Larissa's POV
The guards set up the green grass with a plain white sheet and several pastries and treats.
I didn't notice they had this many pastries on them when we left the palace.
I settled opposite the Alpha while Joanna and Peter sat very far away from us but close enough to hear us call if we needed anything.
"When I woke up, you were already gone. I needed to check the wound.."
"I wanted to put this together. And I didn't want to wake you up."
"You didn't have to. You have enough on your plate already."
"Take this as a thank you for saving my life."
He knew if he said that, I wouldn't object to that anymore. What about the council? Who is handling the matters there?
I wanted to ask, but at the same time, I didn't want to ruin the moment for both of us.
"It feels nice to be out here. I should do this more often" he said.
"Is there a reason you can't?"
The question flew right out of my mouth before I could even think about it!
