Chapter 222 - Loyal

Near the Mandeville Point, on the edge of the Recidious Star System.

The Imperium of Man's Warp engines require special locations—Mandeville Points—far from stars and planets to operate, allowing ships to enter or exit the Warp.

And at this very moment, after a period of travel...

The Space Sharks Warband's battle barge, the leviathan, emerged from the Mandeville Point, concluding its Warp journey. Inside the leviathan's bridge, the Commander of the Third Company, Sha'ar, hesitated as he looked at Tyberos.

"My Lord, do we really have to—"

Before Tyberos could answer, the Chief Librarian beside him spoke up.

"The will of the Void Father is absolute. His command for us to do this must have profound meaning. All we need to do is obey."

After witnessing the Emperor's will possessing the Living Saint, Saint Sabbat, the Chief Librarian had become subtly more fanatical.

"Report the location of the main fleet."

Chapter Master Tyberos ignored his Third Company Commander's inquiry and instead turned to ask about the main fleet that had gone to collect the ash tithe.

"According to the last Astropathic communication, they are expected to emerge from the Mandeville Point in one hour."

"Wait for the fleet to rendezvous."

Tyberos said in a deep voice.

"Yes, sir!"

As expected, the ten ships led by Second Company Commander Akamu emerged from the Mandeville Point an hour later, gathering alongside the leviathan.

Just as Akamu was excitedly bringing a large amount of collected ash tithe supplies aboard, preparing to report to his Chapter Master...

He saw the various high-ranking Chapter officers gathered in the bridge area, each with different expressions.

And from the others, he learned a shocking piece of news.

"The Void Father descended upon the flagship not long ago and issued us a direct command."

However, regarding this command, everyone's expressions varied, and no one directly spoke it aloud.

"What?!"

Akamu first felt disbelief, subconsciously thinking it impossible.

But then, he knew that the Chapter would not play such a joke.

Suppressing his curiosity, Akamu first reported to Chapter Master Tyberos for a while.

The report on the ash tithe.

"This harvest was exceptionally rich, enough for the Chapter's consumption for several decades to come."

Tyberos nodded and then praised Akamu.

However, before the latter could ask what command the Void Father had given...

Tyberos directly ordered the fleet to assemble and head towards Vegast in the star system.

The Space Sharks' fleet consisted of eleven ships.

Among them were three battle barges, belonging to the First, Second, and Third Companies respectively.

Four cruisers of various types.

Three frigates of various types.

And one largest forge ship, responsible for forging various war equipment for the Space Sharks.

This force was extremely powerful, especially after being replenished with ash tithe supplies.

The Space Sharks were capable of launching a war to exterminate a small xenos civilization.

And such a force, naturally, was discovered by the Universal Union the moment it entered the star system.

Currently, the highest authority in this star system was Commander Dugall, who commanded the Universal Union's First Fleet.

After the Space Sharks' warships emerged from the Mandeville Point, the Universal Union fleet had already detected them.

"General, what should we do?"

The adjutant looked at Dugall and asked.

Dugall himself was actually undecided, so he didn't rush to give orders.

Ultimately, it was Alexia, the current highest authority of the Universal Union, who issued orders to Dugall and the First Fleet via wormhole communication.

"Have the fleet maintain distance from the Space Sharks Warband fleet and temporarily stand by. Should they make any aggressive moves, immediately retaliate."

Although she had lost contact with Marcus, having spent so much time together, Alexia had long since figured out Marcus's way of thinking.

Even if Marcus were still here, he would most likely issue such a command.

Upon receiving the order, the Universal Union's First Fleet began to slowly retreat, no longer holding its position above Vegast's orbit.

Instead, it, along with the planet Vegast and several other armed satellites, formed an encirclement.

Commander Dugall silently assessed the combat power of the Space Sharks Warband fleet in his mind and compared it with the Universal Union fleet.

the Universal Union's warships were generally smaller, not exceeding one kilometer in length.

In contrast, the Space Sharks Warband's warships, even the smallest Sword-class frigate, were 1.6 kilometers long.

The length of the three battle barges was even greater, which meant that the Universal Union warships' individual combat power was, on paper, weaker than the Space Sharks' warships.

However, the Universal Union fleet's advantages lay in its greater numbers, better communication, and tactical coordination, as well as the assistance of the planet's ground-based anti-air firepower.

