Lunch break.

After the bell rang, Kitahara Makoto turned to look at the aloof Togawa Sakiko behind him and asked in a low voice:

"Do you want me to get you a bread? There are always so many people buying bread, you probably won't be able to squeeze in."

"No need." Miss Fallen Ojou-sama crossed her arms over her chest, her voice cool, "I'm not hungry."

"Togawa Sakiko's ambition is commendable." Kitahara Makoto reminded her, "But by the time you come down from the rooftop, it'll be too late to eat, and there's physical education class in the afternoon… You don't want to faint while running, do you?"

Togawa Sakiko: "…"

Kitahara Makoto smiled: "Yakisoba bread or curry bread?"

Miss Fallen Ojou-sama turned her pretty face away, her gaze directed towards the playground outside the window, and replied in a low voice:

"...Yakisoba bread."

"Understood. Wait for me on the rooftop."

Kitahara Makoto stood up, strode out of the classroom, and went to the bread cart vending spot to snatch some bread.

When he arrived on the rooftop, he saw a blue-haired girl standing at the very top of the stairwell.

"Why isn't Togawa Sakiko going up?" Kitahara Makoto asked curiously.

"Give me the bread." Togawa Sakiko extended her slender hand, holding a banknote. She clearly intended to exchange money for goods, and said indifferently, "Kitahara-kun wouldn't want to be misunderstood by everyone, would he?"

Kitahara Makoto: "..."

Goodness, no wonder she was lurking in the stairwell waiting for him. She was clearly seeking revenge for this morning, wasn't she?

How vindictive can girls be?

Seeing Kitahara Makoto speechless, Togawa Sakiko's rosy lips curved slightly upwards, but it quickly vanished. She took the bread, and turned around cheerfully, her steps light.

Kitahara Makoto followed her onto the rooftop. Bocchi-chan and Kita had already arrived.

"Ohayo~"

Kita Ikuyo, with her brilliant red hair, stood up and waved. The girl's smile was incredibly bright, as energetic as ever.

"Sorry, I'm late." Kitahara Makoto walked over to the two girls, then unhesitatingly sat down next to Bocchi-chan, turned his head, and smiled, "Hitori, you can eat your bento first if you're hungry, you don't need to wait for me."

"Not, not hungry yet..."

Bocchi-chan's body trembled, and she quickly looked down at her toes, but the tips of her ears that were exposed had already quietly turned red.

The task of emptying the HP bar and accelerating the heartbeat increased by one again.

"Kitahara-kun, what's this about an evil spirit?"

Kita Ikuyo was keenly interested, her face full of curiosity.

Kitahara Makoto tore open the bread packaging, looked at Miss Fallen Ojou-sama, and took a bite of bread: "Togawa Sakiko, tell us about this morning's situation."

Togawa Sakiko nodded slightly, and parted her rosy lips to say:

"This morning, I passed by the park and fed a few stray cats, and then..."

The story was not complicated, merely omitting the part where she encountered Kitahara Makoto.

"Togawa Sakiko, are you sure you weren't mistaken?" Kita Ikuyo asked curiously.

"I saw it very clearly." Togawa Sakiko gently shook her head, "It wasn't a hallucination, nor was I mistaken."

"Then it should be a ghost." Kita Ikuyo took a bite of her bento, "Since ghost Senpai exists in this world, it's normal for other ghosts to exist too."

Kitahara Makoto said from the side:

"There are two conjectures now. One is that Togawa Sakiko has a special constitution and can see strange things that others cannot. The other conjecture is that it's an unknown after-effect of being possessed by ghost Senpai..."

"Hitori, have you seen anything strange these past two days?"

Gotō Hitori quickly shook her head, her voice almost inaudible: "No, I haven't seen anything strange. I've been hiding in my room and not going out."

"I haven't seen any other ghosts either." Kita Ikuyo's voice was clear and full of excitement, "But we can try to find one. Nijika said that her friend seems to have encountered a divine disappearance incident. When I have time, I'll go ask. If we can see other Ghosts, we can determine which conjecture is correct."

Togawa Sakiko raised her hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, and said softly:

"Just after school, I received a message that Fukada Senpai's father has returned from out of town and asked when we would be free to meet... What do you say, Kitahara-kun?"

"Hearing is not as good as seeing." Kitahara Makoto swallowed the bread in his mouth, "No matter how much we talk, the other party will still not trust us one hundred percent, unless he sees it with his own eyes..."

Kita Ikuyo's eyes lit up, and she quickly answered: "We can take Fukada Senpai's father to Tsukinomori Academy so they can reunite?"

Kitahara Makoto cast an appreciative glance: "Kita-san is indeed intelligent."

"Eh heh~" Kita proudly lifted her pretty face, not shy in the slightest, "Kitahara-kun, praise me more."

Kitahara Makoto: "..."

As expected of a social butterfly, you're really not timid at all!

"Then it's decided." Togawa Sakiko pursed her rosy lips, took out her phone, "Let's arrange to meet at Tsukinomori Academy in the evening."

"..."

Half past five in the afternoon.

At the entrance of Tsukinomori Academy.

"Mr. Fukada, hello, I am Togawa Sakiko, who spoke with you on the phone yesterday."

Togawa Sakiko bowed slightly. As a former Miss Fallen Ojou-sama, she had a knack for dealing with people, so the task of reception naturally fell to her.

"Hello, I am Fukuda Naoto."

Mr. Fukada was wearing a suit and looked to be in his fifties, with slightly graying temples. His attitude towards them was neither warm nor cold, clearly still skeptical, "You said you could see my daughter?"

"Please come with us to the music room, you'll be able to see her immediately."

The few of them didn't waste words and directly led the middle-aged man to the music room.

Seeing is believing, hearing is not. No matter how much evidence they presented, it wouldn't be as convincing as seeing ghost Senpai with his own eyes.

Ten minutes later.

Amidst the beautiful melody of the piano, a ghost Senpai appeared out of thin air.

Looking at his daughter, who had been separated for ten years and had now become a ghost, Mr. Fukada's shoulders suddenly trembled. He covered his face with his hands, and incredibly suppressed sobs overflowed from between his fingers.

Not being able to protect his daughter was probably this father's lifelong regret.

"So pitiful..."

Kita Ikuyo's eyes were slightly red, showing a remarkably strong sense of empathy.

Kitahara Makoto gently patted Kita's shoulder and said softly:

"Let's go out first."

The four of them left the music room and stood in the now quiet corridor, looking together at the distant sky dyed red by the setting sun.

The air was silent, even Kita, who usually loved to chat, had quietly become quiet.

Half an hour later.

Mr. Fukada walked out of the classroom, his eyes red. He first bowed deeply to Kitahara Makoto and the others to express his gratitude, and then said that he would take care of bringing the criminals to justice. The four of them naturally had no doubt about a father's determination to avenge his daughter.

Finally, it was ghost Senpai's 'reward'.

"Misaki's pocket money has always been well-stored. Tomorrow, I will hand over all the pocket money to you as agreed. In addition, there is my private reward, please be sure to accept it."

Hearing this, Kitahara Makoto's eyes lit up slightly. Although it was a bit out of place, he still wanted to say...

"To get rich quickly, you really have to rely on a rich woman!"
