Chapter 90 - Chapter 86

The battlefield trembled ceaselessly. Mountains cracked and forests were flattened as Indra and Asura clashed, their powers colliding like two storms tearing at the fabric of the world itself. For more than four hours, they fought without pause, their Susanoo blades and Truth-Seeking Orbs leaving scars in the land that would never heal.

From a distance, Naruto watched silently, his breath steadying as he used every spare moment to recover his stamina. He had been waiting—watching their rhythms, their rises and falls, waiting for that one small window when gods would show weakness.

He had no illusions. In a direct fight, he wouldn't last even a heartbeat against them. But he hadn't stayed here for the thrill of watching legends fight. He had stayed for something more valuable—their bloodline.

The genetic essence of Hagoromo's sons. Indra, ancestor of the Uchiha. Asura, progenitor of the Senju and Uzumaki. Power that would shape the shinobi world for a thousand years. If he could secure even the smallest fragment, then perhaps—just perhaps—he could break through the very limits of fate itself.

Clash of Ideals

"Asura, stop your pointless rambling!" Indra roared, eyes blazing with crimson tomoe. His complete-body Susanoo towered above, its sword raised like a divine judgment. "I won't allow your weakness to taint Father's legacy. Only power can bring peace!"

On the ground below, Asura's face was tense, sweat streaking through dust and blood. Six Truth-Seeking Orbs spun protectively at his back, their dark halos humming with power. "Brother, listen to yourself! This endless fighting solves nothing. Father entrusted us with guiding the people, not destroying them. Love—understanding—those are what will shape the world!"

"Love? Understanding?" Indra sneered, voice echoing through his Susanoo's helm. "Naïve words from a naïve fool. Without strength, peace is an illusion."

The two surged together again, their clash ripping a valley into existence where none had been before.

Naruto grimaced. Same old story. One believes in love, the other in power. Neither is willing to bend. They think the world rests on their shoulders alone. Tch… both of them sound like children arguing about toys.

He folded his arms, letting his senses stretch. Sage Mode kept his perception sharp even as fatigue gnawed at his limbs. His body still bore the ache of his earlier fight with Indra, but time was running short. If he wanted to act, it had to be now.

The Moment Arrives

Hours of relentless combat had begun to take their toll. Even demigods couldn't fight forever. Indra's movements grew sharper but slower, his Susanoo's glow flickering with strain. Asura's breath grew heavier, the pace of his counterattacks faltering as sweat soaked through his robes.

Naruto's eyes narrowed. That's it. They're tired. Careless. And they still don't take me seriously.

He flicked a shuriken into his hand, etched with the Flying Thunder God seal. With a smooth motion, he hurled it across the battlefield.

The blade sang through the air, drawing both brothers' attention.

Indra's brows furrowed. "You dare interfere in our battle?" His eyes locked onto Naruto, Sharingan spinning furiously. "I should have crushed you when I had the chance."

Asura's gaze shifted too, finally acknowledging him for the first time. "So you're the one whose chakra feels… familiar. Almost like mine."

"About time you noticed," Naruto muttered. His lips curled into a grin. "Let's see how good your reflexes really are."

He vanished.

The First Strike

In an instant, he reappeared right before Asura, Rasengan blooming in his palm.

Asura flinched, Truth-Seeking Orbs instantly moving to shield him. But Naruto's Senjutsu chakra allowed him to make contact, the Rasengan grinding against the black orbs with shrieking force. Sparks flew, pressure building—then Naruto flickered away again, leaving only a fading afterimage.

Asura's eyes widened. "What—!?"

A heartbeat later, Naruto reappeared inside Indra's Susanoo, behind the ancestor of the Uchiha himself. His blade traced a line across Indra's arm, slicing flesh before the elder could react.

Blood spattered the ground.

Indra roared, pain and fury igniting his chakra in a storm. His Sharingan's tomoe spun wildly, the pressure of his killing intent suffocating. "You insolent worm!"

Naruto's mind wavered as the pupil power tried to drag his consciousness under. His vision swam, thoughts blurring—until he bit down, forcing Senjutsu chakra to stabilize his spirit. The moment clarity returned, he was gone again, reappearing at the edge of the battlefield with a mocking grin.

One bottle already tucked away, holding Indra's bloodied flesh.

The Second Strike

Asura's guard was raised now, but Naruto wasn't done. Another shuriken whistled through the air, and in a puff of smoke—

"Transformation Jutsu! Sexy Harem Technique!!"

A cloud of illusory figures erupted, sultry and unreal. For a split second, both Indra and Asura froze—caught off-guard not by power, but by sheer absurdity.

Naruto didn't waste it. He flickered again, blade scraping across Asura's side, carving a sliver of flesh before vanishing into nothingness.

When the haze cleared, Asura staggered back, hand over the shallow wound. Already, his body's vitality closed it, the immortal bloodline knitting flesh almost instantly. But the damage had been done.

And Naruto was gone, retreating beyond their senses.

Indra and Asura's Rage

"Brother," Asura said, still staring at the fading smoke. His voice trembled not from fear, but disbelief. "What… what kind of technique was that?" His cheeks flushed despite himself.

Indra's scowl darkened. "A vulgar trick. But behind it… speed and cunning I've not seen before. That boy—he hides too many secrets."

They looked across the battlefield, but Naruto had vanished completely. No chakra trail, no trace. Just silence where he had been.

The brothers' battle ceased, the tension between them broken. Neither could focus now, not after being humiliated by an outsider they had dismissed as insignificant.

Loulan — The Aftermath

Far away, in the shattered ruins of ancient Loulan, Naruto dropped to the ground, chest heaving as sweat poured down his face. In his hands, two small vials gleamed—one holding Indra's blood, the other Asura's.

He laughed breathlessly. "Heh… got 'em. Damn, that was close."

Carefully, he sealed the samples away. "Orochimaru's gonna love this. Indra and Asura's cells… this is the kind of jackpot people dream about."

The ache in his body screamed louder now, but relief drowned it out. He had succeeded where logic said he never could. Luck, cunning, and the Flying Thunder God had carried him through.

But he couldn't linger. Not here.

Indra and Asura might already be hunting for him. And if Hagoromo himself learned of this… Naruto didn't want to imagine being dragged before the Sage for judgment.

So he turned back toward the Dragon Vein.

Return Through the Vein

The seal flared on his stomach as he drew the ancient chakra into himself once more. The energy surged, violent and untamed, light swelling until it blinded.

Naruto's body stiffened as the Dragon Vein wrapped around him, dragging him through time itself. Consciousness blurred, reality dissolving into light—

Then silence.

When his eyes opened, he was back in the ruins of Loulan as he had first seen them, time restored.

Naruto fell to his knees, gasping, then let out a shaky laugh. "Made it back. Still alive."

The power of the Dragon Vein hummed within his Eight Trigrams Seal, vast and overwhelming. It was almost as much chakra as Kurama himself.

And yet…

A voice echoed across the ruins. "Who dares steal the Dragon Vein's chakra?!"

Naruto's head snapped up. A figure strode forward, eyes blazing with fury.

"An Lushan…" Naruto muttered, recognizing the man at once. Or rather, the name he would one day be known by—Baizu.

The true puppeteer of Loulan.

Naruto rose to his feet, fists tightening as he prepared for yet another battle.