"This battle, it can be fought."

After repeated consideration, Dugall came to this conclusion.

Hearing this answer, Alexia breathed a slight sigh of relief, then said seriously.

"Once conflict erupts, hold nothing back. Exert full effort to eliminate all enemies. the Universal Union's existence cannot yet be exposed to the Imperium of Man."

Dugall adjusted his cap, indicating understanding.

Of course, both understood that war was merely the last resort.

They still needed to first observe why the Space Sharks had come to this star system.

"My Lord, something is amiss with this star system."

On the leviathan's bridge, the mortal navigator came before Tyberos and said, pointing at the ancient star chart in his hand.

"According to the star chart, this star system originally had three smaller satellites orbiting far from Vegast. Now, all three satellites have appeared next to Vegast."

Tyberos grunted, indicating understanding, then ordered.

"Amplify observation equipment."

After amplification, the people on the leviathan could see the numerous small warships circling in the void around Vegast.

Their number even rivaled the scale of a sector fleet.

Moreover, according to the Tech Sergeant's observations, the models of these ships did not match any models from the Imperium of Man or the Adeptus Mechanicus.

If the large number of Alliance warships merely made the Space Sharks feel strange...

Then the remains of the Leviathan Hive Fleet, floating in the void and not yet completely cleared, were enough to astonish the Space Sharks.

Even though a large number of bio-ships had already been cleared by the Universal Union...

The Space Sharks could still tell...

Not long ago, a massive Hive Fleet attacked this star system and was completely defeated by the people here. Looking at the Universal Union warships, each with its bow pointed towards them, Tyberos ordered.

"Continue forward, and directly hover above Vegast's orbit."

The will of the Void Father made him believe that those warships would not attack them.

The Space Sharks' warships advanced relentlessly, completely ignoring the Universal Union fleet in space and the massive anti-air defenses on several armed satellites, heading straight for Vegast.

"General, are we just going to watch those warships enter orbit?"

Next to Dugall, his deputy frowned.

"This is equivalent to giving up the initiative for nothing. Even if we activate the Planetary Engines to destroy the fleet, a large number of units will still be air-dropped to the ground."

Dugall stared deeply at the approaching Space Sharks warships and said calmly.

"Follow orders. We will only retaliate if the enemy shows hostile intent."

Although he was a fleet Commander, Dugall considered far more than just how to direct combat.

Based on his understanding of Imperial warships, if those Space Sharks truly harbored malice and were coming for the Universal Union, their warships would have already opened fire with macro cannons and lances.

"General! We've detected a communication signal from the enemy fleet!"

"Patch it through."

Dugall sat up straight.

Tyberos's magnificent figure appeared on the screen.

"I am Tyberos, Chapter Master of the Megalodon Warband, the Red Wake."

Even through the screen, Dugall could clearly feel the chilling aura emanating from Tyberos.

That ancient Terminator armor was stained with the blood of countless xenos and heretics.

"I am Dugall, Commander of the First Fleet of Vegast."

Facing Tyberos's unconcealed killing intent, Dugall remained calm.

Compared to the Queen of Blades who once drove him to despair, this situation was minor.

Seeing Dugall unafraid of him, Tyberos was somewhat surprised.

Let alone ordinary humans, even some average Astartes might not be able to withstand the killing intent he was currently exuding.

"We come in accordance with the will of Void Father."

Tyberos said in a deep voice.

"We do not come for slaughter. Our warships require a place to dock."

Dugall naturally knew that Void Father referred to the Emperor.

But he didn't understand why these Space Sharks would say such a thing.

Combining this with Marcus's sudden disappearance earlier, Dugall and Alexia, who was listening in via communicator, began to piece together some events.

For example, who was it that caused Marcus to suddenly leave the Warhammer World.

After a brief thought, Alexia had Dugall agree to the Space Sharks' request to dock.

the Universal Union would naturally not simply believe what the Space Sharks said.

Therefore, the Space Sharks' warships would not dock at Vegast, but on the adjacent Armed Satellite No. 1.

The Planetary Engine nozzles on it had already silently adjusted their angles, pointing at the Space Sharks' warships.

After receiving permission, the Space Sharks' warships docked in orbit around Satellite No. 1.

"My Lord, those giant structures on the ground appear to be some kind of massive weapons, similar to mountain-sized bombard cannons."

