Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 – First Radish Soup

The sky within Goblin's Grove slowly turned a soft orange. Although there was no real sun, the dungeon system adjusted the lighting to mimic dusk, giving the place a peaceful atmosphere. After days of clearing and replanting, the small farm looked neat and well-organized.

Today, Lee Jun and Kang Minho stood at the edge of the field, watching the first harvest: a small patch of fresh radishes, just pulled from the soil by the goblins that morning.

"If we sell all this, we could get nearly 1.8 million won," Minho said, doing a rough calculation in his head.

Lee Jun nodded, but then replied, "Let's not sell it yet. We'll stockpile it for the goblins. If they stay healthy, we can increase our harvest later."

Minho didn't argue. Instead, he grinned. "I like how you think now. You're not just a hunter anymore—you're practically a village chief."

Lee Jun chuckled. "Don't start."

After that, they helped the goblins plant the next batch. Godon led the way, guiding the others to plow the soil and evenly spread radish seeds. A few goblins tried to eat the seeds or plant them backward, but overall, they worked with impressive enthusiasm.

As the goblins continued working, Lee Jun decided to cook something special using their first harvest. He took some fresh radishes, chopped them up, and brought out other ingredients from a small cold box: beef, garlic, and simple Korean spices. He also unpacked a container filled with warm rice.

"You're seriously cooking in a dungeon?" Minho asked, eyebrows raised.

"Why not? This place is home now."

They built a small campfire, and in a pot over the flames, Lee Jun began making mu-guk—Korean beef radish soup.

"This recipe's from my mom. If I mess it up, she'll scold me in my dreams," Lee Jun joked as he stirred the pot.

Minho laughed. "If it tastes bad, I'll step in before she gets the chance."

Soon, a savory aroma spread throughout the area. The goblins stopped working, their noses twitching as they turned toward the source of the delicious smell.

Lee Jun ladled the soup into wooden bowls he had prepared earlier. One by one, he handed them to the goblins.

"Godon, this one's for you. You're the leader today," Lee Jun said.

Godon accepted the bowl with both hands and gave a firm nod. As he slurped the soup, his eyes widened. He nodded quickly and exclaimed, "Grr... hot… but tasty…!"

The other goblins eagerly followed, digging into their bowls with loud slurping sounds and happy grunts. Minho tried a spoonful and gave a thumbs-up.

"Bro, this is seriously good. We could open a restaurant if farming doesn't work out."

Lee Jun smiled, sitting on a flat rock, scooping rice into his bowl of warm soup.

In that moment of quiet comfort—surrounded by goblins, with the barrier fog still thick in the distance—Goblin's Grove, for the first time, truly felt like home.
