Prologue!
Life is meaningless without money. With money, you can acquire whatever you want: cars, houses, happiness, peace of mind and, most importantly, girls.
I always believed that until I discovered one thing that truly makes life worth living… Love.
You might call me naive, but trust me without love, life feels bland, boring, and uninteresting.
My name is Max Ashwell. I'm a 23-year-old virgin. I have average looks, no striking features just curly brown hair, a slightly pointed nose, and piercing blue eyes.
As for finances, I'm also pretty average. A few thousand dollars to my name. But here's what sets me apart from my peers: I worked for every penny.
I fought tooth and nail, sacrificing sweat, blood, and time just to make ends meet. Things were tough until I landed a job at a company that pays me ten thousand dollars a month.
Sounds small? Well, to someone like me, it's a fortune.
Anyway, back to the story.
I've always been a loner no love, no one to care for me, and no one to care for. No girl ever accepted my advances, and honestly, I gave up on chasing them... until I met her.
Suz.
The most beautiful woman I've ever seen. The one who completes me, my heart's desire, my sweetheart. The only girl who truly understands me.
I would love to recount how we met, but there's no time for that now.
We crossed paths at Silverwing Enterprise, where I had just started working.
She was assigned to help me get acquainted with the job. We talked, worked together, and gradually built a bond that bloomed into love.
A year has passed since then, and today, I decided to take our relationship to the next level. But for the past few days, I have been getting a call from an unknown caller warning me about Suz.
"She's not into you bro, don't waste your time otherwise, you will be left heartbroken."
"The guy is a mafia heir, don't drag Suz with him otherwise you would lose your life."
"Beware and be warned. Stay careful."
These were the words of the caller every single night. Though Max wanted to ignore it, something about the caller's words kept gnawing at him, making him want to find out things for himself and confront Suz.
And it so happens that today is the day he would want to find out things for himself.
"Yoo! I can't believe my little boy is growing to become a man." The voice of a young, 23 year old man rang out in a small apartment.
The apartment was a sleek, modern one-bedroom perched on the eighth floor of a new mid-range complex downtown.
Smooth wooden floors stretched across the open-plan living room, leading to a wide glass window that offered a dazzling view of the city lights at night.
The walls were freshly painted in soft gray tones, giving the space a calm, sophisticated air.
A plush, dark blue couch faced a minimalist entertainment setup, with a smart TV mounted cleanly against the wall.
Near the kitchen, a marble countertop divided the space, with two stylish barstools tucked neatly beneath it.
The kitchen gleamed with stainless steel appliances, a full-sized fridge, an electric stove, and even a fancy coffee machine he rarely used but kept because it "looked professional."
In the bedroom, a king-sized bed with crisp white sheets promised comfort, while a simple black desk sat against the far wall, where his laptop and a scattered mess of papers showed signs of late-night work.
The bathroom, complete with a glass-walled shower and polished tiles, smelled faintly of his cologne mixed with the sharp scent of cleaning agents.
It wasn't a penthouse, but it was leagues above the broken world he had crawled from and a place that finally felt like a home built by his own hands.
A young man stepped forward. His slightly disheveled black hair fluttered a little below his collarbone, his striking brown eyes stared at Max who stood in front of him in a dazzling black suit and pants with a bouquet of flowers in one hand, a box of chocolates in the other, and a ring case protruding from his chest pocket.
This was Joe, Max's best friend who along with him shared this apartment and they also worked together in Silverwing Enterprise.
"What can I say?" Max asked with a chuckle. "Dating her for a year has been enough to change my life for the good and fill it with happiness that I can't wait to make her mine, forever."
"Don't you think you are rushing things?" Joe asked as he yawned slightly because he was just waking up. "You are just twenty three, with a salary of ten thousand… can you manage?"
"Sure I can, it's not a big deal. So just drop it and tell me how I look." Max said with a wide smile as he turned around for Joe to get a good look.
Max hadn't told Joe about the mysterious caller or the thought of Suz cheating on him because he knew how hot-headed his friend could be.
If he found out, he would march all the way to Suz's apartment and drag her by the hair while questioning her the reason she had to break his brother from another mother's heart.
Imagining that, Max just chuckled inwardly.
"You look like a groom that's so eager to get married despite earning ten thousand dollars." Joe chuckled as he strode towards the fridge and took a can of beverage.
*PSSST!*
The can opened up as Joe began chugging it down.
