'A katana?' Kakashi thought stunned as he immediately backed up to create space while reevaluating Yuta again
"It's good that you're getting serious, however, you do remember the aim and that you're running out of time," Kakashi said while touching the place where he kept the bells, only to find out they were no longer there.
Yuta stood there with a traditional katana as he stretched out a hand, and Rika's finger dropped a bell into his palm.
"Did I pass?" Yuta asked.
"Yes, you pass," Kakashi replied as he sheathed the kunai and walked towards Yuta, and looked at the katana.
"Your preference of weapon?" Kakashi asked.
"Yes, it was a gift" Yuta replied.
Kakashi then threw a headband to Yuta.
"Putting on the headband shows you are a Shinobi of this village as well as a genin, however, you will officially be under my care, normally you should have teammates but you'll meet them later on, for now, though you'll be going on low rank missions and you'll call me Kakashi sensei Understand?" Kakashi said
"Yes Kakashi sensei"
"Now, before we continue, I should probably teach you more about how jutsu works and the basics," Kakashi said and promptly began lecturing Yuta.
...
By the end of the week Yuta was seen doing low rank missions in the village like assisting the elderly to find pet animals which was relatively easy and rendering an extra arm to assist people in the village, however he was never seen lagging, on the contrary, it brought out quite the friendliness in him as he looked forward to integrate better and more with the society.
However, not everyone liked this.
It had already been a month since this child had come into this world, and externally things were cool, but internally there was fire lit around.
Starting from the supposed breaches that had happened earlier, and when he came to a sudden halt of the breaches, what followed next was a sudden inflow of leaf missions seeking investigations.
"Apparently a lot of villagers in subsidiary villages have been exhibiting weird behaviors which range from mild symptoms like insomnia to intentional disturbance and pure chaos." A report was read to Tsunade.
"There is no lack of teams to dispatch on these missions," She said.
"Apparently Lady Hokage, there is, the team's report clearing the missions but each time more reports are made, slight altercations, and the symptoms seem to move from person to person, it may be some sort of plague"
"Communicate this to the Aburame clan and get some medic units to assist them," Tsunade said as she focused on reading another work on her table
"They have no idea about the problems?" Shizune said prompting Tsunade to raise her head up.
"What do you mean?" Tsunade asked.
"The best that is being done is to keep the major affected village and villagers in containment and quarantine however that is a short-term method considering they are non-Shinobi affected"
"What results did the investigation bring?"
"They seem to be under some kind of genjutsu."
Tsunade immediately showed a frown, genjutsu specialists were annoying on a wide basis, and what was even more annoying was the lack thereof, so it was difficult to narrow down the persons involved in the conflict.
She didn't rule out the possibility of this being the work of the Akatsuki, but none of them were sighted, nor is this any of their members' motto.
None of the villages hold strategic defense or attack, and were just random unless they're creating an army of non-Shinobi? For what purpose?'
"What Elite teams are available at the moment for dispatch?"
"Team 10 and 3 is the only available team as they just returned from an extermination mission, however, most of them are about to become Jonin"
"Team 10, Asuma team? If we're dealing with a genjutsu specialist, that might not be enough... Tch reinstate team 7, get Sakura to get ready for the briefing, I need them all at my office by tomorrow." Tsunade said and turned away.
Tsunade may have said that but she had something else in mind, and that was why she had decided to keep team 3 in the village.
If things were to go sideways and the problem was internal...
She just hoped he wasn't that stupid.
