đ Chapter 4 â The First Mount, The First Woman
The black wolf sprinted across the wasteland, kicking up clouds of dust under its massive paws. On its back, a calm figure stood tall, black robes flowing behind him like a banner of war.
Wei Tian looked ahead, expression flat.
> "You're fast. I'll call you⊠Hai."
The beast beneath him growled once in approval, its red eyes flashing briefly with strange light.
Then it spoke.
Hai (the wolf):
> "Master⊠if you allow it, I will offer my entire clan to serve as your family's mounts. We owe you that much."
Wei Tian raised an eyebrow. His God Eye glowed slightlyâconfirming Hai's intent was genuine.
Wei Tian:
> "Interesting⊠a whole wolf clan at my command."
He smirked.
> "Very well. From today onward, your clan shall serve the future Heavenly Patriarch."
Hai let out a respectful howl that echoed across the sky.

âïž In the DistanceâŠ
A scream echoed.
A girl, dressed in worn robes, ran barefoot across the rocky path, her hair wild and face pale. Behind her, a grey-furred wolf chased closelyâits jaws already dripping with blood from another kill.
Mortal Girl:
> "No⊠no⊠please, not like this!"
She trippedâfellârolled. The wolf lunged.
A black blur crossed the sky.
ShhhhhhâBOOM!
The wolf's body slammed into the ground mid-air, its chest pierced by a clean sword strike.
Dust settled.
Standing between the girl and death, like a lone god in the wastelandâwas Wei Tian.
His blade was still humming.
Wei Tian (coldly):
> "A trash beast dares touch a human before me?"
The wolf twitched once. Then went still.
The girl looked up, breathless.
Her face was plainâaverage beauty, dirt-smudged cheeks, eyes wide in shockâbut in this moment, to Wei Tian, she was real. Alive. Mortal.
Something he never had in his past life.
> "T-thank youâŠ"
Her voice was weak. Honest.
Wei Tian stared down at her.
He didn't speak. Not yet.
Hai stepped beside him, growling lowly at the corpse.
Wei Tian:
> "Who are you? Why are you out here?"
Mortal Girl:
> "M-my name is Liu Mei⊠I was escaping from slavers. They killed my village. I ran for days..."
Wei Tian watched her struggle to stand.
She wasn't a cultivator. She had nothing. Just fear, dirt, and a little stubborn courage left in her bones.
He could ignore her.
He could leave her.
But something inside him whispered:
> "You said you wanted a family⊠start here."
He offered her his hand.
Wei Tian:
> "Follow me. From today on, you belong to me."
Her eyes widened in shock.
Then slowly, she reached out⊠and took his hand.

đș In Wei Tian's Mind
> "A loyal mount. A woman. Not for lust⊠not yet. But to build something greater. A true clan. A future sect. A legacy."
He looked at the sky.
> "Heaven gave me power. Now I'll create something even the gods must respect."
