Chapter 539 - Chapter 539

The Supreme Sorcerer's portals were never limited to Earth alone.

In Avengers: Endgame, Doctor Strange had created portals connecting Earth and Titan, allowing the resurrected heroes like Spider-Man to step directly onto the battlefield.

The true key to opening such portals wasn't about distance or energy—it depended entirely on the caster's imagination.

So when Thor (Thor Odinson) finished speaking, Senju Haruto immediately raised a hand and opened a shimmering golden portal right before his eyes.

Odin, watching this, was no longer surprised.

The Ancient One had once been capable of traveling the cosmos in her physical form—she could even cross into other universes. But now, Haruto's abilities had clearly surpassed even hers.

Opening a portal from Asgard to Earth? For Haruto, that was as easy as breathing.

If possible, Odin would've preferred that Haruto stay and help rebuild the Bifröst Bridge. But as Haruto had said himself—he was the Supreme Sorcerer, Earth's greatest protector.

His duty wasn't to rebuild Asgard's rainbow bridge, but to guard his own world from other-dimensional threats.

"Haruto."

Thor suddenly took a step forward as if remembering something important. He drew in a deep breath, his tone solemn.

"Please… look after Jane for me."

Thor loved Jane Foster deeply—but he wasn't the kind of man who would abandon his duty for love. Rebuilding the Bifröst was his responsibility, and he had to see it through.

He could easily have delegated the task to Lady Sif, to the Warriors Three, or to any other god in the palace. Odin likely would have understood, even approved, if Thor chose to accompany Haruto back to Earth.

But Thor knew he couldn't do that. That would've been running away.

After much thought, he could only entrust Jane's safety to Haruto—to ensure that S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't trouble her.

If possible, he wanted Jane and Dr. Erik Selvig to continue their research in peace, without interference.

"Sure," Haruto replied with a slight nod. "Leave it to me."

With his current influence, such a task would be trivial.

Under the watchful gaze of Odin and the others, Senju Haruto turned away and stepped into the golden ring of fire.

The portal shrank behind him—then vanished completely.

Upon returning to Earth, Haruto didn't immediately look for Stark.

Instead, he pulled out his phone and called Agent Coulson.

He briefly explained the situation: Thor would not be returning for a while, and S.H.I.E.L.D. was to leave Jane Foster alone.

"I understand," Coulson replied politely.

Thor's involvement alone had already softened S.H.I.E.L.D.'s stance. Now that Haruto himself had spoken, they naturally wouldn't risk defying him.

In fact, this whole incident led to a shift in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s approach—they decided to collaborate with Dr. Erik Selvig on a new project related to the Cosmic Cube.

Selvig, of course, was eager to participate. It was a win-win outcome for everyone involved.

After hanging up, Haruto didn't head for New York—he went to Wakanda.

"Lord Hokage."

Orochimaru's raspy voice greeted him the moment he appeared.

By now, the snake-like scientist had long grown used to Haruto's dramatic entrances. A sly grin spread across his face as he presented his newest research—findings related to Uru Metal.

Back when Haruto destroyed the Destroyer armor, he'd naturally claimed its remains for himself.

At the time, he'd been careful—his attack had been powerful enough to obliterate the Destroyer, but not so much that it vaporized the wreckage entirely.

As a result, the amount of Uru Metal he'd recovered was quite substantial.

Not enough to forge another full-sized Destroyer armor—but more than enough to craft something tailored to his own size and needs.

"This metal is quite fascinating," Orochimaru said, his tone a mix of curiosity and frustration. "But in terms of hardness, it's still inferior to the Vibranium found here."

He frowned slightly. "And… melting it down for reforging is extremely difficult. Its melting point is even higher than Vibranium's."

He looked puzzled.

The metal was less durable than Vibranium, yet required more energy to process. He simply couldn't understand why Haruto valued it so highly.

From what Orochimaru knew, Haruto could easily abandon this metal altogether and focus on developing Vibranium technology instead—especially since Wakanda's advancements in that field were already far beyond the rest of the world.

But Haruto merely smiled faintly.

Orochimaru was a scientist and a shinobi, but not a mage. He couldn't possibly know that Uru Metal's true potential lay in its compatibility with magic.

That was precisely why Haruto had come to him before visiting Stark.

"Orochimaru," Haruto said in a calm, commanding voice. "Summon the Rashomon."

"…Understood, Lord Hokage."

Though he didn't know what Haruto was planning, Orochimaru complied without question.

To avoid destroying his laboratory, Haruto brought him out into the forest instead.

He also carried a small block of Uru Metal in his hand.

After confirming that the area was clear, Orochimaru clasped his hands together and slammed them onto the ground.

"Triple Rashomon!"

Three massive demonic gates burst from the earth one after another, each etched with grimacing oni faces.

Haruto weighed the Uru Metal in his palm, then aimed for the first gate.

Without using chakra or magic—just pure muscle strength—he hurled the metal forward.

Boom!

The Uru chunk struck the center of the first gate with an explosive crack.

Web-like fissures spread rapidly across its surface before the entire gate shattered into rubble within seconds.

The second and third Rashomon gates remained intact, but the sheer force of that throw left Orochimaru speechless.

"To think your physical strength alone could be so monstrous…" he muttered, stunned.

Even Naruto's Sage Mode didn't grant him that level of raw, overwhelming power.

"Again," Haruto said evenly.

He raised his hand, using Universal Pull to summon the Uru Metal back into his grasp.

Then he whispered a brief incantation—ancient words that shimmered with mystical energy—and infused the metal with a layer of magic.

Orochimaru's eyes narrowed.

He couldn't understand the words Haruto spoke, but he could feel the change. The metal now pulsed faintly, as though alive.

He quickly formed hand signs again and summoned another Triple Rashomon.

This time, his interest was fully piqued.

Once more, Haruto didn't use chakra or any overt spellcasting.

He simply drew back his arm and threw.

KRAKOOM!

The explosion echoed through half the forest. The Uru chunk pierced the first gate, blasted through the second, and demolished the third—obliterating all three in one single strike.

Orochimaru stood frozen, unable to speak.

He could only stare at the cratered remains of his Rashomon gates, the echo of that impossible impact still rumbling in his chest.

Senju Haruto, it seemed, had just turned a simple piece of metal into a weapon that defied every known limit.
