"J...Jackson?"
"Yeah." Emily shrugged. "I currently just broke up with Damian yesterday and at that same time I met Jackson. He asked me out and now we're official."
(Just yesterday? Nancy thought? What?)
"Here.... This is him." Emily smiled as she showed Nancy the picture in his phone. "This are his friends" she said scrolling up. " That Alice, Kyle, Allison and Evielyn." She pointed each as she said their names.
Nancy unconsciously stared at Kyle and smiled. They looked cute in the picture.
"So... You just met yesterday and you agreed to date him? Who does that?"
"Um... Me? He's cute and why wouldn't I? You want me to live without a boyfriend. Never girl." She said as she looked at her best friend whose eyes couldn't stop staring at the phone. She noticed she was starting at Kyle and looking at the guy features she noticed he does have blue eyes and brown hair. Wait, hold on. Is Kyle.....
"Wait... Don't tell me it's him....." She pointed at Kyle. "...you fell in love with."
Nancy jolted and looked away. "No!....I mean yes,No!"
"What? Then I could totally help you. He's Jackson friend and they just transfered to our school two days ago."
"They transferred to our school?"
"Yeah. If it's Kyle you're in love with then I could just ask Jackson about him. I could even do it now."
"No Don't. Please."
"Why? Are you shy? Don't worry gal I gat you. I'll boost your confidence if that's what you lack. " She said smiling
"You mean boost my confidence with makeup? Sure." Nancy rolled her eyes. Emily was always like that it was almost impossible to figure how they became friends.
"So..." Emily said as she put off her phone and laid on the bed. "Should I hook you two up?"
"No. You know what? Just let me take things at my own pace." Yeah like knowing everything about them first before engaging conversation talk less of a relationship.
"Anyways though Emily I'm not sure I trust Jackson. You don't even know him much."
"It doesn't matter. Who cares. Though if he tries to break my heart I'll know it the right time just do the dumping."
"How about now as the right time?"
"Yeah... No!"
"Great. I'll still keep an eye on Jackson. No matter what."
"Like you did with damian, Dylan, Scott and every other guy I dated?"
"Exactly." It would be like what she had always done. Look out for her bestie but this time since Jackson had something to do with her, she would take it seriously. Wait... Is that the reason why he asked Emily out? To get to her and find out every information about her?
"Emily you got to break up with him. Today."
"Why?" Emily asked curious
"Please I know what I'm saying."
"A solid reason would be nice."
"Just... Never mind. You can leave now."
"Leave? Where am I going to...."
"Isn't you so 'boyfriend' calling you?"
"What are you talking about Nancy? Are you okay?..."Emily's phone rang and she picked up the call. "Hey babe."
Emily looked out the window and returned her attention to her call. " Yeah would be nice." She got down from the bed still on the call. "Now?" She looked at Nancy who crossed her hand on her chest quietly staring at her.
"Okay love. I'll be there in two minutes." Emily said before cutting the call.
"I've got to go Nancy."
"Let me guess. On a date with Jackson?"
"Yup." She said picking up her purse from a side table. "Call me if you need me okay."
"Can I call you now? I need you not to meet Jackson."
"Maybe don't." She walked to the door. " Anyways bye." Open the door and leaves.
Falling backwards on her bed, Nancy thought of how Jackson attending their school was really suspicious.plus the fact that he's now dating Emily. She stared out of the window and sighed lately she's been thinking and she needed to stop. Right now, what would her help was a nice bath and she headed for her bathroom.
Nancy filled the bathtub with warm water and undressed before slowly sinking into it. She loved the warm water and the way it soothed her skin. Few minutes and she almost fell asleep when Nancy heard a creak.
A creepy shadow like creature rounded up in her room and slowly moved to her bathroom. Each step it took got the lights to go off and the more it got to her bathroom door.
"Who's there?" Nancy asked feeling uneasy. She felt a presense at her door and she was terrified because it cause goosebumps all over her. She knew whatever it was, it wasn't something friendly. Taking an initiative, she wore a robe and as fast as possible got out of the bathroom through the windows.
She ran as fast as possible away from her house and she heard wood breaking and glass ripped apart shaking at the floor then a loud screaming demonic voice.
It was already sundown and the cool night breeze of night begin to sleep in. She decided to hide at a block but sounds of screeching made her run again. When she finally stopped, she found herself right at the entrance of a closed shop in a empty street.
Her breaths were heavy and her hair disheveled. She took notice of the shop she stopped at. It was an antique shop.
She decided to walk in and to be surprised the shop wasn't locked. Her attention was quickly drawn to a jewelry in a mirror box. It was a earring with blue like crystal colors. She got attracted to it and immediately moved to wear it.
She put on the earrings and unknown to her it turned purple in color. As she was about to leave the shop, she noticed that the dark shadow was waiting at the door. She was terrified and unconsciously moved three steps backwards as she hit one of the tables.
The dark shadow wanted to move in when she heard a loud sound of slashing and then a bright light was plung on. The shadow creature immediately burned up and three people walked through the door while from the back door two people walked in.
A flash light was pointed at her and she had to cover her face form the light. "A..are you okay?" Jackson asked leaning at the door.
"She's cold." Evielyn said pulling her leather jacket and placing it on Nancy. "What happened." She asked Nancy curiously.
" I..." Nancy stammered as her eyes became dizzy." There was a .... Mons.... I had to ....run." Falling over, she fainted.
