"Yo Grace! I heard you're looking for a part-time job?!" A guy said. He walked over to Grace and placed his hand on her desk.
"My aunt runs a laundromat, I work there whenever I can but she still needs help. No one works there but her. She's even starting to loose customers because of rumors." He said, looking visibly upset.
"Rumors?" Grace looked at him curiously as she zipped up her backpack.
"Yeah, Some stupid rumors about a room in the Laundromat being hunted... I mean, it does makes sense though. I get strange feelings from that room too." The boy said. He put his hands in his pockets and backed up. He then sat on someone's desk.
"Get off Jeremiah!" A girl said angrily.
"Oh so your name's Jeremiah?" Grace said, standing up and putting her backpack on her back.
Jeremiah was shocked by Grace's words. He got off the girls desk and walked up to Grace. "Grace.... We've been in this class for a month and a half and you tell me that you didn't know my name this entire name?!"
"Yeah so what? You're acting like it's required." Grace said with an annoyed look on her face.
Jeremiah sighed and sat back down on the girls desk.
"Jeremiah I said get off!" The girl yelled.
Almost everyone had left the classroom. There were only 3 other people in the room.
"No! It's not like it's your desk anyways, Emily!" Jeremiah said to the girl in the desk, now known as Emily.
"And your name is Emily, got it." Grace said as she walked away.
Grace left the class.
"Hey Emily, you wanna go sneak into that Hunted room in my aunt's Laundromat Saturday? I know you have nothing planned~" Jeremiah said with a smirk on his face.
"Shut your mouth before I stab you in the throat with my pencil. It's pretty sharp. And I don't mind... Going to the Laundromat. But I don't wanna go alone with you. Let's ask Grace and find some other kids so we can sacrifice them if needed" Emily said.
"How about them. Those three, I don't remember their names but they're always reading Manga. Maybe they'd like to come." Jeremiah said.
He got off of Emily's desk and walked up to the three kids that were reading a manga together.
"Yo~! You guys down to check out a hunted place Saturday?! Emily is too scared~ to go alone with me. So what about it?" Jeremiah asked the three students.
One of them closed the manga.
"Yeah sure I'm down! I've read a lot about haunted stuff. I think it's real!" A girl said.
"What's you guy's names by the way?"
"I'm Mariah!" The girl that spoke earlier said, now know as Mariah.
"I'm Jack" another guy spoke.
"And I'm Alex, it's nice to finally talk to you Jeremiah." The last guy spoke with a smile.
"Alright, come with me guys. I'm gonna go find Grace. Emily wants her to come too."
Meanwhile Grace was sitting outside on a bench alone, eating her lunch.
"A Laundromat sounds easy. I should probably take the Job. I'm most likely ain't gonna get hired anywhere else anyway." Grace said as she stuffed her face with a sandwich.
"YOOO!" She heard someone yell from a distance.
Grace looked at to see Jeremiah waving his hand in the air and running towards her like a crazy person with four other people behind him but they were walking.
Grace chuckled and then choked on her food.
She coughed and drunk some water. Then breathed heavily like she almost died.
"Jeez you alright?" Jeremiah said.
Grace looked up and saw Jeremiah in front of her smiling.
Grace blushed.
"Y-YEAH SO WHAT?!" she yelled.
Jeremiah chuckled "Okay, Okay. I get it. No need to yell. So, we're all going to the Laundromat Saturday to check out that room I told you about. We wanted you to come. Will you be joining us. Also are you taking the Job?"
Grace's face turned red.
"Y-you wanted me to come? Yeah sure. A-And I'll be taking the Job too. I need it. Where is it?" Grace said while holding her head down, unable to look Jeremiah in the eyes.
"It's next to the arcade. It's a small building. You ever seen it?" Jeremiah said.
Grace remembered seeing the building. "Y-yeah, now that you mentioned it, I have seen your aunts Laundromat before. I did get a weird vibe from it...."
"Yeah everyone's saying that too-" Jeremiah was cut off by someone else.
"Hi Grace! It's nice to talk to you! My name is Mariah! It's so nice to meet you! I love your hair!" Mariah said excitedly.
"I'm Jack and he's Alex." Jack said.
"I also like your hair Grace." Alex said with a gentle smile.
"She said she's going with us. So Saturday we're all going to meet up in front of the Laundromat... Grace we need you to steal the keys from my aunt." Jeremy said excitedly as he planned to break into his aunt's Laundromat.
"Why can't you get it yourself. She's your aunt." Grace said, sounding annoyed.
Jeremiah sat down beside Grace and sighed.
"Uhm one time I asked to use the keys and then I dropped them down a drain 10 minutes later. I did that again another time. And another time i-" Jeremiah was cut off.
"Yeah Yeah so what you're basically saying is that you're a clutz... Got it.... Fine, I'll take the stupid keys from your aunt." Grace said.
She then stood up and dusted bread crumbs off of her.
Then the school bell ring rung.
"Alright it's settled, this Saturday we're becoming criminals!" Jeremiah said smiling excitedly.
"YAAYYY- oh" Emily said, looking embarrassed.
"Yeah today's Thursday so I've gotta get the job today and steal the key tomorrow." Grace said.
"Yeah so what?! You can do it, tomorrow your becoming a theif and on Saturday you're breaking and entering!" Jeremiah said mockingly.
"Shut your face." Grace said walking away.
After school today, Grace has to get hired.
The next day she has to steal a key.
And the next, they're breaking in!
