Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Stats, Strength, and Friends

The system screen hovered silently in the corner of Raghuveer's vision, glowing a soft blue as the morning light filtered through the shoji doors.

[Stat Points Available: 5]

Five points. A gift—or rather, a seed.

Sitting cross-legged on the tatami mat after breakfast, Raghuveer stared thoughtfully at the screen, considering his next move. His mind, still sharp from his past life, calculated quickly. "Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Charisma," he murmured. "Five points to shape my foundation."

He already had 10 Intelligence, likely inherited from his past life knowledge and learning. That explained why he understood economics, language, and memory retention better than any five-year-old could.

"I don't need to touch Intelligence for now," he thought, fingers tapping his knee. "I'll build the body I never got to strengthen in my last life."

He grinned and assigned the points.

> +2 Strength

+2 Agility

+1 Charisma

The screen flashed.

> Updated Stats

Strength: 4

Agility: 5

Intelligence: 10

Charisma: 6

He flexed his small fists and stood up. His balance felt sharper. His muscles, still small, had more stability. "Good," he whispered, satisfied.

Then came the thought that made him freeze. "Wait… If I gain 1 stat point daily from the exercise quest…"

[Quest: Morning Jog and Stretch – Reward: +1 Stat Point]

"…Do I get that forever?" he asked aloud.

The system responded instantly.

[SYSTEM REPLY]

Stat rewards from Daily Physical Quests are available only until Host reaches age 10.

After that, stat development will depend on natural growth and skill-based achievements.

"Five years," he muttered. "Five years to build the foundation. After that, the world becomes real."

He straightened up. "Challenge accepted."

The room was quiet, but his heart thundered. This life wouldn't be wasted. Not this time.

He had already finished his morning jog—ten laps around the backyard, stretch routines, and controlled breathing. The system rewarded him promptly.

+1 Stat Point Gained

He stored it for later use. Today wasn't just about physical growth.

It was Sunday—no school. That meant only one thing.

"It's time to go to the park," he said with a grin, recalling the side quest.

[Side Quest: Make a New Friend – Reward: +1 Charisma]

He walked to the door, where his grandmother was watering the plants.

"Obaasan, I'm going to the neighborhood park!"

She blinked in surprise. "You are?"

He nodded. "I feel… good today. I want to see the world again."

Tears welled up in her eyes as she smiled warmly. "You've changed, sweetheart. Since… since yesterday afternoon, it's like a light came back into your eyes. I was so worried. You didn't smile. You barely spoke. Now, look at you…"

She though after his parents died last month he has been sad and rarely leaves his room but now he changed.

She stepped forward and gently cupped his cheeks. "Your parents would be proud."

He didn't know what to say, so he hugged her tightly.

Then he waved goodbye, slipped on his shoes, and stepped out into the Tokyo sun.

The local park was just a few blocks away. Laughter echoed through the air, birds chirped above, and the wind carried the scent of springtime. As Raghuveer—now using the name Satoshi Yamamoto—approached the gates, he froze.

There they were.

The main cast of his childhood.

Nobita, falling over himself as Gian shoved him. Sunio, laughing cruelly. And Shizuka, trying to stop them.

It was like a scene straight from an episode. And just like then, Nobita was helpless. But this time—Satoshi wouldn't just watch.

Gian raised his fist again.

And Satoshi moved.

He stepped in without fear, intercepting the punch mid-air. His hand caught Gian's wrist with surprising force, halting the bully in his tracks.

"What…?!" Gian stared, stunned. "Who the heck are you?!"

Satoshi's eyes were calm. "It's wrong to hit someone weaker than you. It's cowardice."

Sunio laughed nervously. "W-We weren't serious!"

Shizuka blinked in surprise. Nobita sat on the ground, wide-eyed.

Gian pulled his arm back, angry. "You think you're tough, huh?!"

Satoshi didn't flinch. His stance shifted into a black belt-ready pose, honed from his martial arts training in his past life.

Gian hesitated. For all his bark, he had never fought someone who looked him dead in the eye and didn't budge. And Satoshi wasn't bluffing.

After a tense pause, Gian grumbled and turned away. "Whatever. Let's go, Sunio."

They walked off, fuming but silent.

Shizuka stepped forward. "That was amazing! Thank you. I've never seen anyone stop Gian before."

Satoshi scratched his head, suddenly nervous. "I-It was nothing…"

She held out her hand with a soft smile. "I'm Minamoto Shizuka."

He blushed. His childhood crush, right in front of him, thanking him. He took her hand. "I'm Yamamoto Satoshi. Nice to meet you."

Her hand was warm. He almost forgot to breathe.

Then, another hand was held out—bruised and scraped.

Nobita smiled up at him. "Thanks, Satoshi-kun… You're the first one other than Shizuka to help me."

Satoshi gently pulled him up. "Anytime."

They sat together under a tree, and as the afternoon passed, they played games, shared snacks, and laughed. For the first time in both his lives, Satoshi felt what it meant to be a part of something.

As the sky turned orange, and the others began to head home, Satoshi noticed Nobita limping.

"Let me walk you home," he offered.

Nobita blinked. "Are you sure?"

"You're bruised. Your knees are scraped. It's no trouble."

When they reached the familiar blue-roofed house, Satoshi's heart skipped a beat.

There she was.

Nobita's mom.

Graceful, elegant, and every bit as stunning as he remembered. Her figure was… distractingly curvy for a cartoon character brought to life.

She turned, startled. "Oh! Who's this?"

Satoshi bowed politely, slipping off his shoes. "I'm Yamamoto Satoshi. I was helping Nobita to walk him home."

Then she saw her son's knees.

"What happened?!"

"He tripped," Satoshi said quickly. "Nothing serious. I helped him up."

She gave a relieved sigh and gently took Nobita inside. "Thank you for being kind. Would you like to come in?"

He shook his head. "No, thank you. My grandma will worry. I will come some other time "

She smiled. "Well then, thank you, Satoshi-kun. Come by anytime."

He bowed again and stepped out into the dusk.

[Quest Complete: Make a New Friend]

Reward: +1 Charisma

Grinning, he returned home, where his grandmother welcomed him with open arms.

"How was it?" she asked.

"I made friends," he said, beaming. "Real ones."

Her eyes welled up again, but this time with joy. "I'm so proud of you."

That night, as he lay under soft covers, the ceiling above him glowing with starlight stickers, Satoshi whispered:

"My second life has truly begun."