Tech Sergeant Hikkadi looked at the Planetary Engines below the spaceship. He could feel a lingering energy swirling around those gigantic nozzles.

"No matter. We will descend using the teleportation device."

Tyberos rose from his throne and walked with heavy steps towards the teleportation array.

Beside him were five hundred lightly armed Space Sharks, carrying no heavy weapons.

All other personnel were left in the fleet by Tyberos.

Bright blue light enveloped the Space Sharks standing in the teleportation array.

The teleportation array, a relic from the Dark Age of Technology, instantly teleported over five hundred Space Sharks to the surface, into an Alliance base next to a Planetary Engine.

Through the tactical visor of his Terminator helmet, Tyberos could see that numerous combat units, different from those in other Imperial worlds, had surrounded them.

"I do not sense the presence of Chaos."

The accompanying Chief Librarian used his psychic powers to scan the surroundings and reported to his Chapter Master.

Currently, among the combat units appearing before the Space Sharks, there were no xenos like the Na'vi, nor heretical entities like the Tactical Robots.

Therefore, the Space Sharks' emotions were still relatively stable.

Of course, with some exceptions.

"By the machine god, what magnificent machines!"

Some Tech Sergeants, including Hikkadi, couldn't help but exclaim.

At such close range, they could better discern just how magnificent the Planetary Engines were.

Tech Sergeants, as an anomaly among the Astartes, were individuals who had specifically studied on Mars with the Adeptus Mechanicus, believing in the omnessiah.

It was precisely because of this that, in most Chapters other than the Iron Hands, the status of Tech Sergeants was not high.

"We need to see your supreme Commander."

Tyberos stepped forward, his massive figure exerting immense pressure on the Universal Union's combat units.

"Boom! Boom!!!"

Dull thuds echoed from the distant ground.

Several giant Titan Mechs strode into the base.

Now, it was the Space Sharks' turn to feel nervous.

Before this, they had not expected that such a remote Hive City world in the Pacific Segmentum would actually have the machine god. No matter how valiant an Astartes' individual combat prowess, it was impossible to defeat the machine god.

"We have come in accordance with the will of Void Father!"

Tyberos reiterated loudly once more.

If it weren't for the will of Void Father, the Space Sharks would have already engaged in battle with these fellows who dared to brandish weapons at them.

One of the Titan Mechs opened its chest-mounted projector, casting Alexia's figure before the Space Sharks.

"I am the supreme Commander here."

"No, we wish to see the Planetary Governor of Avarax."

Tyberos looked at Alexia, his words astonishing.

The latter maintained a calm expression on the surface, but inwardly, she had already connected a series of clues.

How could the Space Sharks suddenly arrive at Vegast and then specifically ask to see the Planetary Governor of Avarax?

There was only one possibility: some entity had informed the Space Sharks.

Alexia thought to herself.

"Indeed, is it the Emperor?"

Then, after briefly organizing her thoughts, Alexia spoke again.

"The person you wish to see is not here."

Tyberos was not surprised by this answer and continued to speak.

"Then, we shall wait here."

Although Alexia couldn't understand what these dangerous Space Sharks were thinking, after some deliberation, she still agreed to the Space Sharks' request to stay and wait here.

Of course, all actions of the Space Sharks had to be under the supervision of Alliance personnel.

Tyberos also agreed to Alexia's slightly offensive request.

"What exactly do these dangerous guys want to do?"

After a brief conversation with Tyberos, Alexia's brows were tightly furrowed as she fell into thought.

The Space Sharks had most likely come to Vegast under the guidance of the Emperor; Alexia had already guessed as much.

But she couldn't understand what the Space Sharks, or rather, the Emperor, was thinking.

Just as Alexia was caught in a whirlpool of contemplation, an emergency message came through on her RIG terminal.

"We have re-established contact with the monster world."

Alexia's eyes lit up.

"Connect it to me immediately."

All control permissions for the world gate were in Marcus's hands. Since the previously closed world gate could suddenly transmit messages, it was naturally Marcus's choice.

The communication connected, and Marcus's face appeared on the screen.

Alexia impatiently asked a series of questions.

"What exactly happened? Why did you suddenly go to the monster world?"

Marcus on the screen rubbed his head before responding.

"Something from the Warp found me, most likely the Emperor."

"Indeed."

Alexia had an 'I knew it' expression.

