Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Escape?

"Sigh,"

Lying on the ground, and breathing heavily with sweat pouring down his face, was a young man.

He was wearing a black t-shirt emblazoned with the Uchiha clan's distinctive fan symbol.

He stared up at the darkening sky.

It had been twenty years since Uchiha Yamikage had arrived in this world from Earth. (T/N: his name is Yamikage, Yami in short, but some will use Yamikage hen addressing him)

Knowing full well the dangers that lurked in every corner of the shinobi world, he had lived with extreme caution, never exposing his knowledge while desperately hoping for some kind of system or ability to manifest, but none ever came.

Therefore, he had devoted himself to relentless training instead, determined to acquire the power necessary to protect himself and anyone he cared about.

However, despite his tireless efforts, he had discovered that there was still a gap between himself and genuine geniuses like Uchiha Shisui, who had recently surpassed him in every measurable way.

But time was running short.

The night of the Uchiha massacre was approaching, and he could no longer afford to wait.

He wanted to save his clan.

As such…

The thought of trying to reason with Konoha's shortsighted leadership held no appeal for him.

Only absolute strength could change anything, but it had become painfully clear that he lacked such talent.

That left only one viable option: find a way to unite the entire Uchiha clan's strength to face the looming catastrophe.

At that moment…

"Ding!"

"System activated!"

[To a Chaotic World]

[Quest: Establish yourself as a power in the world of One Piece.

Objective: -Become a great pirate with a bounty of 500 million berries.

Or:

-Achieve the rank of Shichibukai.

Time limit: Three months.

Quest reward: Bloodline Awakening.]

At this moment, after thinking for so long… Yami was about to rise and confront the current clan leader, Uchiha Fugaku, to lay out the harsh realities they faced.

But the voice that echoed in his mind froze him in place.

"Is that what I think it is?"

"Hahaha!"

After processing what had just occurred, Uchiha Yamikage burst into laughter.

He browsed the information quickly.

He had the chance to go to another world, where he had to fulfill the objective.

"A real world!" he murmured, his eyes blazing with newfound hope.

"Not some illusion that will vanish, but rather a stable, permanent world different from any genjutsu!"

Through the system's power, Yamikage accessed the details of the world directly.

This dimension could be entered and exited at will; there was no requirement to complete objectives before being allowed to leave.

More importantly, he confirmed that he could bring others with him without restriction.

Anyone who could pass through the dimensional vortex would be transported to the other world. (The one-piece world)

"There's no time to waste," he declared, his mind racing with possibilities.

He had already decided earlier that he was going to talk with the clan leader.

It was just that now, he had a new option to suggest…

"If they wouldn't treat us fairly…"

"Then it's better for the Uchiha to rise to prominence in another world than to wither away in Konoha!"

Yamikage had made his decision.

That very night, he sought out Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Shisui.

One possessed the authority to determine the clan's future, while the other had the power to prevent word of this plan from reaching Konoha's ears.

They met at the Uchiha ancestral shrine, a place steeped in the clan's history and traditions.

"What urgent matter requires my attention, Yamikage-san?" Fugaku asked, sitting on the tatami mat with a grave expression.

"Given how complex Shisui's situation has become, if this is truly something important, you should speak directly."

Although Yami knew his own limitations, he was still considered among the strongest of the current generation of Uchiha.

Had Shisui not emerged as such an exceptional talent, Yami would have held the title of the clan's most promising genius.

"Clan head, this concerns the very future of our clan," Yami replied solemnly, meeting Fugaku's gaze.

"Shisui's presence is essential for what I'm about to propose."

He intended to relocate the entire Uchiha clan to the one-piece world, breaking free from Konoha's restraints.

By using the collective strength of their clan, they could establish a fearsome existence on the seas without enduring the persecution they faced here.

While risks certainly existed in that world, they paled in comparison to remaining in Konoha and awaiting a genocide to happen.

To execute this plan safely, both Fugaku and Shisui were indispensable.

"Very well, if you insist," Fugaku conceded, though his mind churned with questions.

'What could this young man be planning?'

His thoughts turned to the increasingly visible ostracism the Uchiha faced within the village.

The conflict had begun with the Nine-Tails' attack and had only intensified over time.

Despite repeatedly yielding to Konoha's demands, the village continued to push forward with discriminatory policies while doing nothing to stop the spreading rumors.

Members of the police force could no longer walk the streets without hearing villagers openly pointing and cursing at them.

The situation had reached an unbearable breaking point.

Before Fugaku could delve deeper into his concerns, Shisui finally appeared.

"Clan Head, Yamikage-san," Shisui greeted them, though surprise flickered across his features.

Usually, clan meetings included at least all jōnin-level members, but tonight there were only the three of them.

This unusual arrangement made him wonder what they intended to discuss, and put him on guard, given his own conflicted loyalties.

While Itachi served as a double agent, Shisui's allegiance lay entirely with Konoha, though his ultimate goal remained the peaceful coexistence of the Uchiha and the village.

"Now that everyone is here, you may proceed, Yamikage-san," Fugaku said, noting how the young man had been sketching what appeared to be some kind of map throughout their waiting time.

He had glanced at the strange place names earlier, locations that existed nowhere in the known shinobi world, but had chosen not to inquire, waiting instead for Shisui's arrival.

"What I want to discuss is something very important,"

"The conflict between our clan and the village has passed the point of reconciliation," Yamikage began without preamble or sugar-coating.

"Unless Konoha's entire leadership is replaced or someone from the Uchiha becomes Hokage, which in itself is impossible, peaceful coexistence is not a possibility. One side must disappear."

"And the side that will disappear will undoubtedly be the Uchiha," he continued, his voice carrying grim certainty.

"That's why change is necessary."

Yami spoke directly and honestly, laying the brutal truth before both men without embellishment or false hope.

There was no point in harboring illusions about Konoha's leadership turning around their stance… continuing on their current path meant death for the Uchiha.

What he said so far, made their expression turn grave.

"That's why I propose we take the entire clan and leave Konoha behind!"

His next words, however plunged the shrine into silence.

Shisui was thinking rapidly.

Conflicting thoughts raced through his mind.

'Had the clan leader and Yamikage somehow discovered my allegiance to Konoha? Is this meeting actually a trap?'

Meanwhile, Fugaku found himself confronting the same terrible result he had been noticing lately.

Their situation had truly deteriorated so completely that fleeing Konoha might have had become their only option.
