I folded my fists until my knuckles widened.
How am I going to find that clueless girl now?
She must have ran away or even worse, dead.
If Luke gets to her first then she is already gone.
I narrowed my eyes.
The last time I saw her was when I left her at the hospital. She must have gone to the police.
That is where I need to check first , but I can't.
Being a Manoka's son meant that I can't go to places that they will just arrest me.
Besides, I can't risk my life for her.
I don't even know her. But why do I feel like I need to be with her for some reason.
I sighed deeply and went out of the Manoka mansion.
It was well decorated with ancient art crafts and statues.
I think we have the real painting of Mona Lisa.
I walked past the study till I stopped.
I peeked through the door and saw Luke searching for something in my dad's drawer.
If Father finds out, he might punish him.
Or not. He is his favorite child anyway.
I pushed the door open which made Luke's shoulders to hunch back.
"Hey Luke..." I said, looking around at the mess he had made.
He is definitely looking for something.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
Luke looked away;
"None of your business." He replied.
"Okay. Now I know that it is my business." I snapped.
I looked into his eyes but he looked away, trying to avoid my cold stare.
He is planning something big.
"Just get out of here. Don't you have gym to attend?" He grumbled. I noticed his awkward tapping of his feet. He is getting impatient. I smiled.
"Yeah, I guess so. I will leave but remember..." I responded.
" Whatever you are planning to do, don't ruin the family's image." I went on.
Luke scoffed.
"Don't you mean 'don't ruin the family's image more than what you did?'" He countered.
I folded my fists. How I wish to punch him right in the face. I stood in front of him, only a breath away from each other. I looked at his cold face holding a devilish look;
"Don't tempt me, Luke." I warned. He just smirked.
"Whatever you say, little bro." He teased.
I walked out of the room. Even though I hate him from the depth of my heart, I can't just beat him up since I am no longer a full member of the family.
I entered my car and drove out of the compound.

I drove fast, ignoring all the traffic lights felt so free. Like the world was happy for my sake.
I stopped at the gym and did my normal routine. After that, I took a picture of myself shirtless.
"Kiss this bad boys." I teased myself.
I went to a restaurant and bought some snacks. With a ham burger in my mouth I mumbled some words while watching wrestling on my phone;
"Nice." I smiled.
I stood up to leave until I heard some sounds. I went to the back of the restaurant and saw a guy attacking a lady again. I pursed my lip.
Bad idea. I tossed the plastic wrapping in the trashcan and licked my fingers.
Hands on my waist, I called:
" Bro, you shouldn't be doing this." I commanded. The guy turned back. He looked at me. The innocent lady was still on the ground.
He was one of Luke's men.
"So?" He mocked. I smiled.
"I think I have to put you in your place." I laughed.
The guy tried to throw a punch but I avoided it and held his hand. I kicked him away with my leg which rendered him unconscious. I dustedg hands and went towards the lady and bent down.
"Ma'am are you okay?" I asked. She stared at me. I gasped.
"You?!" I shouted.
It was that lady again. The one that Luke is after. It all makes sense now.
"Please, help me." She begged. She looked famished and tired.
"I remember everything now. My name is Susie. People are after me." She went on. I froze upon hearing this. Sge doesn't know that I am part of them. I am not supposed to help her.
I stood up and walked away slowly.
"Are you just going to leave me like this?" She screamed.
"Probably." I replied coldly but firm. I don't want to get involved in this.
"Alright then. But my blood is in your hands!" She warned.
I stopped. Then turned around. Our eyes met and I could feel that sensation again.
What does it mean?
I groaned then went close to her.
"..." I opened my mouth but no words came out. I held my head in confusion.
"You are very annoying." I said. Susie just smiled. That smile sent shivers down my spine.
"So, it's a deal then." S
he said. I nodded my head.
I can't believe that I am getting involved in this!
Father will have my head if he finds out!