"Is it safe for us to communicate directly like this? Will there be any danger?"

Marcus shook his head.

"I have adjusted the world gate parameters to only allow the most basic electromagnetic signals to pass through.

Moreover, after preliminary inspection here, I only have slight Warp radiation energy on me, no Chaos energy."

Alexia finally relaxed a little, then asked when Marcus would return.

"It will take at least another week."

"The Space Sharks have arrived."

Alexia recounted everything about the Space Sharks' arrival in the star system to Marcus in detail.

Including the Space Sharks claiming to have come by the will of the Void Father, and specifically asking to see Avarax's Planetary Governor.

"It really seems to be the Emperor."

Marcus had a bit of a headache.

"Besides wanting to see me, did the Space Sharks say anything else?"

"Not yet. I told them you are temporarily unavailable, and they said they would wait."

"Then let them wait until I return. Also, during this time, you can have some limited contact with the Space Sharks to probe them first."

Outside the Universal Union base on Armed Satellite 1, near Vegast.

The Space Sharks were busy continuously transporting various supplies from their orbital warships.

And began to build their own base, or rather, a combat fortress, on the spot.

"Do we really have to abandon our crusade in the outer darkness and garrison here?"

Akamu, the Second Company Captain, who had only recently returned and learned of the Void Father's command from Warband Master Tyberos, was still somewhat hesitant.

Just as he had previously admonished Shal, the Third Company Captain, the Chief Librarian informed Akamu with the same words.

"The will of the Void Father is absolute and must have a deeper meaning; we only need to obey."

Tyberos looked at some of the Space Sharks in the Warband who were confused.

He knew that asking the Space Sharks to abandon their crusade in the outer darkness, which had lasted for ten millennia, was indeed difficult to accept at once.

Even he himself was greatly surprised when he heard the Void Father's command.

All Space Sharks would obey the Void Father's will, but there was indeed some dissatisfaction in their hearts.

After some thought, Tyberos summoned the various Warband high-ranking officers.

"Let the Warband begin to harvest the red tithe, select suitable candidates, and the target is the people on this planet."

Upon hearing this command, the other Warband high-ranking officers were somewhat puzzled.

With just their thousand or so men and a dozen ships, how could they harvest the red tithe in such a place?

Nominally, the Space Sharks did have the right to harvest the red tithe in any world.

But they wouldn't be foolish enough to go to the Adeptus Mechanicus' territory, the home worlds of other powerful Warbands, or Knight Worlds to harvest.

That wouldn't be replenishing the Warband with new blood, but rather seeking death.

And after the Space Sharks' observation, Vegast was also such a place.

"Then we'll use a gentler approach."

Tyberos said something that sharply contrasted with his image.

For an ancient, bloodthirsty Carcharodon in Terminator armor to utter the words "gentle" was enough to make the Warband high-ranking officers surprised.

"Once our base is complete, we will announce that the Warband is recruiting new soldiers, and people will naturally come."

Tyberos was doing this to give his Space Sharks something to do, thereby diverting their dissatisfaction.

"As you command."

The Warband high-ranking officers quickly understood Tyberos's idea and began to work on the task of recruiting new soldiers.

Under the construction of the Warband's servants and Tech Sergeants, a fortress with a strong Imperium of Man Gothic style was erected.

It was not far from the Universal Union's base.

At the same time, as Tyberos had said, the Space Sharks did not forcibly harvest the red tithe, but instead proactively released news of recruiting new soldiers.

"I never thought we would have a day like this."

Third Company Captain Shal stood in front of the fortress gate, somewhat emotional.

Shal's identity was very special; his gene-seed came from the traitor legion, the World Eaters.

This meant that even among the already ferocious Space Sharks, Shal's desire for slaughter was among the most terrifying.

In previous red tithe harvesting operations, countless unqualified individuals had died under Shal's brutal training.

"Under the Void Father's command, the Warband indeed needs to make some changes."

Beside Shal, Second Company Captain Akamu shook his head and said.

"This will also help change the Space Sharks' image within the Imperium."

"Hmph, pointless actions."

Shal snorted coldly.

"It doesn't matter how those mortals and weaklings view us; we will still fight for the Void Father until we atone for the sins of ten millennia ago."

The Space Sharks were originally composed of Terra-born Raven Guard who were exiled by Corax ten millennia ago.

