Chapter 42: The Biography of Uchiha Madara is Complete

When Akiyama Makoto returned to his senses from the simulation, his talent upgrade was already complete.

He had spent a long time in the simulation, and he hadn't just been indulging in Ino's gentle embrace. He had also carefully studied his greatest gain from this run: the knowledge and experience of medical ninjutsu. Fortunately, he could use this medical ninjutsu experience right now. Unfortunately, in reality, he still needed to find a legitimate way to learn it. On this matter, he already had a few ideas. If the attack from the simulation was still to come in a month, then that would be the perfect reason for him to come into contact with all of this.

Besides medical ninjutsu, what interested him most was his sensory ability. He couldn't wait to start testing it out.

He closed his eyes, allowing chakra to flow to his head as his spiritual energy began to expand outward. Like a radar scan, everything around him, with him at the center, appeared in his mind. Most objects were colorless, black and white. It wasn't until his consciousness flew past his own courtyard, expanding to a radius of nearly a hundred meters, that figures with chakra in their bodies appeared in his mind as colored, humanoid shapes.

Makoto suppressed his excitement and tried to identify who the people with chakra were. Soon, he had matched the familiar names with their chakra signatures. They were his neighbors.

At this point, he had basically mastered the use of his new talent. He clenched his fists in excitement. With this, unless he was ambushed by a ninja with overwhelming strength or even stronger sensory abilities, his life would be largely out of danger. What's more, he also had medical ninjutsu. It could be said that as long as he didn't actively court death, it would be quite difficult for him to die from now on.

Tonight, he could clearly sleep soundly.

However, he still wanted to test if he could use Shadow Clones for training in his current condition.

No sooner said than done. He created a Shadow Clone, ordered it to stand guard all night using its sensory ability, and then went to sleep himself.

When he woke up, the sun was already high in the sky.

Makoto looked at the clock. It was already ten in the morning. He searched his memories and was disappointed to find that the Shadow Clone had only lasted for three hours before disappearing. The price for that was him oversleeping for three hours. This meant that with his current physical fitness, he clearly couldn't sustain a Shadow Clone for training.

But he wasn't too disappointed by this. He already had the ultimate weapon in the simulator. Each simulation allowed him to train for a lifetime. A mere Shadow Clone was nothing. He could wait until his chakra reserves increased in the future to use them.

In the following days, Makoto's life entered a period of stability.

Tenten went on about three to four missions a month. If she had any time off in between, she would come and train with him for at least a day. Ino, on the other hand, checked in with him every day. But because she had to attend school, she no longer guided his chakra circulation hand-in-hand. Even on weekends, her guidance was limited to teaching him tree climbing and water walking.

Makoto, now with a solid foundation, displayed a relatively high talent, which surprised Ino greatly. She even lamented that it was a real pity he wasn't a ninja.

On his end, Makoto was able to gain about one simulation attempt per week. The efficiency was low, but it couldn't be helped. The proportion of female ninja was already small, and the number who could live to retirement was even smaller. Add to that the condition that they had to be watching children and willing to come to his place to tell stories, and the pool of candidates was drastically reduced. This was also why he wanted to learn medical ninjutsu; it would give him a better excuse to proactively make contact with more elderly people and children.

Faced with these hard-earned simulation attempts, Makoto was in no hurry to use them. He had already mastered enough in the simulations. What he needed most now was to grow in the real world.

And so, Makoto patiently grew for three weeks.

Training his body, refining his chakra, writing his book—his life was almost a three-point line. The weather also gradually grew colder. With the 63rd year of Konoha coming to a close, Naruto and the others would be graduating after the spring of next year. He, too, was ready to take a new step.

On this day, Makoto came to the Hokage's Office with his book in his arms. The last time he had come, he had needed to fill out a form and wait for half a day to see the Hokage. This time, he was granted an audience almost immediately after announcing his name.

"It's you, Makoto. Long time no see."

Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled kindly, the wrinkles on his face growing deeper, as if they were carved into his very bones.

"Is there something you need my help with this time?"

Hiruzen was naturally well aware of what Makoto had been doing and was amazed that someone so young could mobilize so many ninja. But he understood the logic behind it. In short, Makoto was beloved by the village's elders and children. To become famous and build one's network in Konoha in such a way was something even Hiruzen had never heard of. In the past, similar things had only happened with teachers.

Therefore, Hiruzen had become even more interested in him. Unfortunately, Konoha was truly short-handed, and he couldn't have an Anbu ninja watch him every day. He could only rely on the elders in his clan to relay what Makoto was doing. When he heard that Makoto trained and wrote every day without slacking, his opinion of him rose even higher.

He had talent, emotional intelligence, and unwavering perseverance. It was a pity this child wasn't a ninja. Otherwise, Hiruzen would have definitely assigned someone to train him specially.

Even now, Hiruzen was contemplating a question: what should he do with Akiyama Makoto next? That's right. Even if he wasn't a ninja, Hiruzen couldn't just let him remain an ordinary person. There were ordinary people working in the Hokage's Office as well; Makoto himself was nominally an Archive Administrator. Perhaps he could find a way to get him a higher position?

"Lord Hokage, I didn't come to ask for your help today."

Makoto placed the draft in his hands on Hiruzen's desk. This brought the somewhat daydreaming Hokage back to his senses. He looked at the manuscript in surprise, unable to react for a moment. In his mind, writing a book should take at least half a year, or even a full year, right? How long had Makoto been writing? Not even two months, surely?

Skeptically, Hiruzen opened the book. In the span of a few breaths, he was completely engrossed, as if he had returned to that bloody era of warring states, personally witnessing the heroic figure of Uchiha Madara. Especially during the great battle between the Uchiha and the Senju clans, his breathing quickened, and he even subconsciously found himself wanting Uchiha Madara to win.
