Where do I even begin? I think first, let's start with the announcements.
Fluffy Shadow is NOT abandoned. It's true that it suffered from parental neglect on my part, but it's still my firstborn. I had and still have major structural problems with the story, it being my first fanfic and written work in general. So I postponed fixing it until now. Therefore:
· There will be a rewrite. I want to make adjustments to the story and narrative since it was quite basic and clumsy compared to what I can do now (it's still basic and poor, but at least not as much). I want to add additional content that wasn't there before and more content in general. But nothing as important as the reason I'm finally getting my act together:
VERY IMPORTANT, TOO IMPORTANT, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
I don't even fully understand how I got to this point, but I'm pleased to inform you that with the help of two artists, Shirou (illustrator of the Shadow Hearth cover: and Dwarf (I don't have his socials yet, but if I get them, I'll post them), we are going to be producing Fluffy Shadow in COMIC format.
Yes, it's incredible to me too. This agreement came about a little over a month ago, but I still can't quite believe it, especially since it all went something like this:
· (Shirou): Want to make a Fluffy Shadow comic?
· (Galactic Duck): Sounds great, let's do it.
I hope everything comes together quickly and, above all, turns out well. Unfortunately, we don't have any progress to show you yet besides this announcement. This is going to be a challenge for both me and the artists involved. Shirou even closed his source of income just to commit to the project, so I'll do my part too.
It's worth mentioning that, for reasons that go without saying, the content will be paid. Most likely through Patreon or a similar platform. That still needs to be discussed in depth, but it won't be free, as much as it pains me. Even so, we're not doing this for the money, but for the love of Sussie :) (Long live Sunny x Cassie)
Taking this opportunity, and since not everyone is reading Shadow Hearth, I'm also announcing another project I'm working on with my editor that will eventually see the light of day. The first one I'll announce is the closest to being released.
· Another Sunny x Cassie fanfic. It will be shorter, no more than ten chapters, and will be set around volume 10. It will be thematically darker.
I have several more projects I'm working on with my editor, but they won't see the light of day just yet. However, I can say they will be other romance fanfics featuring different characters from the novel.
I'm also planning two spin-offs, single chapters or two chapters max for Fluffy Shadow, but I'll keep you updated on that later.
I'm still starting the rewrite process, but it will come out little by little. However, I'd like to know your opinions: Should I replace the chapters with the new ones or upload another story with the same name? I'm unsure what to do, but you guys let me know!