Therefore, the Space Sharks always felt that, having been exiled, they had failed in their duty to protect Holy Terra during the Horus Heresy, and believed they constantly carried a burden of sin.

And their continuous bloody battles against various xenos and heretics in the outer darkness were to atone for these sins.

Some legends even suggest that Tyberos, the Warband Master of the Space Sharks, is a super Raven Guard who has survived from ten millennia ago.

Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain Tyberos's exaggerated physique.

Looking across the Imperium of Man's million Space Marines, perhaps only Minotaurs Warband Master Moloc could rival him.

As the two Company Captains were conversing, a large convoy from the Universal Union appeared on the distant horizon.

Shal revealed a bloodthirsty smile.

"It seems we have visitors at our base."

Akamu, seeing this, reminded him.

"Don't go too far; I don't want to fight with these strange guys."

Leading this alliance convoy was the Isaac Team.

Their mission this time was singular: to attempt contact with the dangerous Space Sharks without provoking a conflict.

"We're at their base entrance; it's time you told us how to deal with these Space Sharks, isn't it?"

Inside the vehicle, Jill looked at her captain, Isaac.

Isaac looked at the Space Sharks' fortress in the distance, its gate already open, put on his helmet, and then whispered over the comms channel.

"We've released some Primal Zerg on Vegast. If we tell the Space Sharks this, they'll definitely go clear out the Primal Zerg.

We can then use this opportunity to make contact with the Space Sharks and gather some intelligence.

Additionally, we need to collect combat data and evaluate their fighting style to formulate anti-Astartes combat methods."

The best way to turn two tense factions into allies is to establish a common enemy.

And the Primal Zerg were the punching bag pushed forward by the Universal Union.

Once the convoy stopped, Isaac leaped out of the vehicle.

He fearlessly approached Akamu, the second captain of the Space Sharks, and Saal, the third captain.

Saal sneered, opened his gaping maw, and extended his armored right hand, pressing it onto Isaac's left shoulder.

A tremendous force instantly transmitted, attempting to press Isaac to his knees.

If it were a mortal, even a loyal Stormtrooper, they would be instantly subdued.

Isaac's eyes narrowed slightly, and Psionics instantly covered his entire body, stubbornly resisting Saal's immense strength.

Feeling the unique sensation in his hand, Saal dropped his sneer and said, astonished,

"A Psion!?"

In the past, Saal had killed many Psions, and the Psionics Isaac was using at this moment was very similar to what Psions employed.

The Psionics erupted instantly, shaking Saal back a few steps.

Isaac lightly patted his left shoulder and calmly said,

"I am Isaac Clarke, representing Vegast, and I need to see your Chapter Master."

Saal, already short-tempered, was about to draw the Chainsword from his waist to teach Isaac, who had just made him look bad, a lesson.

But he was stopped by the more rational Akamu, the second captain, who was beside him.

As mentioned before, Akamu didn't want to conflict with these strange individuals.

He only wanted to quickly await the appearance of the person prophesied by the Void Father.

"State your purpose, Psion."

Akamu's dark eyes looked at Isaac.

"A peculiar xenos organism has appeared on Vegast."

Isaac didn't say much; he knew that upon hearing this news, the Space Sharks wouldn't be able to sit still.

Sure enough, Isaac didn't need to make any requests.

Saal, the third captain, could no longer suppress his desire to slaughter xenos and immediately asked for the specific location of those xenos.

At the same time, Akamu, the second captain, also called the rest of the Space Sharks in the base fortress via the communicator.

Including their Chapter Master, Tyberos.

"Psion, tell us more xenos intelligence."

Tyberos's towering figure looked down at Isaac.

Feeling the surging killing intent from Tyberos, Isaac also felt a bit pressured.

Without hesitation, Isaac immediately informed the Space Sharks of the series of intelligence he had compiled in advance.

"Primal Zerg—"

Tyberos recalled the Astropathic signal received earlier on the leviathan.

The signal stated that many surrounding star systems had seen xenos hostile to the tyranids and Orks, called "Primal Zerg."

It was just that at the time, the Space Sharks, being in a hurry to get to Vegast, had ignored it.

"For the Void Father! Purge the filthy xenos!"

Tyberos shouted loudly.

Around him, the Space Sharks, who had already gathered in a vast gray mass, raised their Chainaxes.

The Space Sharks did not battle-cry; their slaughter was always quiet and efficient.

