Chapter 58 - Stirrings Of The Earth Element

The roar of the warrior went on for a long ten seconds before they grew silent again. The air was still heavy, with tension that vibrated between our ranks and the Bishar's.

"There are at least three thousand on their side," I said to Tua Tahir who was close beside me.

"Hmm", he grunted in response. Looking at our measly one thousand.

The suns were merciless as usual and now reflected with brilliance off of polished blades.

Snapping sounds of the wind whipping the banners were the only noise before the charge.

I gripped the hilt of my sword so tightly my knuckles creaked. My throat was dry. This was different than killing beasts or monsters, this was war!

Men stood across from us, I couldn't spot even a single female. I looked at each one of the warriors at the front, these men also had their own lives, families, and fears.

"Stay in your formations!" Tua Tahir's voice thundered across our ranks. His presence anchored us like a cornerstone.
