Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

She crossed her legs and said mockingly, "To tell you the truth, Lillian. At first, I thought you were like a toad trying to eat swan meat, wanting to chase Adrián. And seeing that the two brothers treated you a bit specially, I was afraid you might succeed. So I got close to you to cause some trouble. But it turns out you're the illegitimate daughter of the Black family who can't see the light of day? I wasted my time! But you're really thick - skinned. With such a background, you still dare to come to school? And keep hanging around the two brothers all day long? If I were them, I'd have kicked you out long ago!"

Her two followers burst into laughter. One of them said, "Sister Yao, I just heard in the teacher's lounge that Adrian and Adrián have taken a long - term leave and won't be coming for half a month! Their IP addresses show that they're in the United States! Do you think they were so disgusted by this unlucky thing that they had to go abroad to get some fresh air? Hahaha!"

I looked at the two empty seats. They hadn't come back since they left last night. I asked Old Tom in the morning, and he just impatiently shook his head. Later, I found out that during that time, they had gone to the United States and stayed in front of their mother's tomb for half a month.

Isabella walked up to me, leaned over, and said maliciously, "Lillian, I just want Adrián to hate you. What can you do to me? You don't even have the qualification to challenge me."

I grinned and suddenly punched her on the nose without warning. She let out a scream, and blood gushed out of her nose. She pointed at me, her voice trembling. "You... You just wait!"

I was given a major demerit, and the college said they would contact my guardian. Deep down, there was a ridiculous glimmer of hope. Maybe... I could see that so - called "father"?

Fantasy was just fantasy. He didn't care about me and wouldn't set foot in the school for me. Knowing that no one would support me, Isabella became even more aggressive. She hid my textbooks, insulted me with French slang in physics class, and secretly dulled the tip of my fencing sword during training. Her tricks were endless.

This kind of situation lasted for a whole half - month. The Black brothers came back and quietly appeared in the classroom, still acting as if they didn't know me.

When the school bell rang, Isabella and her people blocked me in an empty classroom. She "clanked" a can of bright red paint into my lunch box, stirred it, and said with a hideous smile, "Lillian, didn't you have enough to eat at noon? Here, I'll give you an extra meal!"

The pungent smell filled the air. Just then, a tall figure blocked in front of me, followed by a clear and loud slap.

Isabella covered her face and stared at Adrian in disbelief. "Brother Adrian?! She... Isn't she that... Why are you still...?"

Adrian shook his wrist, and his eyes were as cold as the Siberian cold current. "So you know." He slightly raised his chin, and his gaze was like a sharp blade. "Knowing that she's from my Black family, you still dared to touch her?"

Another figure approached with even stronger pressure. Adrián's gaze swept over the jar of glaring red paint and finally fixed on Isabella's pale face. "Lick it clean."

Isabella's voice trembled. "Wh... What?!"

Adrián pointed at the jar of red paint and said calmly, "You poured it in, so you eat it. Not a single drop is allowed to be left."

Isabella's face turned from white to green. "Brother Adrian! I... I was just joking..."

"Joking?" Adrián twitched the corner of his mouth, and that little smile was extremely cold. "My sister is someone you can joke about?" He took a step forward, and his powerful aura made Isabella almost collapse. "Just anyone dares to ride roughshod over the Black family now? I'll say it one last time, lick it. Or, should I find someone to help you?"

In the end, Isabella cried and stuffed the paint into her mouth. As soon as it touched her tongue, she vomited violently, splashing a mess on the ground. She curled up and retched, with tears and snot all over her face. Her followers had long since run away.

Adrian disgustedly pulled me back. "Stay away. It's dirty."
