Lee Jun handed the strange, pale root to Kang Minho without much thought. To him, it was just another odd-looking plant his goblins had dug up in the far western part of the grove.
Minho squinted, turning the root in his hand carefully. A few seconds passed before his eyes widened in recognition.
"Jun… do you even know what this is?"
Jun shook his head."A goblin found it during a scouting trip. I tried planting it back in the field the next day, but it withered by morning."
Minho let out a long breath."This is Veilroot. It's one of the core ingredients used in crafting mid-grade healing potions. Its value ranges from hundreds of thousands to even millions of won per root—depending on its purity and age."
Jun's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're serious?"
Minho nodded firmly."And more importantly… it cannot be cultivated. Veilroot only grows in dungeon environments that are rich in death-type mana. In the outside world, people fight over scraps of this thing. And you've got a fresh, intact one."
Jun's heart began to race. Something he thought was worthless… was actually a rare and expensive alchemy material.
"If I can find more…" he muttered under his breath.
"You can sell them," Minho continued, "or eventually get a skilled alchemist to craft potions for you. But trust me, that's not easy—most of the good ones are tied to major guilds."
Jun clenched his fists. "For now... I'll gather as many as I can."
Minho grinned and slapped his shoulder."That's a smart move. You don't realize it yet, Jun, but this place… your dungeon… it's a goldmine."
That day, Jun made a decision.
He would send out his scouting goblins to comb through every inch of Goblin's Grove, searching for more Veilroot.Even if he couldn't process it himself yet, he knew one thing for certain:
The day he could…He would already be rich.
