Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Wine and Medicine

"That's all we have for now. If it's not enough, I'll bring more next time."

"Okay," Xiao Yingchun agreed after a quick look.

Both parties tacitly agreed not to discuss the price.

Xiao Yingchun wasn't familiar with the market, while Fu Chenan knew how precious wound medicine was during wartime.

In wartime, wound medicine meant lives, and as long as they could get it, the price was worth it.

Initially, Xiao Yingchun wanted to buy bottles of medical alcohol.

But how much medical alcohol should be prepared for an army of 10,000 men?

After asking several pharmacies, the people who asked Xiao Yingchun about it all responded with a strange tone: "What do you need so much alcohol for? You can't do it if you're committing a crime!"

This stuff not only disinfects, but can also ignite fires.

  Xiao Yingchun: "..."

Forget it, what kind of alcohol isn't made of wine?

Xiao Yingchun simply called Uncle Wu, the owner of a nearby winery.

Uncle Wu had been brewing wine in the urban village for over 20 years. Because of its genuine flavor and lack of adulteration, he had a long-standing customer base, and the price was reasonable.

When Xiao Yingchun said she wanted the strongest liquor, he beamed. "This is double-distilled liquor, 60% alcohol. Fifteen yuan per pound. If you want more, I'll charge ten yuan."

Because of its high alcohol content, sales had been slow; it had been sitting there for almost a year.

"Okay, this one," Xiao Yingchun agreed immediately.

Uncle Wu asked how much she wanted, and Xiao Yingchun directly inquired about the quantity.

  Uncle Wu gasped.

Finally, Uncle Wu delivered 300 pounds of double-distilled liquor to Xiao Yingchun's store on a tricycle and took away 3,000 yuan.

After finishing her alcohol bill, Xiao Yingchun went straight to Meituan to buy Yunnan Baiyao hemostatic powder, aerosol spray, and suture-free wound dressings...

Oh, and anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing supplies.

Ibuprofen tablets, 100 tablets per bottle, I'd like to start with 100 bottles.

Penicillin V potassium tablets, the most affordable brand, I'd like to buy 100 boxes.

  Band-Aids, hand sanitizer gel...

After finishing her purchases, Xiao Yingchun took a quick look and saw the total cost was around 50,000 yuan.

  That was it for now.

Just as they finished placing their order on Meituan, another truckload of goods arrived from Uncle Liang.

Seeing the warehouse, previously overflowing with goods, now empty, Uncle Liang was surprised: "Chun, you already handed over the goods?"

Xiao Yingchun nodded cheerfully: "Yes, they paid, and I let them take them away."

Uncle Liang thought for a moment and said bluntly: "We've been friends for ages. Why don't you just let me deliver them? You don't have to go through all the trouble again."

  "Don't worry, I won't say a word I shouldn't."

Uncle Liang's words were a reassurance that he wouldn't sabotage Xiao Yingchun or try to steal her business.

Xiao Yingchun smiled and declined: "Uncle Liang, I trust you. I know you're doing this for my own good and want to save me the trouble."

"But this customer is picky and insists on picking it up in person. Don't worry."

Uncle Liang assumed Xiao Yingchun still didn't trust him, and on second thought, it made sense.

For a small shop, hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales represent annual sales. How could anyone else get involved?

The girl was right to be cautious.

Uncle Liang talked himself into it, unloading the goods, paying the bill, and leaving without a hitch.

Before leaving, Uncle Liang brought up Ge Chunyu's debt again.

"I've spoken to the owners of those wholesale shops, and they said they'll come to you tonight to discuss how to handle this. Why don't you make some preparations in advance?"

This is because he was afraid that the other party would cause trouble if he couldn't get the money.

Xiao Yingchun smiled and nodded: "I understand, Uncle Liang. I will make preparations."

After Uncle Liang left, the medicines purchased by Meituan also arrived, in many boxes of different sizes.

Xiao Yingchun took them one by one and put them in the warehouse.

The front door closed and the back door opened: the Time and Space Supermarket opened again.

When it was getting dark, Fu Chenan stepped into Xiao Yingchun's sales department again.

When Xiao Yingchun saw him, his eyes lit up: "You are here?"

Fu Chenan said "hmm" and strode to the counter.

He had a strong smell of blood on him, and his armor and the hem were stained with dark red blood. His face seemed to have been deliberately wiped clean, but his hair was messy.

Xiao Yingchun's heart skipped a beat: "Is the fight about to start?"

Fu Chenan said "hmm" again, but his eyes began to look around.

Xiao Yingchun hurriedly opened the box of medicine. "This is the medicine I bought for you. It might be different from what you're using..."

Xiao Yingchun picked up a box and handed it to Fu Chenan. "Do you recognize the words here?"

Fu Chenan glanced at it and shook his head.

Xiao Yingchun nodded. "I guessed you didn't. I can't write either, so how about this: I'll read it to you, and you can write something and stick it on the label to take home with you? Is that okay?"

Fu Chenan gave Xiao Yingchun a deep look. "Thank you."

Xiao Yingchun immediately pulled out a large bag of convenience store price stickers and briefly read the instructions and corresponding symptoms.

Fu Chenan grabbed a water-based pen and wrote on it...

At first, he felt uncomfortable holding the pen, but after a while... it smelled amazing!

Fu Chenan wrote quickly, and after writing a single sheet, he stuck it on a plastic bag of the same type, quickly finishing the process.

Xiao Yingchun then pointed to the dozen or so plastic buckets. "Here's the liquor you requested. Would you like to try it?"

Fu Chenan's eyes flickered. "No need."

We're still going to attack the city tonight, and drinking is strictly prohibited.

"Okay, take them all." Xiao Yingchun waved his hand, indicating that he had finished explaining.

Fu Chenan's eyes were deep: "If the effect is good, I will come to you later."

Xiao Yingchun smiled brightly: "No problem. You just need to use it according to the instructions, it will definitely be effective..."

Fifty thousand yuan worth of medicine and liquor were sold for ten gold ingots in a blink of an eye!

At 800,000 yuan per gold ingot, this is 8 million, if you count the previous ones... he got rich overnight!

Fu Chenan quickly transported all the things away with a small trailer, and before leaving, he said that he would come the next day.

After the back door returned to peace, Xiao Yingchun hurried upstairs, stuffed the gold ingots into the safe, and then opened the front door.

Uncle Liang said that someone would come to him tonight to discuss the matter of Ge Chunyu's credit payment.

It was dark, and the heat was still rolling when the door was opened.

Not far away, a tricycle selling watermelons was hawking its wares. Xiao Yingchun called out, "Boss, give me two of the biggest, sweetest watermelons..."

"Little Yingchun, your supermarket is closed every day. What kind of business are you in?"

Grandpa Zhao, an old neighbor, strolled by the door, fanning himself with a palm-leaf fan, and teased Xiao Yingchun with a smile.

Xiao Yingchun quickly called him over: "Grandpa Zhao, come here quickly! I bought two large watermelons. It's just right for you to taste them for me..."

Grandpa Zhao was stopped by, and before he could sit down, a piece of juicy watermelon was thrust into his hand. He couldn't help but smile: "Oh my, little Yingchun is getting more and more sensible..."

Grandpa Zhao sat down, and the neighbors who often chatted with Grandpa Zhao also came over to say hello.

Xiao Yingchun quickly brought out the plastic stools and invited everyone to eat watermelon and chat, but his eyes kept glancing towards the village entrance...
