"It's about time; we need to make our move." Seizing the moment when the Na'vi were already locked in battle with HUNK and the others, and the situation on the battlefield was chaotic, Isaac, Jill, and Carlos gathered, preparing to begin their next action.
"Remember, try not to cause friendly fire casualties," Isaac cautioned. After speaking, he raised a rocket launcher and fired a shot at a giant tree not far away. This was their pre-agreed signal. This deliberately misfired shot immediately caught the attention of HUNK and his team, as well as several fighter jets in the air. The crashing tree once again added to the disruption of the chaotic battlefield.
Isaac, Jill, and Carlos then charged into the fray, their target directly the four-person team led by HUNK. Isaac confronted Krauser, Carlos engaged HUNK, and Jill faced Ada Wong. As for Leon, he remained hidden behind cover, providing long-range fire support and coordinating with the aerial fighter jets to suppress the Na'vi. This was to prevent the Na'vi from disturbing the elaborate show being deliberately staged for them.
"You traitor!" Krauser shouted, simultaneously firing his kinetic gun. The invisible force field struck near Isaac, the powerful impact almost stripping the flesh from his arm. In this carefully choreographed play, everyone had pre-planned lines, all for the purpose of performing for the Na'vi.
"I don't condone your genocidal madness, you war maniacs!" Isaac declared, raising the spear in his hand. He dodged Krauser's attack and thrust the spear into the latter's chest. The powerful force knocked Krauser back a few steps. Not missing this opportunity, Isaac, relying on the Avatar body's powerful physical prowess, pulled Krauser into close-quarters combat. This also served to conceal the feigned nature of their fight from the Na'vi.
"How long do we have to act?" Krauser whispered into Isaac's ear during a grapple.
"A little longer; it's not suitable to end it yet," Isaac replied, glancing at the intense battle raging around them. "The Na'vi need to be beaten more severely for the effect to be better." Krauser's expression remained unchanged, and at the same time, his Psionics activated, sending a throwing knife towards Isaac's back.
"Then you don't mind if I get serious?" Krauser prodded.
"Do as you please, just don't overdo it," Isaac said calmly. With the powerful physical prowess of the Avatar body, he was genuinely unafraid of Krauser. The two continued their silent, staged grapple.
Meanwhile, on the ground battlefield, the beleaguered Na'vi focused their attention on the fighter jets in the air. Cooperating with the scattered flying creatures, the large numbers of Na'vi immediately launched a counterattack. Having received the signal from Isaac, the pilots of several fighter jets tacitly reduced their firepower output. In fact, even without a signal, the limited ammunition carried by these few fighter jets couldn't completely eliminate this entire group of Na'vi. Braving the reduced firepower, the Na'vi were gradually closing the distance with the fighter jets.
"Alright, you can retreat now. If we keep fighting, there will be casualties," Isaac whispered to Krauser after parrying his combat knife. This message, transmitted through Krauser's communicator, reached HUNK's ears.
"All units, begin retreat." After issuing the order, HUNK and the others immediately threw a large number of smoke grenades onto the ground to cover their escape. Isaac and the others naturally had no intention of pursuing, and the Na'vi, under the command of their leader Eytukan, also chose not to risk a pursuit.
"Hurry!" Although they didn't understand why the Sky People's reinforcements hadn't arrived for so long, seizing this rare opportunity, the Na'vi began a rapid evacuation. They didn't even have time to collect the bodies of their fallen kin. It was almost a rout.
"Thank you for your help, otherwise we probably wouldn't have escaped the clutches of the Sky People," Eytukan personally stood before Isaac's trio and expressed his heartfelt gratitude. From the Na'vi's perspective, based on the situation they had just witnessed, if it weren't for the three "Dreamwalkers" helping to hold back those few powerful and specially-abled demons, giving them a chance to counterattack, they would probably all have been lost there, becoming captives of the Sky People. That would be a huge disgrace, something no Na'vi could ever accept. After this battle, everyone looked upon Isaac's trio with much greater favor.
"It seems the plan has succeeded," Isaac thought to himself, looking at the Na'vi in front of him.
"This is Death Squad, the first act is over; we are currently withdrawing." On the aircraft, HUNK connected with Wesker.
"Hurry back; prepare for the next operation." Wesker did not ask about specific details like casualties; he didn't care about such things. However, thanks to their early retreat, the Na'vi's counterattack did not cause any casualties to Marcus's forces. Only two Scorpion gunships experienced minor mechanical failures due to their turbofan engines being hit by a large number of spears and arrows.
"Record the location of the combat area just now. Someone will come later to clean up the scene and collect those Na'vi bodies." After saying this, Wesker hung up the communication.
Soon, the aircraft returned to Hell's Gate Base. After dropping off HUNK and the others, the aircraft did not linger but instead picked up many PDF Soldiers and flew back to the previous combat area. This was to recover the bodies of the Na'vi for research. These were rare research subjects; perhaps new BOW (Biological Organic Weapon) prototypes could even be developed through this opportunity. Wesker was quite invested in this prospect.
Through Wesker's report, the current progress of the infiltration plan quickly reached Marcus, who was on the Ishimura.
"Hmm, it seems the situation here is also on track," Marcus pondered, looking at the report in his hand. It would still take a long time for Isaac and the others to fully integrate and become leaders of the Na'vi. The PDF's colonization of Pandora could only proceed slowly due to the atmospheric conditions. Currently, the situation on Pandora was stable.
"It's time to make contact with the humans of this world." Speaking in a low voice, Marcus got up and looked out the window at the Star of Entrepreneurship docked beside the Ishimura. The human technological level in the Avatar world was not too strong; the main reason was that they had not mastered faster-than-light travel and communication technology. Therefore, even after several months, Earth, several light-years away from Pandora, still knew nothing about the situation here. However, the Ishimura, equipped with a Shockpoint Drive and capable of faster-than-light travel, could still present an impressive display to the humans of the Avatar world. As for the humans of this world, Marcus had no intention of conquering them by force. After all, attempting to take on Avatar Earth, with its tens of billions of people, was too much of a hassle for Marcus.
