Li Ling casually pulled his hand from Bai Ruyi's grip, causing the young woman to be startled and turn to face him. What she saw left her speechless, for Li Ling was not at all impatient nor in a hurry as she was, seeming rather bored.
"Don't ever do that again," he warned simply, glancing around to see that the Asura Blood Hall was quite empty, as most of the disciples should have gone to the tournament grounds.
It was then that he also heard the ping from his token, which was quite urgent, but he ignored it as well. Meanwhile, Bai Ruyi didn't care about his warning, but was deeply puzzled by his lax behavior.
"Aren't you the one who wanted to participate in the tournament so badly? Why are you suddenly dragging your feet? Don't you know they are chanting for your disqualification over there?" she asked with pursed lips.
Li Ling seemed nonchalant. "They have no choice but to wait. Now come over here and let me see my child for myself."