This indirectly proved that they indeed inherited from the Raven Guard.

"Lead the way, Psion."

Isaac didn't mind Tyberos constantly referring to him as "Psion" and immediately sent the activity area of the Primal Zerg to the Space Sharks in front of him.

"We need to unite—"

Before Isaac could finish, the Space Sharks had already prepared the equipment needed for slaughter, boarded the transports, and flew towards the fleet in orbit.

As planned, the Universal Union temporarily allowed the Space Sharks fleet to proceed to Vegast orbit.

Tyberos left only a small number of Space Sharks to guard the fleet.

The remaining five hundred Space Sharks, five full companies, all used teleportation devices to assault the barren lands on the surface of Vegast.

Sure enough, as soon as the teleportation light dissipated, the Space Sharks saw the Primal Zerg active in the barren lands, collecting biomass from Tyranid corpses.

"Filthy xenos!!!"

Saal, the third captain, let out a roar, holding his Chainaxe, and charged first into a pile of Primal Hydralisks.

The rest of the Space Sharks quietly raised their weapons and silently attacked the Primal Zerg.

The ash tithe supplies traded with the Adeptus Mechanicus earlier were enough to sustain them through this battle.

This would be the richest battle the Space Sharks had fought in decades.

Like a gale sweeping over sand, the Space Sharks, like a gray tide, continuously eroded the numbers of the Primal Zerg.

Even Hydralisks and Firebugs, capable of grappling with ordinary Ork Boyz in close combat, could not withstand the Space Sharks' ferocious tearing.

Those incredibly hard chitinous claws could not resist the gnawing and biting of ancient Chainaxes.

High-temperature strong acid also failed to hit the Space Sharks, who were far more agile than Ork Boyz.

Even if they managed a lucky hit, it couldn't effectively harm the Space Sharks protected by Power Armor.

Following behind the Space Sharks, the Universal Union's soldiers also began a steady advance.

Viking Fighters shrieked as they swept across the sky, engaging in dogfights with Primal Brood Lords.

Small Ion Titans, wielding massive cannons, continuously bombarded the enemy.

Large numbers of infantry units began to sweep the battlefield.

On this barren land, the Space Sharks and the Universal Union formed a subtle scene of joint operations.

"Is this what Astartes are like? They're too brutal."

Watching the Space Sharks, who truly fought like mad sharks, leaving only a field of dismembered fragments on the ground, Isaac, following behind, couldn't help but say.

"No, throughout the entire galaxy, Astartes as brutal as the Space Sharks are extremely rare. If you only look at the loyalist factions, they are truly unique."

As Isaac was lamenting, a familiar voice entered his ear through the RIG terminal.

Marcus was also observing the battle between the Space Sharks and the Primal Zerg.

"Release the Primal Guardians and Primal Ultralisks; give these Space Sharks a bit more pressure."

Marcus said.

Only such high-tier Primal Zerg units could truly test the combat effectiveness of the Space Sharks.

In a remote corner of the wasteland, numerous Primal Hydralisks burrowed out of the ground, then scuttled on their eight long legs, rapidly assaulting the Space Sharks.

Most of the Hydralisks were shattered into pieces by the Space Sharks' Bolter and Plasma attacks.

However, a small number of Hydralisks successfully entered range and burrowed back underground.

Immediately after, numerous thick bone spikes shot out from deep underground, precisely attacking the Space Sharks who were engaged in battle with lower-tier Primal Zerg.

Hard bone spikes collided with equally hard groin armor.

Some of the finely crafted Power Armor, recently acquired from the Adeptus Mechanicus, successfully fended off the Hydralisks' attacks.

But some of the older, worn-out Power Armor failed to protect the Space Sharks inside.

The sound of ceramite shattering was incessant for a time.

Most Space Sharks reacted in time when the ground trembled beneath their feet, avoiding serious injuries.

Only a very small number of Space Sharks were impaled by the thick bone spikes, temporarily losing their ability to move.

The surrounding Primal Zerg immediately swarmed them, tearing at them relentlessly.

Several grey-painted Rhino Transports immediately crushed the obstructing Primal Zerg, and the valuable Apothecaries of the Warband leaped from the transports, swiftly beginning to treat the wounded.

Seeing this, the Hydralisks, under the command of Yagdra, the Primal Zerg leader deep underground, chose not to attack the incapacitated Space Sharks.

