Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Fields of Hope

The past three days had felt like a dream for Lee Jun.

He and the goblins had worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk. From chopping small trees, pulling roots, to tilling the soil using hoes he purchased from outside the dungeon — every step was a labor of determination. Now, the entire 450-square-meter field had been cleared, plowed, and planted with radish seeds.

"Just radishes for now… one crop, one focus," Lee Jun muttered, patting Godon's shoulder, his first and most loyal goblin.

A Ready Field

Godon and the other ten goblins busily inspected the watering routes. Clay buckets and makeshift hoses made from monster hide were used for irrigation. Though crude, their teamwork made everything efficient.

Thanks to the goblins' tireless efforts, the entire land was ready in just three days. The radish seeds were planted in neat rows, covered with rich, plowed soil, and prepared for daily care.

No More Leaving

Lee Jun had previously considered returning as a porter or hunting in public dungeons to make money, maybe even seek out rare mana crystals. But now, watching his goblins work with such heart, and seeing real progress with the land, he changed his mind.

"I don't need to chase monsters to survive. I just need to make this land grow."

There was peace here — no screams, no monsters lurking behind corners. Just loyal goblins and the quiet hope of growth.

A Simple Plan

For now, Lee Jun decided not to plant any other crops. Radishes only.

Why?

They grow fast.

They're easy to maintain.

He can eat them or sell them when the time comes.

Godon was officially assigned as the field overseer. The goblins were divided into roles — watering, guarding, removing weeds, and more.

As for food, Lee Jun had brought several sacks of cheap bread from the outside world. The goblins happily accepted even the blandest pieces, treating them like a feast.

He still had worries, but for now… this farm was his new path forward.
