"Ork fleet detected, Ork Megaliths are being deployed."
From the massive Ork fleet, several enormous Ork Megaliths, comparable in size to small asteroids, burst forth. They carried countless Ork Boyz, Ork Bosses, various Trukks, and even Morkanauts and Killa Kans. The shields they projected were not void shields, but rather force fields. Despite this, the Ork Megaliths still endured the relentless bombardment from the Ishimura and other armed merchant ships, forcing their way through the barrage and plunging into Avarax's atmosphere.
Behind the Ork Megaliths, countless Ork aircraft followed closely. Even suffering immense casualties, the Ork Boyz, driven to the extreme by their Waaagh!, still stomped on the gas, risking total destruction to force their way through the fire net.
"There are too many Orks; we can't intercept them all."
"Order all ground-based anti-air defenses to open fire! Intercept as many as possible!" The Commanders in charge of the battle felt helpless. The Orks were simply too numerous, and each one fought without fear of death. Even though their side had a significant advantage, the Ork fleet showed no signs of weakening; instead, they fought with even greater ferocity.
"Have all ground forces prepare for battle; the meat grinder is about to begin."
If the battles in space were silent and instantly lethal, then the war about to unfold on the ground would be a true meat grinder. The Ork Megaliths and aircraft tore through the atmosphere, leaving long trails of flame. Then, under the gaze of the ground troops, the Ork Megaliths crashed onto the desolate plains outside the Hive City with a thunderous roar. The explosions generated by their impact instantly swept away everything within hundreds of kilometers. On the plains outside the Central Hive City alone, three Ork Megaliths crashed, and the number of aircraft and landing pods was countless.
"Waaagh!!!"
Countless orks and Gretchin poured out of the Megaliths. Along with them rushed a large number of unique, ingenious Trukks, Morkanauts, and Killa Kans, showcasing the cleverness of the Tech Boyz. In just one wave of deployment, over eight million orks landed on Avarax's surface. The Tech Boyz quickly began to dismantle the massive Megaliths, using the chaotic mechanical parts and various junk as raw materials to construct an Ork Junk City on the spot. In the center of the Junk City, several glowing warp gates continuously teleported Ork Boyz and war machines from the ork fleet to the ground, joining the Waaagh!
The furious charge of countless Trukks kicked up enormous clouds of dust, sweeping towards the magnificent Hive City standing on the land. In the meticulously constructed defensive lines outside the Central Hive City, which had taken over half a month to build, all the soldiers gripped their weapons tightly. The PDF Soldiers remained relatively calm, as they were native Avaraxians who had recently survived the equally terrifying Tyranids threat. However, the volunteer soldiers from the United Government of the Resident Evil world were considerably more nervous. After all, the Resident Evil world had not experienced a large-scale war for half a century, let alone facing the ferocious orks now.
"Ork swarm is about to enter the minefield."
As the defending force, and having known about the Ork invasion for over half a month, Avarax had long ago laid dense minefields around the Hive City. Without exception, all were anti-tank high-explosive mines. Anti-personnel mines, which typically use diffusing steel balls and shrapnel to cause damage, were almost ineffective against orks. Not to mention the orks' exaggerated regenerative abilities. Whether those shrapnel could even scratch the orks' ragged armor and tough skin was a big question.
"Boom boom boom!!!"
Trukks were blown sky-high by the mines, and the accompanying Boyz were torn to shreds. The Trukks and Boyz at the very front triggered all the mines in a large area, clearing an attack path for the main force behind them. The orks paid a hefty price for this; the number of Orks roughly estimated to have died in the minefield outside the Central Hive City alone reached six figures. The shattered remains of the orks were scattered everywhere. Countless tiny spores secreted from the fragments drifted with the wind, taking root in the desert outside the Hive City. They rapidly absorbed the nutrients from the remains and began to grow and reproduce.
If these spores were not promptly cleaned up, the once barren desert would soon be covered by a lush green fungal forest. Countless Gretchin, Snotlings, Squigs, and adult Orks would quickly emerge from the ground, yelling and screaming as they joined the battle. To prevent this, the defenders of the Hive City could not simply defend; they had to launch active attacks and burn all these Ork spores clean. The best choice for this mission was the fearless and merciless T103 Tyrant and the Stalkers.
With several cultivation factories operating at full capacity, the number of T103 Tyrants on Avarax had now reached fifty thousand. The number of Stalkers was smaller, but still over ten thousand. In addition to the elite forces of T103 Tyrants and Stalkers, there were also over a hundred thousand Hunters of various types serving as cannon fodder and meat shields. Of course, both Marcus and the other Commanders were self-aware. These BOWs alone certainly could not defeat the massive ork army in a head-on confrontation. Therefore, these BOWs were organized into small teams to perform special missions such as surprise attacks and decapitation strikes. For example, beheading the largest and best-equipped Bosses or Big Meks among the orks.
"The first batch of T103 Tyrants, Stalkers, and Hunters have boarded and are ready for takeoff and deployment."
"Act immediately. Do not give the greenskins time to react."
Atop the spire of the Central Hive City, the one overseeing the ground war was, without a doubt, Alexia. Of course, even a superhuman like her could not micromanage such a vast battlefield and personnel deployment. Therefore, most specific command orders were executed by the lower-ranking Commanders. Alexia's role was more about providing general strategic directions at critical moments.
"Don't disappoint me." These were Marcus's words when he handed over command to Alexia. In fact, without Marcus's urging, Alexia herself was very dedicated to defending the Hive City. Although she was not an Avaraxian, or even from the Warhammer world, after all, in the past nearly half a year, she had personally transformed the face of this Hive City world. Alexia had already come to regard Avarax as her territory and would absolutely not allow the orks to wage war here unchecked.
