The Tyranid Hive Tyrant's bone blade completely crushed Imurah from head to toe into fragments. The latter died on the spot before he could even utter a sound.
After Imurah's death, the dozens of Warp Rifts also closed abruptly, as if they had never existed.
However, Marcus did not rush forward to examine Imurah's shattered remains at this time. Instead, he had the Tyranid Hive Tyrant further crush these fragments, along with Imurah's power armor, staff, and spellbook, into dust with its bone blade. Finally, Marcus called over an Enhanced Lictor and used mind power attacks, combined with its shoulder cannon, to erase all traces of Imurah remaining in this world.
When dealing with Chaos, especially Chaos Sorcerers, one must be extra careful; no amount of pulverization is too much. Perhaps only the Chaos Gods know what insidious methods these guys possess.
Taking off his Predator mask, Marcus summoned a lictor and took from its hand a device that had been holding the psychic disaster energy source. Even though Marcus was not very sensitive to mind power, he could still feel the immense power within the energy source at such a close distance.
"Detected that Host has completed Mission Objective 3. Mission evaluation in progress. Evaluation passed. Mission rewards are being issued. Random Draw Chance x1 obtained.
Title 'Chaos Power' obtained.
Title Effect: Every attack you make will come with one of the following four effects:
Pleasure: Your attack speed will be faster.
Corruption: Your attacks will carry potent poison.
Rage: The power of your attacks will increase.
Deceit: Your attacks will carry magic.
Detected that Host has completed the second phase of the main mission objective. Mission evaluation in progress.
Evaluation result: Excellent. Random Draw Chance x1 obtained.
Detected that Host has completed all mission objectives in the current world. World Anchor x1 obtained.
Travel permission has been activated."
A long string of prompts appeared on the system panel.
Marcus was not in a hurry now; it would still take half an hour for Titus and the others to return to the surface. By the time the Imperial forces discovered something was wrong and sent people down here, there would still be at least another hour.
Marcus raised his hand and released a psychic flying knife. He wanted to test the effect of the title "Chaos Power." The psychic flying knife shot out, instantly piercing through the body of a Fiend. Green, corrupting poison instantly spread throughout the body, dissolving it at an extremely fast rate. This attack triggered the "Corruption effect."
Without stopping, Marcus used the psychic flying knife again, triggering the remaining three effects. The "Pleasure" effect could roughly double the speed of his psychic flying knife, and the same applied to the lasers fired by the hellgun and the plasma fired by the shoulder cannon. For the potent poison of the "Corruption" effect, Marcus tested it on a cannon fodder Gun Worm; just one attack was enough for the poison to completely dissolve the Gun Worm within half a minute. The "Rage" effect could increase the power of Marcus's various attacks by about thirty percent, which he deduced by comparing the output power and destructive force of the hellgun. The "Deceit" effect allowed Marcus's attacks to be accompanied by blue magical flames, which were much stronger than the plasma flamethrowers used by Astartes.
Overall, Marcus was very satisfied with this title's effect, as it greatly enhanced his combat capabilities. However, Marcus couldn't help but inwardly complain. "It seems I've become a chosen one of the Four Gods; each effect corresponds to a Chaos God."
Following that, he looked at the two drawing chances he had obtained. However, since he had already completed the Warhammer world mission, there was no need to use the drawing chances now. So Marcus looked at a word he had never seen before.
"World Anchor"
According to the system panel's description, for every world's complete mission he finished, Marcus could drop a World Anchor in that world. From then on, he would be able to return to that world, and the cooldown for each traversal was three days.
Marcus raised an eyebrow; before this, he had thought he wouldn't be able to return after leaving the Warhammer Universe. As it turned out, the World Anchor solved this problem. The Warhammer Universe was a place where danger and opportunity coexisted, making it very valuable.
Without hesitation, Marcus immediately took out the World Anchor. A soft, white light leaped from the system panel into Marcus's hand. According to the system panel's prompt, he could place the World Anchor on any planet he had visited. Marcus casually set the World Anchor's location on the nearby Hive City planet Avarax. Although Avarax was not a super-wealthy Hive City planet, it was still much better than the jungle planet Kadaku or the tomb planet Demerium.
The World Anchor flew from Marcus's hand, plunged into the thick rock wall above his head, and quickly flew towards Avarax.
After doing all this, Marcus looked at the last line of the system prompt.
"Travel permission has been activated."
On the system panel, a previously grayed-out and locked interface had now unlocked.
"Current available traversals: 1. Will randomly traverse to one of the following worlds: Resident Evil game universe, Dead Space game universe, Transformers Movie universe, The Wandering Earth movie universe, Avatar movie universe. Do you wish to initiate traversal?"
Looking at the five worlds listed on the system panel, Marcus's eyes lit up. Aside from Death Space, which carried a higher risk factor, the other four worlds were relatively safe for the current Marcus.
"I can't be that unlucky, can I, to hit that one-fifth probability?" Marcus thought to himself. Immediately, he recalled all the Tyranid warbeasts present.
Additionally, according to the system prompt, the psychic disaster energy source in his hand could now be stored in the system warehouse, effectively becoming an item. After storing the psychic disaster energy source and the shoulder cannon in the system warehouse, Marcus took a deep breath, then prepared to press the button representing traversal.
"Finally, I can finally leave this world."
Marcus felt a little excited; a wider, endless world would unfold before his eyes.
When Marcus pressed the traversal button.
Immediately after, the system panel flashed with a dazzling light, completely engulfing Marcus.
A few seconds later, the light extinguished, and Marcus disappeared from his original spot.
The vast cavern, which had been bustling with a large Chaos Army and Tyranid engaged in a chaotic battle not long ago, immediately fell silent. Only the remains of mortal rebels and Fiend corpses, along with the damaged power armor of the Red Sorcerers, were left scattered on the ground. The only witness was the Necrons ruin in the cave, which had existed since ancient times and was emitting a faint green light.
