikes it would probably be a bad thing. Wally is one of the original members and his death is crippling. It doesn't help that he was the Flash I got to know in the DCAU. I'm one of the people that Wally will escape the Black Racer and emerge from the Speed Force, unfortunately Young Justice is a nerfed more realistic version of the DC Universe.
"On March 20, 2020 – Superboy – Kon-El - Connor Kent – While engaged to marry Megan, he travelled to Mars. He heroically sacrificed himself to protect the Martians from terrorist Ma'alefa'ak's gene bomb."
Superman looks shocked and crushed by guilt. He's been avoiding Superboy and now he learns his clone/ brother/son (?) dies a hero saving a world. I saw that scene as well and I wonder how the Legion of Superheroes is involved. If there is Justice then both Connor and Wally will get "comic book deaths".
"There are some deaths that while are not heroes, greatly affect you heroes.'
"Sometime before Halloween of 1997, Greta Hayes is killed by her own brother so he may have a heart of pure evil. He needs a pure heart to wield the mystical sword of Beowolf. Her ghost gets future Team members Zatanna Zatara and Artemis Crock to stop her brother Harm"
Wonder Woman is visibly disgusted at a brother murdering his little sister for power.
"On July 4, 2018, a little girl with a heart condition named Anna von Furth is transformed into one of those metahuman weapons. On July 16, 2018, she is blasted in the chest by Black Lightning with a lightning bolt, not knowing it would kill her."
I think Batman is getting angry and I'm a little scared despite being invulnerable. Batman's whole existence is based around protecting innocent people, preventing children from losing their parents to crime like he lost his. The idea of villains tricking heroes into killing children must make his blood boil.
"Manhunter's Nephew M'Comm becomes a murderous white-rights terrorist named Ma'alefa'ak. He kills two of those metahuman weapons when they fail during a mission and is behind the gene-bomb that Superboy dies stopping. A bomb that would kill all green and red Martians."
Martian Manhunter's form wavers as if too shocked to keep his false form. In order to keep people from freaking out, he often appears a green-skinned bald human with thick brows and red eyes. The True Martian form would terrify people with his thick reptilian body, red-on-black eyes, sharp exposed teeth and sharp claws. I don't know why there is racism towards white Martians because other than being bone white and thinner they are just as creepy.
Not that I'm one to talk. I'm over seven feet of almost pure bone and muscle with red eyes, gray skin and many bone spikes. My mouth is also something only a shark would love.
'July 29, 2018 - The King and Queen of Markovia Victor and Illona Markov are stabbed to death by metahuman assassin Jaculi on DeLamb's orders. DeLamb or Baron Bedlam was behind a metahuman trafficking ring, even converting his own Neice and Nephew, Tara and Biron into metahuman slaves until they were rescued by the Team. While under the influence of a Light psychic, Biron killed Baron Bedlam on February 16, 2019 and takes the throne for himself"
I can imagine the League are getting more and more worried about mind control. Good. A lot of their problems could have been stopped, if they had protections against Masters.
The classification of Master comes from Wildbow's Worm, a place I'm glad I didn't end up in. Many unfortunate characters have been ended up in that crapsack world. A world of sadistic villains, wandering murder hobos, country destroying kaiju, and an alien god on the verge of wiping out a Sextillion Earths.
"Late March of 2020, King S'turnn J'axx was accidentally impaled through the chest by S'yrra with a lightning blast. She was upset he wouldn't allow her to marry her lover, his son."
Martian Manhunter winces imagining the loss of the Pro-White King of Mars. With the King's death, the White Martian rights movements will regress, making things harder for his interracial family. He only hopes they can avoid all these deaths.
"Ash Grey, explain the source of your otherworldly knowledge." asks (commands) Batman. Batman probably already knows the source because he's "God Damn Batman" and he just wants me to inform the rest of the League. I don't like being Bossed around, but Batman is Batman.
"In my home universe, the universe my soul belongs to, there is a company called DC Comics. DC Comics, Inc. is an American comic book publisher and the flagship unit of DC Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Warner Bros. Since 1937 they have been making comics and created culturally iconic heroic characters, such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Over the years there have been many films and tv series, both live and animated. One animated series was Young Justice featuring the sidekicks of the Justice League as a suppose black ops team. A series that gets progressively darker when they changed from Cartoon Network to Netflix."