"Tsk! Party pooper. Anyway, I'm off." Max said as he walked towards the door, opened it and then turned back around to glare at Joe.
"Don't bring too many girls home otherwise I'm going to kill you when one of you wrecks my bed again."
"I'm not promising that." Joe said as he wiped a smudge of drink off his face. "Unlike you, I'm not a weakling when it comes to banging. So go get your wife and let me be with my harem."
"You will never change." Max sighed as he shook his head and walked out of the door.
When outside, Max walked towards the gate, opened it up, hailed a taxi, got in and gave Suz's address.
'Suz, please don't let me regret this. Don't let my suspicions be true. Don't let the words of that unknown caller be true.' Max thought inwardly as the taxi got a move on, his hands mistakenly brushed against his pants as a bulge could be felt.
He gulped and glanced at the box of chocolate and a bouquet of flowers on his lap.
*Screech!*
The tires of the taxi came to a screeching halt in front of a medium sized bungalow after a few minutes of driving.
"We are here." The driver announced.
Looking out the window, Max forced a smile as he got out of the taxi, paid the driver and in excitement, gave a tip as he anxiously walked towards the bungalow's gate.
Opening it up, it made a loud noise.
He was about to knock when the door creaked open slightly.
"Huh? That's strange, she doesn't leave her door open. What could be wrong today?" Max muttered as he slowly pushed the door open to find himself in a small living room.
A massive cream-colored sectional couch dominated the center of the room, draped with velvet throw pillows that seemed barely used.
A glass coffee table sat in front of it, polished to a mirror shine but holding nothing personal with just a few glossy fashion magazines neatly stacked for show.
The walls were decorated with oversized paintings, abstract swirls of color that spoke more about price tags than personal taste.
A chandelier which was too grand for the small space hung low from the ceiling, scattering sharp, glittering light across the glossy marble floors.
A huge TV was mounted on the far wall, surrounded by expensive-looking but cold black shelving units, each lined with trinkets and decor pieces that still had their store tags hidden underneath.
The whole place smelled faintly of vanilla-scented air freshener, masking the underlying scent of disuse. It
"Huh? She's not here, I wonder where she could be." Max mumbled as he stroked his chin slightly and then his eyes lit up. "Right! Maybe in her bedroom!"
With the destination in mind, he took a sharp corner from the living room and in a minute, he stood in front of a door. His heart was pounding with excitement as his hands slowly pushed the door open.
It hadn't opened more than a few inches before Max froze, his eyes dilating, hands trembled and hovered over the door's knob. His heart thumping not because of excitement again, but dread.
Why was that? It was the sounds he was hearing from inside the room which made his mind spin.
"Mhmmm" a beautiful female voice moaned from inside the room.
The sounds of flesh pounding against each other with steady rhythm like that of a heartbeat. The moans grew louder as the sound of two figures breathing heavily was heard.
"Mhmmm… yes Jack, kee… oh my God! Yes Jack! Ahhh… mhmmm… ahhh…"
"Suz?" Max muttered as he slowly peeked into the door, the bouquet of flowers and box of chocolates falling down his hands as what he saw made his mouth dry.
His heart felt like it stopped for a split second as he could see a bulky young man, pounding Suz so roughly that her medium sized bed creaked loudly.
The smell of sex filled the air, Suz's voice growing louder and louder with each thrust of Jack's seven inches rod.
"Yes… scream my name more… scream!" Jack's voice boomed as he increased his intensity more, Suz's legs hung in the air as her moans grew so loud that Max was sure the neighbors must be hearing her now.
"Ohh….mhmmm… yes, yes, yes! That… that's the spot Jack!" Suz cried out as Jack kept thrusting harder and harder.
"Is this how you scream your so-called boyfriend's name when he bangs you? Call me names, keep moaning!" Jack roared like a teacher scolding his student.
"Mhmmm… boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend, yo… oh my God! This is the best feeling ever… ohh… I'm… I'm cumming, I'm…I'm cumming!" Suz cried out.
"I'm…. I'm cumming too." Jack announced, his movements grew more erotic and then… "ahh… that feels good."
The sound of something running like water echoed in the room. As Suz's legs vibrated with intensity, her breathing grew slightly ragged, sweat drenched her and Jack.
"I love you, Jack." Suz said when the sound of the door creaking open interrupted them.
Turning towards the door, Max could be seen standing there, his eyes moist slightly, a forced smile on his face, a bouquet of flowers beneath his feet, along with a box of chocolates.
"Max?!"
