Nail swung with all his might, his knife-hand chopping straight into Frieza's neck. Who would've thought Frieza wouldn't even dodge? He just tilted his head and took it head-on—without the slightest pain. It was like a breeze had brushed past him. If you weren't watching with your eyes, you wouldn't even know someone had hit you.
Nail hadn't expected this at all. Cold sweat immediately poured down his back.
This was the gap in battle power.
"This won't do at all."
Frieza mocked him. "I even stuck my neck out specially for you to hit. And that's all the strength you've got? What a disappointment. But then again, with only forty thousand battle power, I guess I shouldn't expect too much. While you're still alive, you'd better confess obediently."
As he spoke, he grabbed Nail's arm and gave it a light twist. Like snapping a piece of straw, he broke Nail's forearm with a crack. Purple blood splattered across the ground. Nail dropped to his knees from the searing pain, a horrifying scream tearing out of his throat.
Frieza didn't take the chance to finish him. He waited for him to speak.
Nail struggled back to his feet. With a furious roar, the severed area of his arm began to regenerate—another forearm growing back. That was a Namekian's ability: if their body was cut, they could regenerate like a lizard.
Frieza activated his scouter again, wearing a teasing smile. "That really is surprising. But even with an extra hand, it's still useless. Your stamina can't regenerate the way your arm can. Your battle power has clearly dropped. When the difference is this huge, you still want to fight to the bitter end? What are you people on this planet even thinking? It's truly hard to understand."
Meanwhile, Goku clutched the wound in his chest and flew toward the spaceship with difficulty. He'd been too careless. He hadn't expected Ginyu to use a move like that. Now he could only pray that Gohan was safe.
Creed hadn't expected this either. When he saw Goku raise his ki to the limit, he thought victory was guaranteed—so he flew toward the Grand Elder's residence. If Frieza really killed the Grand Elder, then this entire trip would basically have been for nothing.
At this moment, Vegeta had already arrived near the spaceship before Gohan. Hovering in midair, he observed the area below. There were only a few low-level soldiers by the ship, and they were even dozing off. Within a hundred meters, there wasn't a single powerful aura.
Looks like Frieza really wasn't here.
Vegeta released red lasers, sending the guards outside the spaceship straight to hell. Then he rushed inside and ran into the security squad that came out after hearing the noise. They had numbers, but they were still just weak low-level soldiers. When they saw Vegeta, they were so terrified they couldn't even move.
Vegeta ignored them. Every time he stepped forward, they stepped back. One slightly braver soldier tried to sneak-attack from behind. The instant he charged in, Vegeta smashed his skull. After that, the others didn't even dare follow anymore—they could only watch from far away.
Vegeta entered the control room and searched around, but he still didn't find the Dragon Balls. Turning back, he shouted, "Hey, you lot—where did you hide the seven Dragon Balls!?"
They were afraid of Vegeta—but even more afraid Frieza might return at any moment. They looked at each other, and no one spoke.
Vegeta snorted, muttering, "A bunch of useless trash. All of you putting on loyal-dog faces. If you don't want to talk, then don't. Go pledge your loyalty to your Lord Frieza down in the underworld."
As he spoke, he raised his hand. The soldiers scattered, trying to flee—but they were too slow. A shockwave exploded with a boom, blowing both men and walls into fragments. After that display, no one dared stop Vegeta again. He strolled through the spaceship like he was walking around his own backyard.
He was certain that since Frieza had left Ginyu behind to guard them, the Dragon Balls had to be hidden somewhere inside the ship. No matter what, Gohan would use that strange device to locate them. He should be arriving soon.
Ginyu and Jeice were also flying toward the spaceship. After taking Goku's body, Ginyu was so excited he could barely contain himself. He could clearly feel the power of that 180,000 battle power body—and Goku's face was far more handsome and impressive than his own.
When Gohan reached the spaceship, he saw there were no guards left. He immediately jumped down. According to the Dragon Ball Radar, it was easy to find where the Dragon Balls were buried. After digging for a while, he smoothly unearthed all seven Dragon Balls from underground…
What he didn't know was that Vegeta had already been hiding his presence, lurking behind the ship and watching him in secret. He was planning to wait until Gohan summoned Shenlong, then kill him and complete his own wish.
But Vegeta waited and waited—and nothing happened.
It wasn't that Gohan didn't try. They'd come all this way for the seven Dragon Balls, to revive Piccolo and the others. But no matter how many times he shouted, "Come forth, Shenlong!" the sky didn't respond at all.
That only made Vegeta even more confused. Shouldn't something happen? Why was it still so calm? Could Shenlong be something they couldn't see?
Gohan was embarrassed too. He'd gathered all seven Dragon Balls, and he'd said the words—so why wasn't Shenlong appearing?
But he didn't have time to keep thinking.
In the distance, two powerful auras were approaching—both extremely evil. Had his dad been defeated? Was Ginyu coming back?
The auras got closer and closer. With no time to hesitate, Gohan quickly suppressed his battle power and hid behind a nearby slope.
Not long after, something shocking happened.
"Goku" actually returned together with Jeice—and the two of them looked strangely friendly.
Gohan didn't think too much about it. He ran out right away and smiled. "Dad, you scared me for nothing. I thought you got beaten by that Ginyu guy. I didn't expect you to defeat him—and even take him in as a subordinate!"
Jeice covered his mouth, trying not to laugh out loud.
Seeing the Dragon Balls that had been dug up, Ginyu stared at Gohan and asked slowly, "These Dragon Balls… you found them?"
Then he narrowed his eyes. "How did you know where they were buried?"
Gohan was a little puzzled, but he still replied, "What are you talking about, Dad? Of course I used the Dragon Ball Radar."
Ginyu asked, "Then did you make your wish?"
"No," Gohan said. "No matter how I try to summon Shenlong, he won't come out. I don't get it. Could it be the summoning phrase is different from the one on Earth?"