The Heroes are torn between believing and not believing, the idea that in another world they are fictional characters is disturbing. All the pain and suffering, all the adventures and triumphs, all recorded and show to people they will never know. Wonder Woman looks the most accepting and I guess it's like Percy Jackson, demigods live for their stories to be recorded in history and myth. It's just strange her legends are being told while she is still very much alive.
"Do you have the plot summaries?"
"Yes." I say after a minute. I marvel at my Doomsday body brain. I only looked at the Wikipedia and the Young Justice site a couple times, yet I'm remember everything to the last detail. I've done a little research for my friend New Mystery's own fan fiction, but this collection of dense alien neurons is working far better than my human brain ever did.
I'm upset that I'll never get to finish "The Hunter", the crossover New Mystery was writing with my help.
"Tell us."
"Could I get some Milk first. This is going to be a long and I don't like coffee."
Since I actually don't need to consume nutrients, I suspect this Milk is going to straight to my bone spikes. Considering how much I drank in my past life; I hope I don't end up like poisonous biped porcupine.
*DOOM*
So, the summaries began. I was quick to mention there was a comic series and video game that filled in spaces left by the tv series. I skipped what had already happened.
"Season 1 episode 3 – This mostly occurs on July 18, 2010 - Under the false belief that Red Tornado is testing them, the group faces off against Mister Twister who is attacking Happy Harbor. It turns out that the robot piloting the Mister Twister armor was controlled by Bromwell Stikk from an undisclosed location to test it out for T. O. Morrow who commented to Bromwell that he was lucky it wasn't him testing the armor."
It's very easy to get bored as Wikipedia summaries, as they are written to be informative not entertaining. The reactions of from League are interesting on occasion. I use to love watching reaction videos on the Tube, be shouts of joy at Joffrey Baratheon's death, the amazement at anime fights, or sheer sadness at Mitty's Death in Made in Abyss.
That breathe attack I did back in Cadmus Beta reminded me of Reg's Incinerator from Made in Abyss. Abyss Roar, that's what I'll call my attack. Tho I won't tell anyone because calling out your attack is such as anime thing to do.
"It's a combination of extraterrestrial, nanotech, and magic. Red Arrow uses it to brainwash the League."
"What!?"
"He's a Cadmus clone with subliminal commands. The real Roy Harper was captured years ago, maimed, and locked in cryogenic tube. He – Red Arrow - doesn't find out until December 31, 2010 after in a trance he implants the League with the Starro-tech."
No matter how many surprises or horrific events, they still react. You would think they would go numb from all the pain, but I guess Heroes are filled with empathy and strength. It's what makes them Heroes.
"Four of the super-powered former Reach abductees (consisting of Virgil Hawkins, Tye Longshadow, Asami "Sam" Koizumi, and Eduardo "Ed" Dorado Jr.) escape from the League's Taos base after being put through endless metagene training exercises. Nightwing sends Blue Beetle to track them down, and Jaime reveals his secret identity to them in order to get them on his side." I pause at season 2 episode 14 to enjoy some milk.
It must look funny for Doomsday to drink Milk from large container. Instead of "Milk it does a body good", it's more like MAD Magazine's "Milk it does a body Weird."
"The Runaways are Heroes in other universes. Longshadow, Sam, and Ed are Apache Chef, a gender bent Samurai, and El Dorado from Hanna-Barbera's Super Friends. Yes, it's a racially insensitive as it sounds. Longshadow later appeared as a Cadmus clone in DCAU.'
'Virgil is a famous Hero named Static, even had his own awesome series in the DCAU."
"Pause. What's the DCAU?" asks Flash, who is drinking Coffee. Even with my enhanced memory I can't guess which cup he's on.
"DC Animated Universe. 1992-2006. Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited. In Static Shock, Virgil, a bunch of gang members, and a few innocent people got powers when a chemical gas was released in what's called the Big Bang. Static protected Dakota City from the Bang Babies."
"He sounds like a great hero." comments Wonder Woman.
"He's one of the world's greatest heroes in Batman Beyond."
"Batman Beyond?" inquires Flash the coffee spokesman.
"Batman's replacement years after Batman retired. He had to retire because during a fight to rescue a friend's daughter, he had a heart attack and was forced to use to use a gun to stop the kidnapper. Terry McGinnis went to Wayne because the Powers – the man who took over Wayne Industries - was involved in his parent's murder. He ended up finding the Bat Cave. It was later revealed he was Batman's son via Cadmus!"
