Chapter 519 - Chapter 519: On the Eve of Departure

Mabui sighed, "Ah, it's finally over. Never would I have imagined that out of everyone, *I* would end up the most exhausted just because *you* married Samiu. Tonight alone, I lost count of how many people were too drunk to stand."

Anya stood beside her. Under the lamplight, her eyes shimmered with tenderness. "Can't help being my secretary, can you? I won't forget what you once promised me. For this lifetime, you're still my secretary."

Mabui complained, "I know, but you don't take me with you everywhere you go."

Anya smiled and said, "Every bond and every path must one day reach its end. Tonight will be my last night in Kumogakure. I came to see you simply to let you know what I truly feel in my heart—You'll always have a place in the Sky Fortress, and as for me, no matter how long I'm away, I *will* come back."

After those words, Mabui remained silent for quite some time.

Looking at her, he saw a tear trail down her cheek. He gently brushed it away and smiled. "Why are you crying?"

"Just like you did before—something got in my eye."

"Let me blow it away for you."

Anya leaned close and softly blew into her eyes, but couldn't help himself—he kissed her, starting from her eyes, trailing down to her lips.

This time, Mabui responded passionately, even wrapping her arms around him tightly, reluctant to let go.

Yet, all good things must come to an end. Their lips parted.

Anya said bitterly, "The world no longer has room for me. But this place will always be my haven. There are too many guests at the wedding banquet; you don't need to worry about them. I've prepared enough wine to last them seven days and seven nights."

"Yes," Mabui replied, "everyone must part ways eventually. Even if this wedding feast lasts long, it will still end in seven days. Since you've already made your final decision… I will wait for your return. Now, I'm tired. I'm going home to sleep. May everyone sleep peacefully tonight."

Then, Mabui resolutely turned and left.

A similar farewell occurred in Kiri.

Terumi Mei asked, "How long will you be gone this time?"

"I don't know," Anya replied. Seeing the sadness in her eyes, he quickly added, "But definitely no more than five years—maybe even less than one. The Otsutsuki Clan remains a threat to this world, and now only I have the power to uncover the truth about their lineage."

Terumi Mei fell silent. "I understand… it's just… I'm too weak to help you."

"In the future, you'll have a divine role in the Sky Fortress. How about the Water Goddess? There, you can cultivate through the God Tree and combine it with the Sage Mode I gave you. Perhaps in five years, you'll surpass me. Then we can fight side by side."

Anya's words lit up Mei's eyes with excitement.

Thinking of how she had seen Hakuto before, Mei's heart stirred.

"At least leave me with something to remember you by while you're away. After all, you already have a daughter of your own."

Of course, Anya couldn't refuse the beauty's request. He scooped her up in his arms—her delicate body as soft as silk—and said, "Well then, you won't be getting much sleep tonight."

Mei blushed and gave a little humph. "Like I'm afraid of you."

Konoha had been completely transformed under Yamato's construction. Not only had the village expanded, but the roads had also become much wider. This time, every intersection even featured traffic lights—an innovation Anya had conceived after witnessing an accident involving Temari and Kankuro. Yet something still felt missing.

Yamato's chakra had naturally been drained by the God Tree. Upon hearing this, he laughed heartily, without the slightest hint of sadness. Anya had originally intended to return the chakra, but seeing Yamato's cheerful expression, he abandoned the idea—after all, they now possessed genuine Wood Release.

At this moment, Kakashi, who had recently returned to Konoha, stood facing three great figures: his father, White Fang; his teacher, Minato; and his senior comrade, Anya.

All three had arrived with the same single purpose—to get him married as soon as possible.

Kakashi had figured he'd wait until Rin Nohara got more comfortable around here, hoping their bond would naturally lead to marriage. Unfortunately, the sharp, piercing gazes of the three made him feel deeply uneasy.

Eventually, it was a single sentence from Anya that pushed him to make his final decision.

"Kakashi, don't tell me you've been reading Make Out Paradise every day and now you can't perform."

No guy could stand hearing that. With the three egging him on, Kakashi picked up a bouquet of flowers and proposed to Rin Nohara directly. The result was satisfying—Rin Nohara accepted the flowers joyfully and said yes.

Word even got out that the couple had already picked a name for their first child, planning to name him Obito in memory of their mutual dear friend.

After resolving this important matter weighing on his heart, White Fang took Anya to the forest where they had first met.

"Master," Anya asked, "are you really not planning to reclaim your chakra? It would be very easy for me."

White Fang shook his head, speaking in a relaxed tone. "Actually, since my rebirth, I've always felt lost, unsure of what to do. But after losing all my chakra, I actually felt relieved. As for my future path, I've already decided—I'm going to open a sword school and become a teacher, specifically training children in sword techniques."

Anya smiled. "Then does that mean I'll have many junior brothers and sisters in the future?"

"Exactly. Whenever you have time, come by and give them some guidance as their senior."

"Of course."

"I heard you recommended someone to the Second, hoping he will become the next world heir. What relationship do you have with that person?"

"Uhh, he's an Artificial Person born from my bloodline. I feel quite conflicted about his existence, so I promised him this."

"I see." White Fang did not press further, changing the tone to one of concern. "Soon, you will leave. How confident are you against the Otsutsuki Clan?"

Anya replied confidently. "I have no problem walking away unscathed."

"Hmm, that's the correct mindset. After all, they are an unknown existence—we must be cautious."

After a few more words, Anya returned to his clan. Kurenai Yuhi, who had been eagerly waiting, rushed forward excitedly, and the two embraced tightly. Behind them, the innocent Bai and Rainbow also joined in the celebration.

Smiling beside them, Mikoto and Haku watched this warm scene unfold.

At Minato's house, Naruto woke up filled with Yang energy. Seeing Kushina watching him with concern, a warmth spread through his chest. Then he suddenly remembered something and quickly asked, "How is everyone else? Do they still have chakra?"

Minato walked over and said, "Don't worry, Naruto. Everyone is fine. As for chakra, it's been reclaimed."

Naruto suddenly looked devastated, murmuring to himself, "Anya actually went through with it!"

Bang!

At that moment, the door was pushed open. Almost all of the twelve young warriors were there, except for Neji. Even Sasuke was standing there with them.

"You guys?"

Sakura stepped forward and said, "Naruto, come on, quickly. Tsunade-sama is assigning jobs to everyone based on their contributions in the Fourth Great Ninja War. A new era of peace has begun. The war is over, and all countries have united to form a new Global Alliance, abolishing the ninja system entirely. Isn't that amazing?"

Seeing his friends' faces without any trace of sadness, Naruto finally got the deeper meaning of what Anya had done. If ninjas no longer existed, what was the point of the Ninja Way he'd always believed in?
