Bibi Dong led Gu Han to a quiet sky garden behind the Martial Soul Hall. The scenery was beautiful, the air fragrant with flowers, and the open space was filled with facilities for children to play.
"Brother, this is where I usually practice alone. You can teach me here," Bibi Dong said, releasing Gu Han's hand, her face alight with excitement.
Although she was born with full soul power and possessed twin martial souls—an extraordinary talent—Bibi Dong, after all, was still a young girl. She didn't like her two spider-like martial souls. In fact, she disliked them so much that she often avoided using them. But self-created soul skills were different. Even beast-type martial souls didn't require full possession to use them.
Gu Han smiled at the eager girl. "Sister, don't worry. I've got two sets of techniques—one is a fierce boxing style, and the other is grappling. Which one do you want to learn?"
"Hmph, I'm not a child—I want to learn both!"
Gu Han was momentarily stunned, then chuckled. "All right, we'll start with the grappling techniques."
"Okay, let's begin!" Bibi Dong nodded eagerly.
"Senior sister, watch closely."
Gu Han began to demonstrate. Though it was a set of grappling moves, it resembled an intricate palm technique—fluid and elegant. The techniques were complex yet graceful, elusive and flowing, like plucking flowers from a branch. His agile footwork added to the unpredictability, making it impossible to anticipate his next move.
As he moved, Gu Han explained the soul power circulation and key movements.
Bibi Dong was mesmerized. By the time Gu Han stopped, she hadn't even realized how lost in the demonstration she had been.
"Well, senior sister, what do you think? Do you like it?"
"Uhh… Brother, you were so fast, I didn't understand anything."
She looked dazed. The moves were beautiful and powerful, but far too complicated.
Gu Han smiled. "That's okay. I'll teach you step by step."
"Okay!" Bibi Dong nodded. Then, curiously, she asked, "Brother, how do you come up with such amazing moves?"
"I created them during my free time and refined them in the mimic training grounds. They're not perfect, but they're getting better."
"Wow… you're awesome!"
Bibi Dong gave him a big thumbs-up.
"All right. Let's go over each move together. I'll guide your soul power too."
Bibi Dong proved to be talented and serious. It was clear she disliked her martial soul, and this made her focus even harder.
"Your leg should be lifted a bit higher here."
Gu Han gently adjusted Bibi Dong's posture. There was unavoidable physical contact during the training. At first, she blushed, but soon realized Gu Han was respectful and serious, and her impression of him improved even more.
Two and a half hours flew by. Bibi Dong successfully learned the first grappling form, and only needed practice to perfect it.
"Let's stop here for today. Next time, we'll move on to the second and third techniques."
"Okay."
Though she loved the elegant and powerful grappling set, she was tired.
They sat on a nearby bench, sipping water. Suddenly, Bibi Dong jumped up.
"Wait for me, brother!"
"Sure."
She dashed back to her residence, which was just nearby. This area was also the back garden of the Saint's Temple where she practiced and played.
In her room, she opened a drawer and pulled out a small brochure.
"Found it!"
After confirming the contents, she hurried back and handed the booklet to Gu Han.
"Here, brother. This is for you."
"What's this?"
Gu Han opened the first page.
"This is the Martial Soul Hall's top-tier meditation manual. My teacher gave it to me. You taught me self-created soul skills, so I can't let you do it for nothing."
Bibi Dong turned her head, arms crossed. Her slightly flushed cheeks made her look adorable.
Gu Han chuckled, patting her head. "Thank you, senior sister. I'll treasure it."
Bibi Dong blinked, then turned red, facing Gu Han's bright smile and handsome face. She quickly masked her reaction with a stern look.
"Hey! Don't just pat your senior sister's head! That's disrespectful."
"Sorry, sorry. You're just too cute. I couldn't help it."
Gu Han's grin widened.
Bibi Dong puffed her cheeks. "Hmph! If you do it again, I'll tell the teacher you're bullying me!"
"Yes, yes, I won't dare anymore."
Gu Han playfully bowed his head.
Bibi Dong pouted, but didn't push further.
Just then, a slightly teasing voice rang out from above:
"Oh? So you're the new student under the Pope's guidance. Not bad-looking."
"Who?!"
Startled, Gu Han and Bibi Dong looked up. Sitting on the edge of the Saint's Temple roof was a boy in elegant clothes, legs swinging in the air.
"Elder Guangling, why are you here?"
Bibi Dong recognized him immediately. So did Gu Han. It made sense why they hadn't sensed his presence—after all, this was a Title Douluo.
"Please, correct yourself. It's now 'Offering of Lightfeather'," the boy corrected with a smirk.
He jumped down gracefully, landing beside them.
Despite his high cultivation—soul power at level 96—he looked and acted more like a mischievous child. He stood only slightly taller than Bibi Dong, perhaps 160 cm.
It was rare, considering most soul masters grew tall and powerful due to their martial soul-enhanced physiques. Guangling was clearly an exception.