The League has the "What the Fuck" look on their faces, except for Batman who just looks wide eyed. Batman can plan for everything, but can he plan for random children showing up. He plays the part of the playboy, but how careful is he?
"Oh yeah. Government agent Amanda Waller believed the future would need a Batman so she found a couple with similar personality profiles to the Waynes and injected the father with nanomachines to rewrite his reproductive material to match Bruce Wayne's seed." I can see skin of Batman's lower face paling, "She even planned to kill the parents in a similar manner, but the assassin – a former lover of Bruce Wayne – decided against it. Ironic, it still happened – to the father – years later."
"Can we continue with the summaries?" asks Batman. He doesn't want to think about the government killing a child's parents just to create another Batman. He's going more moody than usual when he gets back to Gotham. I pity poor Alfred. The Butler Man needs a Vacation.
I continue to drop my bombshells and I can almost hear Powerman 5000 playing. The bombs are dropping and canon is my doomed target, leave nothing but craters!
"Meanwhile, in Central City, Iris West hosts a play date for all the children of all the heroes who have families, accompanied by their parents. Unbeknownst to her, Ocean Master has leased the house across the street to observe them, with a plan of eliminating the next generation of heroes out of revenge, but..."
"WHAT!?" yells Flash, "He was going to kill Iris!? He was going to slaughter kids!? I'll grind him to fucking mincemeat!"
Wow. That's more an Eobard Thawne method, than a Barry Allen method. I loved the Screwattack Death Battle between Reverse Flash and Goku Black. I can imagine Barry grinding the wannabee ruler of oceans into ground meat.
Aquaman looks ready to pop a blood vessel. His hatred for Ocean Master is palatable. When he finds out who is under the mask, I hope he doesn't get an aneurism.
"He is stopped and killed by Lady Shiva:"
"Why?" asks Green Lantern
"MAD of the Nuclear Option. Killing your children would be the worst pain they could inflict. Some of you would give up being heroes, some of you would continue, but some of you would go on murderous rampage. The Light knows this which is why the Nuke is kept off the table. Ocean Master was about to kill them and he would try again if simply disabled, so Shiva eliminates him by decapitation."
I look at Aquaman in the eyes and he knows I'm about to deliver another devastating blow.
"Ocean Master's identity was revealed sometime between 2012-2018, when he was revealed to be the leader of Purists and imprisoned in Atlantis. Black Manta took his place on the Light council. If you're wondering who Ocean Master is, he's your younger brother Orm."
Aquaman is furious, to the point a glass of water in the room cracks. He looks ready to go home to Atlantis and drive his Golden Trident down Orm's throat. If his wife Mera was in this room, she would probably be ready to vomit blood like her Red Lantern counterpart. Batman and Wonder Woman calm the monarch with words I don't listen to. I can feel the Bat-Glare, he knows I love drop the Emotional Bombs.
I smile then. Something inside me delights at the chaos I'm causing with my words. The bombs are armed and ready to drop.
"If you're wondering whose Kids were at the playdate. The Tornado Twins – Dawn and Don Allen, Black Lightning's kids Anissa and Jennifer Pierce, Rocket's son Amistad Ervin, Prince Artur the son of Orin and Mera, Speedy and Cheshire's daughter Lian Nguyen-Harper, Red Tornado's daughter Traya, and Jonathan "Jonny" Kent! The son of Clark and Lois Kent."
Superman is wide eyed at that bombshell. He looks like Lex beat him over the head with a Kryptonite laced baseball bat. He had a child with Lois and that same child and Lois were almost murdered by Ocean Master. I'm suddenly worried, as I'm reminded of Injustice. Superman became a paranoid tyrant when his wife and child were killed in Injustice and in another else world. That worry is countered by something deep within me, something delighting about the chaos.
Flash and Aquaman are delighted at the news of children, but also horrified at how close Ocean Master got. The emotional roller-coaster isn't over and they are regretting showing up for this meeting. My inner sadist is laughing and I'm worried that it's more than my imagination.
"I guess I should mention that Bruce also has a son Damian born a year after Jonny in 2018. He is being raised by his mother Talia." I comment, smirking at Batman as if to say "You are as fragile as the rest", "You thought you could say no to daughter of the Demon's Head? You either get seduced, get drugged, or have your DNA stolen, either way you end up a biological father."
