Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Extraction Time Two Years??

Falkor inhaled sharply—then exhaled with all its might.

In an instant, thunder roared across the sea.

The waters before them turned into a pool of lightning, terrifying blue bolts raging wildly within.

The thunderpool crackled with deafening booms, the collision of electricity and magnetism echoing like the heavens splitting apart.

It lasted for dozens of seconds before slowly fading.

Even then, the air still carried a tingling numbness, the ground beneath their feet buzzing with static.

The once calm sea was now a scorched purgatory, countless fish and even nearby Sea Kings floating lifelessly on the surface, charred and cooked through.

The whale-like Sea King that had taken the full brunt was the most miserable of all, its colossal body drifting lifelessly, skin scorched black, filling the air with the stench of roasted flesh.

"Puu!"

Falkor puffed proudly, shrinking back to its small form.

Creed swallowed hard, staring at the little dragon perched before him.

This… this was still Falkor?

How could something he thought of as a pet suddenly unleash such terrifying destruction?

Without hesitation, he pulled up Falkor's system panel.

[Abilities]: SS-level Lightning Control (Extractable)…

[Talents]: Breath (Extractable), Dragon God Mode (Extractable)

[Overall Strength]: S+

Creed: "…"

Someone explain what the hell was going on.

He remembered clearly—when Falkor first hatched atop the Goro Goro no Mi, it only had a C-level lightning talent, its overall strength also C-level.

Now, just a single month later, it had skyrocketed to SS-level in lightning, overall strength S+.

Even Ain, who rushed out from the cabin after hearing the chaos, froze at the sight of the sea littered with dead fish.

"What happened?" she gasped.

"Nothing. Falkor just got carried away," Creed muttered, though his eyes stayed fixed on the little dragon.

He had thought it was just a bronze-tier mascot, a lucky charm at best.

Who knew it was actually a hidden king?

But how had its power grown so fast? Some kind of awakening?

Two months… and it had jumped from C to S+.

This thing's origin was anything but ordinary. Creed couldn't recall anything like it in the original story.

"That attack just now… was it Dragon Breath?" Creed asked.

"Ying," Falkor nodded.

"And this 'Dragon God Mode'… does it really exist?"

"Ying," it nodded again.

Curious, Creed pressed further. "Can you show me this Dragon God Mode?"

"Ying ying ying."

It shook its head firmly.

Creed had spent enough time with Falkor to understand its meaning.

"You're saying Dragon God Mode can't be used lightly… it hurts you too much?"

"Ying."

"Then forget it."

He exhaled, letting it go for now. But that didn't stop him from using the system himself.

Lightning Control was already SS-level—he could extract it now. And Dragon God Mode was also marked as extractable.

Creed activated extraction.

Extraction time for Lightning Control: one day.

Extraction time for Dragon God Mode: two years.

Creed: "…"

What kind of absurd talent took two years to extract?!

Just what was this Dragon God Mode?

If the system demanded that much time, it had to be unimaginably powerful.

Two years? So what?

He chose to proceed. Whatever it was, it would be worth it.

Days passed.

In that time, Creed encountered several groups of reckless pirates.

But he didn't even need to lift a hand—Falkor wiped them all out single-handedly.

The loot brought in tens of millions of Berries, padding their wealth nicely.

"Up ahead—that's Enies Lobby," Ain said, spotting the island in the distance.

After over a month of travel, they had finally arrived.

Their ship docked at the port, where a welcoming party was already waiting—no doubt arranged by Momousagi.

"Welcome to Enies Lobby, Rear Admiral Creed," the leader greeted warmly. He had purple hair and introduced himself: "I am Spandam, chief of Enies Lobby."

"We've already prepared a new battleship for you at the Gates of Justice."

Creed's vessel had endured a month of battles, its hull battered and worn. And as a pirate ship, it couldn't pass the Gates of Justice anyway. Only Marine warships had that authority.

Spandam led the way, but then suddenly stopped, turning to look at Creed—the youngest rear admiral in Marine history.

"Rear Admiral Creed," he said, "I have a small request. My CP9 subordinates… they wish to test your strength. Would you grant them this opportunity?"
