Astrid's POV

The car driven by Aiden, came to a halt on a patch of weedy gravel.

 Looking ahead the dust stood in the cabin.

"Aiden, was this really the place you picked?" Roshan said unimpressed as they all stepped out and he helped me out of the car as well.

 Roshan probably had a higher standard of cabins for me; it seemed wood-sided, and cautiously littered with moss.

The woods also became utterly silent here.

All in all, it was beautiful.

"I think I like it," I said with a beaming smile. 

 There were lovely pines that sieved the afternoon sun into long shadows. 

Honestly, maybe it was just part of the relief of getting out of the car. In the passenger seat, the seatbelt dragged tight across the large swell of my eight-month pregnancy. 

"It took a while but I'm so glad , here we are," I said, throwing my hands in the air as I tried to sound excited but ended up sounding more exhausted.