The League needs a long break to digest the knowledge I gave them.
Finally, after hours of talking, I finally reach the last summary. The last episode I can remember is Season 4 episode 10, "Nomed Esir!" - Vandal and his grandson Arion rebuild Atlantis. Arion becomes an agent for the Lords of Order through his magical crown, creating humans with magic, Homo Magi.
The Final Bomb drops as they realize Vandal Savage is linked to EVERYTHING. He is even the Ancestor of Aquaman and Zatara through Arion. All Homo Magi and Homo Mermanus are linked to Vandal Savage! I also Bomb Myself considering I didn't remember this until just before the meeting.
"That complete the summaries." I say looking at my empty drink container, "All the other information about Young Justice comes from fan fanfiction or theories."
"You read a lot of fan fiction?" asks Flash, not accusing just curious.
"I do research for my friend New Mystery. We liked to do crossovers adding things from anime, video games, and the like. Most of the Young Justice Stuff I read are on forums, mostly self inserts with some body from my world landed in yours with powers."
I don't say that I'm worried that I'm in a Self-Insert. Worried because I don't have faith in my own writing and I can be real sadist with my characters.
"Every color of the rainbow for Lanterns, Pokémon trainers, The Gamer, and powers from web series Worm."
"Every color?" asks Green Lantern. He doesn't seem to be aware of the other Lantern corps.
"The White Light of Creation was split into Emotional Spectrum. Red for Rage, Orange for Avarice, Yellow for Fear, Green for Willpower, Blue for Hope, Indigo of Compassion, and Violet of Love. The original life entity broken in seven entities one for each group. There are Lanterns for every color. Red Lanterns are berserkers that want revenge and are led by Atrocitus, who blames the Oans for destruction of Sector 666. Orange Lantern is the greediest being in the universe Larfleeze who's willing to kill anyone for nearly anything. Yellow Lanterns believe in order in forced by fear lead by former Green Lantern Sinestro."
"What! Sinestro was my teacher." protests Hal
"He also rules his planet as a tyrant and after leaving the Corp in disgrace, he becomes the Yellow Lantern founder." I finish before continuing my speech. "Blue Lanterns are the healers. Indigo Tribe teach compassion to criminals, even if they have to do it forcibly. Violet Lanterns are mostly female Lanterns created by alien amazons."
"Alien amazons? Seriously, alien amazon women like out of some sort B movie?" asks Flash, while Wonder Woman raises her eyebrow.
"Zamazons are actually the female counterparts to the Oans. They were originally a single race the Maltusians when they achieved immortality, but while men focused solely on mental refinement, the women also did body refinement and didn't become little blue dwarves or Leprechauns"
Hal Jordan looks pole axed.
"Also, Carol Ferris eventually becomes Star Sapphire due to an incomplete Violet. I would suggest tantric sex and a lot of it."
"Wha?"
"Rejecting a Lantern of Love is dangerous. They are as the Japanese say – Yandere. Ask Wonder Woman why Eros and Aphrodite were feared by many in Greek mythology." I reply with my monster smile, "Tantric combines Will and Love. Maybe it will stabilize her?"
"I'm scared to ask, but Pokémon, The Gamer, and Worm?" asks Superman as Green Lantern turn interesting shades of red. My inner troll is roaring in laughter.
"Pokémon is based on game series. A world of mysterious intelligent animals with elemental supernatural abilities. They grow and metamorphose through combat experience. The main purpose of humans in that world is to train Pokémon to get stronger, completing in sports tournaments.'
'The Gamer is a Korean webtoon in which a man named Han Jihan gains the power to live life like a video game character, becoming powerful in a world of magic and supernatural. He basically has all the abilities of RPG game character granted by Gaea.'
'Worm is web serial by Wildbow about the worst superhero world imaginable. People gain superpowers through traumatic events which often make their problems worse, most Capes are villains, kaiju are destroying cities and lives across the world, and hope is a dream. The guy who wrote it said he was rolling dice to determine who would die in major fights. The final enemy is cosmic god that wanted to destroy 10 to the 20 power Earths."
I pause.
"I could have ended up in far worse worlds."
*DOOM*
"I have a question now. How can we have a meeting that lasts hours, don't you all have hero stuff you should be doing?"
