Chapter 152 - Chapter 152: Susanoo

With sufficient personnel from the Organization available, the transport mission could proceed. Any ninja caught alone on the battlefield, regardless of village affiliation, would not be spared.

After a brief discussion, the three quickly reached an agreement and rushed off to different battlefronts across the field.

Meanwhile, under Shisui's guidance, [Lightning Release: Shadow Clone] successfully located Yugao. However, her condition was dire—multiple wounds covered her body, her face was deathly pale, and she hovered near death. Fortunately, Anya's Shadow Clone had arrived in time with Tsunade, barely managing to save her life.

After rescuing Yugao, Tsunade noticed that Anya's Shadow Clone still remained. She finally exhaled in relief—this meant Anya had successfully intercepted the Tsuchikage and still had plenty of chakra left, no immediate danger.

Tsunade instructed Anya's Shadow Clone: "Return to your main body with the Puppet—don't push your luck."

"Okay."

Anya agreed and flew toward her original body with the Puppet.

After reuniting, Anya put the Puppet away but began growing increasingly anxious. She still hadn't found Haku. Something must've happened—no, impossible.

It was the first time Sasori had seen such unease in Anya. He couldn't help but ask, "What happened?"

"Yes," Anya replied heavily. "One of my squad members has gone missing. I still haven't located her."

Kakuzu seemed to recall something and said, "Do you mean that girl with the Ice Release kekkei genkai who used to follow you a few years ago?"

Anya's eyes lit up. She quickly asked, "That's her! Uncle, do you know where she is?"

Kakuzu nodded. "She was pursued by Iwagakure ninjas after escaping, and then marked for capture by the Mist Anbu. I roughly remember the direction she fled in."

Upon hearing this, Anya became frantic. "Uncle, use your wind-style secret technique to give me a ride. She's extremely important to me."

Kakuzu looked at Anya deeply for a moment before summoning his black wind beast.

After thanking him, Anya immediately climbed on and set off.

Sasori sensed something and asked Kakuzu, "It seems like you aren't entirely eager for Big Brother Kurotsuchi to find this person."

Kakuzu didn't deny it. "Since your Big Brother Kurotsuchi has built such an organization, his ambitions must be great. Someone so important to him is precisely the kind of vulnerability that could be exploited. In that case, the fewer such people there are, the better."

Sasori held a different view. "We're all very lonely people. I know what loneliness feels like. I don't want Big Brother Kurotsuchi to end up like us. Since such a person exists by his side, I'll help protect them. Anyone who dares to touch Big Brother Kurotsuchi's weakness—I'll turn them into a Puppet."

Hearing this, Kakuzu didn't speak further. Truthfully, without realizing it, he'd also started caring about Anya. Otherwise, he wouldn't have spoken at all.

With Kakuzu's wind beast providing support, Anya flew low at incredible speed. Combined with [Division Technique], her search range expanded endlessly.

Finally, Anya discovered signs of battle resembling attacks from an Ice Release user. After stopping to examine the area with her Sharingan, Anya became certain—Haku had fought here. Good, she was heading in the right direction.

Since the Division Technique couldn't locate anyone, there was no doubt she was trapped within a battlefield barrier. Anya drew her Ninja Blade without hesitation and began destroying the surrounding barrier.

Nearby scattered ninja who noticed Anya's movements rushed out to question or attack her.

Annoyed beyond tolerance, Anya's killing intent surged. Sword Light flashed, blood splattered, and wave after wave of ninja were mercilessly sent to their deaths.

After breaking through another barrier, she faced thick fog so dense that visibility was reduced to nothing. Recognizing it immediately, Anya was startled—it was Kiri's signature ninjutsu, the Hiding in Mist Technique. Could it be…?

Without time to ponder, her soul projection shot forth first from the Division Technique, spreading countless soul energies through the mist and filling the entire barrier. Sure enough, there was Haku.

A group of Mist Anbu relentlessly launched continuous attacks against Haku. His Anbu mask had already shattered, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth. Only through rapid shifts between ice mirrors was he barely able to evade strikes. As the Mist Anbu intensified their assault, the crystal ice mirrors kept shattering—his life hanging by a thread.

Fury surged in Anya's heart. At that moment, her Mangekyo Sharingan activated automatically. Endless black chakra rose from her body. A gigantic black Susanoo rapidly took shape—an immense skeletal frame covered with solid armor, its nostrils exhaling scorching breath like an erupting volcano, eyes like a setting sun radiating terrifying red light, two colossal wings extending from its back as if descending heavenly deities.

This was the first appearance of Anya's black Susanoo. With chakra continuously injected into it, the massive figure generated a long, straight single-edged sword in its hand. Looking closer, divine patterns adorned the blade surface; someone knowledgeable would instantly recognize it as a mythological weapon—the Tsurugi no Mitama no Futsu, revered as the sword capable of slaying gods.

The instant it appeared, brilliant swordlight illuminated everything, dissipating all surrounding mists. With just a flap of its wings, Anya reached the battlefield center like a phantom before the Mist Anbu could even react.

A deadly blade aura filled with murder intent became the last thing they saw in this world.

Under Anya's control, Susanoo's powerful strike reduced every ninja on site to nothingness, as though they'd never existed.

Haku, who had held on for so long, gazed at Anya inside Susanoo with joyful eyes. He opened his mouth as if wanting to say something, but finally spat out a mouthful of blood, tumbling down from the mirror toward the ground.

Anya caught falling Haku midair with her Susanoo, immediately releasing Susanoo and activating Medical Ninjutsu to begin healing.

Just upon touching Haku's body, Anya realized how severely exhausted he truly was—pushed right to death's edge.

"How could this happen?" She murmured hollowly, feeling as if some piece of her heart was missing, a pain so sharp it left her breathless.

Haku raised his arm, trying to gently touch Anya's face one last time. But his hand stopped mid-air when she tightly seized it.

"I won't let you die. Absolutely not." Determination hardened deep within Anya's heart, her Mangekyo Sharingan activating once again.

[Dojutsu Reversal] initiated.

As a streak of blood trickled from the corner of his eye, Haku's body gradually transformed. His previously lifeless form regained a bit of color. As time seemed to rewind, that final spark of life finally returned to his body.

Thank goodness.

Anya suppressed the dizziness in his mind and poured wild chakra into Medical Ninjutsu. As Haku's heartbeat grew stronger, Anya felt relieved and finally lost consciousness.

After consecutive battles, activating the Second Stage Susano'o, and using the Dojutsu of both eyes, Anya had long reached his limit.

Haku, now revived, understood exactly what had happened. He tightly embraced Anya with both arms, as if holding the entire world within his grasp…