"Zatara cast a spell on the room. Not only does it block sound and surveillance, but it also alters the flow of time. Every minute passing in this room, only a second passes in outside world. The spell will only last an hour, but we can spend up to sixty hours or 2.5 days inside this place." explains Martian Manhunter, "The spell can't be cast again for sixty times the amount of time that passed inside or 150 days."
"Wow. I didn't know about that spell." I reply, leaning back in my chair. I could easily spend 2.5 days talking to the League as my body is self-sufficient, not needing to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe, I don't think there is enough in this room for the League Tho.
"Thankfully, we can signal Zatara to break the spell early." adds Manhunter.
There is a turquoise glow as magical symbols appear on the walls. They forming spinning magical circles that look vaguely like clocks with the numbers replaced by eldritch symbols. It's like I'm inside the inner workings of Cthulhu's alarm clock. The circles all suddenly stop, turn purplish-white, then shatter like glass. The tiny fragments dissolving into vanishing particles of light.
"Nice light show."
I then look at Batman
"So, where am I going to staying and don't say Happy Harbor."
"You are extremely dangerous and a possible threat with your knowledge, Ash."
"All I need is a bed, a fridge, a bath, and some entertainment." I say with a smirk, which is surprisingly easy despite my shark teeth, "I wasn't the most social person to begin with. My social interactions were limited to an online friend and comments on the Tube."
"I believe I have something that will fit you"

The Bat-Up Cave
August 11, 2010
*DOOM*
I'm finally settled into the Bat-Up Cave, the humorous title for the Backup Batcaves. What most people don't known, at least those not hardcore Bat fans, is there are more than one Batcave.
The Batcave serves as Batman's command center, where he monitors all crisis in Gotham City and the world. It is often located underneath Wayne Manor and is part of a large subterranean group of caverns, but this is only the main one. This is the one that includes the Giant Penny, Batman's T-Rex, and Giant Joker Card.
The one I'm currently inside is incomplete one built on the opposite side of Gotham to Wayne manor, under an unremarkable Wayne Self-Storage Facility. It's a simply set of buildings with storage lockers, parking, and a barb-wire fence. The only thing special about the place is it being owned by Wayne Enterprises and employees of Wayne branches get 20% off storage fees.
In construction the base of the facility is one meter of reinforced concrete and steel, making slightly thicker than a nuclear bunker. Underneath that in a reinforced cavern is chamber with 20 cm steel alloy walls bonded to sound-absorbing polymer panels.
Inside, is a huge impressive computer connected to the internet through one of Batman's own VPN (virtual private network) service. It's not Batcave supercomputer, but it's the kind of machine that would make any video game lover moan with joy. It's even set up to run consoles integrated into the main computer and cable internet.
Other the computer which is always the centerpiece of any Batcave, I have small kitchen with microwave, fridges, and automatic dishwasher (the last I never had before). I have a bathroom with ultra-modern hardware. The Toilet is next to useless since I haven't had to use the toilet since I woke in Cadmus Beta and I don't think I ever will be considering I don't physically need to eat. The huge bed bedroom and extra-large computer chair are actually made using Kryptonian tech, since normal steel and plastic might as well be soft clay to me.
Batman is going to be so disappointed when he looks at my search history. I loaded my shiny computer with fanfiction, movies, and internet porn. It was interesting to find out there are lookalikes of super villainesses that do porn, at least I think they are lookalikes or Gotham girls are way kinkier and/or more desperate for funds than I thought.
"Incoming Call – B01- Robin"
Robin is calling? The Team must have found out about me and Cadmus Beta.
On the screen, a small picture of Richard "Dick" Grayson appears dressed in his Robin costume. Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Superboy, and Artemis are in the background also in costume.
"Hello Robin. This is Ash Grey."
"Are you another clone!?" blurts out Kid Flash.
"Yes, ~Wally~. To be more specific I'm the result of Kryptonian bio-weapon merging with a sample from Connor. Hence why I'm bigger and gray. So yes Superboy, you now know what Supes feels like."
Superboy looks a little confused and a little angry. He still has issues, even Tho my words to Superman got the Man of Steel off his ass and start building bridges.
"So, there are two Superboys?" asks Kid Flash, "I mean two Project Kr as there is only one Superboy."
"Actually, there are three Kryptonian-based genomorphs. There is a failed prototype Superman clone born in 2009 called Match and currently still in Cadmus Alpha. There is Superboy, who's a binary clone of Superman and Lex Luthor. Finally, there is me, a clone of Superboy combined with an alien Doomsday weapon recovered from a Kryptonite meteorite in China."
"What do you mean failed prototype?" demands Connor, "I'm half Lex Luthor?"
"Kryptonian DNA proved too difficult to replicate, and the imperfect sequence made Match uncontrollable. He will eventually develop physical deformities in additional to his mental degeneration. This is the reason human DNA was added." I explain, remembering what was written, "Lex Luthor was the one who wanted Superman to meet his Match, so L-3 of the Light offered his own DNA. Lex is obsessed with taking out Superman ever since he took the spot light from Lex."
Connor looks deep in thought. If I remember correctly during a camping trip, he revealed that he always thinks about "destroying Superman". Then the others talk about their origins.
"Of the Three of Us, I'm probably the most dangerous." I say catching their attention, "I possess adaptive regeneration meaning if anything hurts me, I get stronger and more resistant. I'm even immune to Kryptonite." I lean in "I also possess otherworldly knowledge which is why the League is so shook up."
"What do you mean by otherworldly knowledge? Like alien knowledge?" asks Kid Flash.
"There are many worlds, many alternate Earths where history turned out different. My soul or whatever you call it came from an alternate Earth, one without known superpowers or extraterrestrials or mad scientists or magic or super science"
"So, what makes your otherworldly knowledge so important if it's from a normal boring world?"
"In one world, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle writes stories about a detective with great deductive abilities. In another world, Sherlock Holmes was the great detective of Victorian England." I reply with smirk, as Robin's eyes widen figuring it out first, "In my world, DC Comics makes comic books about Superman and Batman. There are novels, there are games, there are films and tv shows, both live and animated. One animated show is Young Justice, with the first episode featuring a bunch of ~Sidekicks~ sneaking into Cadmus."
"We are a Television series!?" yells the majority of the Team. Robin looks worried and I can guess why.
"I gave the plot summaries of the show to the League. All Ten Years' Worth." I say and at those words, Robin seems to collapse in his chair, "All your wins and failures, all lives saved and all lives lost."
I look at Superboy, who begins to wonder if Superman's sudden change of heart was due to my words. Artemis also realizes why she was recruited by Green Arrow shortly after her mother's release from prison. She guesses she had more time to fly solo in the other timeline. Critical information changed the course of missions.
"It's kind of ironic that I was made out of you Connor. In most universes, Superboy is born after Superman is killed to be his replacement. The monster that kills Superman is my counterpart – Doomsday." I chuckle as the team back off in shock at me proclamation.
[Link Terminated – 02 Authorization]
"Incoming Call – 02 – Batman"
"Hello, Batman"
"Gray, why were you in contact with the Team?"
"Robin contacted me first? He's a Detective just like his Adopted Father."
"Why did you reveal so much information?"
"Knowledge is Power. Power is a great responsibility. I Free myself by Giving Knowledge to Others."
"..."
"Even with the added bone and muscle mass, It's obvious I'm Connor's clone. To be kept a secret, I must have far greater value than merely being another clone. Your boy would have figured it out."
"I'll be monitoring any future calls between you and the team."
"I would be surprised if you didn't." Paranoid Bat.

I quickly load up my game.
Prototype (stylized as [PROTOTYPE]) is an open-world action-adventure video game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Activision. I was surprised I was able to get a 2009 game in the DC Universe made by a "real" company instead of some expy. They made Marvel games.
The plot is about a man named Alex Mercer waking up in morgue to find he's gain bizarre shapeshifting superpowers. He fights to regain his memories and protect his sister Dana. His enemies as the amoral scientists of Gentek, the Nazi-like soldiers of Blackwatch, and mutated monsters created by Elizabeth Greene – a test subjected turned mother of monsters and accidently released by Alex. In the end, it's revealed real Dr. Alex Mercer was a psychotic mad scientist who was willing to let everyone die with him. My character is actually the virus that consumed Alex and possesses his memories.
"Am I a Real Person or a Monster with Fake Memories" I ask to myself, "Breakdown and Absorb It. I don't care. I can't go back to a normal life, so all I can do is move forward. Might as well enjoy myself."
I don't pay attention to the red glow in my eye.

Point of View Change
The Light
Virtual Conference.
*DOOM*
"Turn off the light effect, we only do that to impress the lower levels."
The bright blow effects that obscure the faces of The Light fade from there video screens.
L-1 – Vandal Savage – Once a leader of cavemen, his immortal meta-ability was awoken by a meteorite's radiation. Since then, he has been many people - Vandar Adg, Varl'jat, Marduk, Sun Tzu, Atilla the Hun, Genghis Khan, and Blackbeard the Pirate. His influence in the world is everywhere as he is the ancestor of homo magi, homo mermanus, and over 16 million Chinese.
L-2 – Ra's al Ghul – The nigh immortal leader of League of Shadows. He was once a kind doctor until he healed a mad prince that took the life of his beloved wife. He was saved from death by the Lazarus Pit and took his revenge. He now leads the greatest assassination organization in the world.
L-3 – Lex Luthor – The CEO of Lexcorp, a genius with a conniving and Machiavellian personality. He practically owns the City of Metropolis, with connections to all businesses, both legal and illegal. He wasn't happy when Superman arrived and disrupted his plans and became Metropolis' new icon.
L-4 – Queen Bee - Bialya is said to be a constitutional monarchy, ruled by Queen Bee. In reality, it's a militaristic dictatorship ruled with an iron fist. She also has a pheromone power that enables her to enslave people based on their attraction to women.
L-5 – Ocean-Master – is not present. King Orin had Prince Orm arrested for treason, revealing Orm was the leader of the Purists and the infamous super villain. Instead of imprisonment, he's expected to be executed and The Light is considering assassinating him to prevent further information leaks.
L-6 – The Brain - A medical and scientific evil genius. The Brain gets his name from being essentially a disembodied brain kept alive in a mechanical dome. He's the one the conducts the (mad) scientific experiments with the help of Gorilla companion.
L-7 – Klarion the Witch Boy - Klarion is an ageless Lord of Chaos who seeks means to strengthen his powers. He looks and acts like a sadistic spoiled brat, but he is insanely powerful when it comes to magical forces. One of the most terrifying examples is the sinking of Atlantis
"L-6, Report." commands Vandal Savage.
"Cadmus Beta Scientist Number 2 - Dr. Bertron – conducted an unauthorized experiment combining a sample of Project Kr with Kryptonian biological agent. It resulted in a metahuman weapon not only possessing the abilities of Project Kr, but adaptive regenerative abilities that have made him immune to conventional weapons and forms of control. The subject – dubbing itself Ash Grey – proceeded to demonstrate Dr. Bertron's lack of control and lead an escape from the facility accompanied by the Wilson-series clone soldiers, the female CB Scientists, a group of Genomorphs, and three extraterrestrial subjects that were in storage."
"That sums up how big a mess we are in" quips Queen, "Why did It take us a Month to get this information?"
She doesn't get an answer. The League has been heavy on security for the past month and none of their contacts and spies (knowing and unknowing) have managed to crack the shell.
"Why did Dr. Alexander release Genomorphs infected with the K-Virus?" asks Luthor, "I can understand he was attempting to distract the group, but releasing those mutations was a huge risk. If the mutations had escaped containment, we could have ended up in a zombie survivor game."
"We believe there was a flaw in last cloning of Doctor Alexander causing him to degenerate faster than normal. Logs indicate he was already suffering from bouts of paranoia and we had scheduled him to be eliminated and replaced with a modified unit."
"Did we get anything useful from Cadmus Beta?" asks Luthor
"When lockdown was initiated, all data in the main computer was transmitted to another site. All the research data including compressed genetic files of all the subjects including the extraterrestrial subjects in storage were saved. The loss of physical site is only a minor incontinence." explains Brain, sounding smug despite the machine voice, "The only thing we couldn't replicate is the Kryptonian biological agent as it shares similar problems to cloning the original Kryptonian. I have agents alerted. They will inform us if a chance to acquire further samples opens up."
A video opens up to reveal Ash Grey with a fiery glow facing the horde of infected Genomorphs. Ash Grey roars and all of the infected creatures are disintegrated by a white light. The wave motion beam even destroys the hidden camera despite its impressive durability.
"This Ash Grey could be our most powerful weapon – The Ultimate One - if we can find a way to control him. ", says Savage. The ancient immortal has seen many powerful beings mostly his own awakened children and descendants, but this monster's ability to grow stronger from every attack and unleash such destructive force is impressive. He then notices something disturbing.
"Klarion, what has you so fascinated?"
"What do you mean?"
"We have known each other for 40,000 years and I know when something catches your interest. That's usually not a good thing for mortals."
"This Ash Grey is a source of chaos! A person who very existence sends out ripples, distorting fate and destiny. They are so Ultra Rare, normally people like them die to the chaos that surrounds them. Their souls don't belong to this universe and they change the world even by existing."
"Is he responsible for Ocean Master? The League had a meeting with Ash Grey at STAR Labs, then less than a month later Prince Orm is beaten bloody and under arrest for treason." asks The Brain
Bloody is underestimate as Prince Orm no longer has teeth or the ability to hear in one ear.
"Possible. Some souls retain memories of their past, be it conscious or unconscious. "Explains Klarion, "There was a master swordsmith and soothsayer in the Sengoku Period of Japan who believed he could see the future. He was able to craft things that were super advance. I think one of creations is on display in a museum as a doll, the owners not knowing it's a combat robot."
"So, all of our plans could be in question."

Hub City, Illinois
*DOOM*
Hub City holds the dubious distinction of being one of the most dismal American cities rife with crime and corruption, which even outranked Gotham City. Hub, Gotham, and Bludhaven form the Dark Triangle – the worst cities in America.
In recent years, Hub City was under the thrall of organized crime and corrupt officials until a hero known as the Question made his debut in battling the criminals and the city's very systematic corruption at its highest levels.
Recently, things have gotten darker in Hub City as criminals are not being merely captured for the less corrupt and honest police, they are being systematically killed. The deaths range from serial killers to gang members to upper tier of the crime families and their corrupt business associates. Rumor is these killings are being done by a faceless vigilante and citizens are wondering if Hub's hero The Question had finally snapped and begun killing.
Others believe there is a new gang carving their own territory into Hub City. The evidence being symmetrical black-and-white markings left behind, resembling the tags of gangs only in monochrome. Money and items were stolen from the criminals and corrupt, advance weapons that require funding, but there is no evidence of other people and the same trench coat-clad man is mentioned in the few witnesses (random homeless people, rescued victims, and pedestrians as there are no surviving criminals).
The Citizens have mix feelings on the blood-soaked unknown vigilante. They have suffered so much, that citizens celebrate the final solution to Hub's crime. Politicians and captains of industry protest the loudest, but they are ones in the pocket of criminals and fear their own crimes brought to light.
In one warehouse of Hub City, the blood of criminals stains the ground.
Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labor, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others. The human traffickers of this group were kidnapping and selling children to pedophiles in other countries. They were considered scum even by worst scum of Hub, as harming children often gets you killed in and out of prison. They believed they were immune from harm because they had advance weapons and their leader is an invulnerable super-strong metahuman. They were wrong.
Small children clad in very little watch from there cage as the men who stole them from their families and homes fall to never rise again. The cage has thick bars and the lock lacks a keyhole, but they know their freedom is close. For the first time in days, there is hope in their eyes.
The Leader of the Human Traffickers is a tall, muscular man of Eastern European descent with gold eyes, black hair reaching his shoulders, and a thick mustache. This is a man who invulnerable skin has stopped the bullets of police officers, hardened soldiers, mafia hitmen, and even costumed vigilantes. This is a man whose immense strength has allowed him to shatter bone and tear flesh like wet tissue paper. It also allowed him to carry massive weapons to eliminate those who strikes at a distance. This is a man who has pillaged, raped, and murdered across Europe and Asia because nobody could stop him.
This is a man who is now on his knees desperate to breathe.
His face, slowing turning blue, is partially covered by a viscous black fluid, a weapon he was not expecting. A sticky liquid that now blocks his air ways, preventing him from getting any oxygen. Despite his strength and invulnerability, he still needs to breathe. He desperately tries to get the liquid off, but it's already in his lungs. The last thing he sees before he blacks out forever is his killer's lack of a face.
The vigilante resembles the Question, but there are clear differences. While they both dress like a Noir Detectives in trench coats, gloves, and hat, this man wears beige more utilitarian outfit. The Question's lack of a face due to special skin-color mask, but this vigilante's mask is pure white with every changing symmetrical pure black patterns.
The vigilante reaches down and pulls a remote from the dead leader's pants. He clicks it and the remote-controlled lock of the cage clicks and opens.
"I've sent a message to the authorities. They will come to return you to your parents." he says, his voice altered by collar hidden in his scarf.
There is a beep and a black screen appears above the man's hand and there is message in green letters.