After all, this was merely a test, and the Universal Union did not wish for the Space Sharks to suffer too many casualties.

"Eliminate those subterranean xenos."

Warband Master Tyberos ordered the Space Sharks while crushing all enemies before him with Hunger and Slaughter.

Elite Terminator Veterans began their assault, relying on the personal teleportation devices on their armor.

In this wasteland terrain, the Terminators could precisely appear directly above the Hydralisks.

As numerous melta bombs were thrown down, the Hydralisks were either annihilated by the brilliant melta light, or they were eliminated by Bolter fire as they burrowed out of the ground.

This was the combat style of the Space Sharks: swift, clean, and utterly decisive.

Unfortunately, the Primal Zerg were not merely punching bags.

"Rumble—"

Accompanied by the tremor of the earth, over a dozen immensely massive Prime Thunder Beasts, comparable to Warhound-class Titan Mechs, charged towards the Space Sharks.

Tyberos's expression was grave.

He had not expected these insect-like xenos to possess such gigantic Titan-class units.

"Notify the Battle Barge, release all armored vehicles!"

Tyberos commanded, while once again leading the Terminator Veterans to charge head-on into the Prime Thunder Beasts.

Beside Tyberos, several Space Sharks Librarians, led by the Chief Librarian, rose into the air, conjuring terrifying psychic lightning that struck the Prime Thunder Beasts.

They needed to buy time until their armored vehicle support arrived.

Inside the Battle Barge in orbit, the Space Sharks on standby brought out all their hidden Repulsor Tanks and Gladiator Tanks.

Among them was even an enormous and brand-new "God of Stars" super-heavy tank.

All armored vehicles were urgently placed into teleportation arrays and transported to the surface.

With the support of this armored force, the pressure on the Space Sharks was significantly alleviated.

Giant laser cannons and Plasma cannons continuously roared, attacking the charging Prime Thunder Beasts and the Primal Guardians in the air.

Especially the God of Stars super-heavy tank, the roar of its twin-linked accelerator cannons could directly shake the surrounding lower-tier Primal Zerg, forcing them to retreat repeatedly.

Each attack could directly penetrate the incredibly thick armor of the Prime Thunder Beasts, blasting right through them.

However, even with the firepower support of the armored units, the Space Sharks still felt immense pressure.

No matter how many Primal Zerg bodies they tore apart, an endless stream of Primal Zerg continued to pour out of the ground.

A Warband of a thousand men was ultimately difficult to confront such a scale of enemies head-on.

Moreover, the Space Sharks had already suffered losses in previous battles in the Outer Dark and against the Kronos Hive Fleet.

Before long, the Space Sharks once again sustained a considerable number of casualties.

The limited number of Apothecaries could not treat every injured soldier in time.

In the distance, Isaac, who had been observing the battlefield, immediately gave the order.

"It's our turn to enter."

Numerous Alliance vehicles roared out, heading towards the location of the wounded Space Sharks.

Professional medical personnel leaped from the vehicles, dragged the wounded onto the vehicles, and began emergency treatment.

soldiers in 5-4 type armor continuously repelled the attacking Primal Zerg, buying time for treatment.

In addition to these medical teams, under Isaac's command, the true main force of the Universal Union also began to act.

More Viking Fighters flew in from the distant sky, rapidly eliminating Primal Mutalisks and Primal Guardians, reducing the anti-air pressure on ground units.

Several giant Titan Mechs were also hoisted by numerous transports, entering the battlefield and beginning to sweep away everything in their path with devastating firepower.

"These are, Titans!?"

The Tech Sergeants among the Space Sharks looked up at the Titan Mechs, which were somewhat familiar yet somewhat strange.

the Universal Union's Titan Mechs had many similarities with those of the Adeptus Mechanicus, but they were not entirely the same.

What puzzled the Tech Sergeants even more was how Vegast, merely a Hive City world, could possibly possess Titans?

The technology for manufacturing Titans should, in theory, be entirely controlled by the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Before the Tech Sergeants driving the vehicles could ponder too much, the Titan Mechs had already eliminated most of the Primal Zerg on the ground.

The remaining Primal Zerg were also being rapidly swept away by the Universal Union army.

This was both because of the high combat effectiveness of the Universal Union combat units and because Yagdra, the Primal Zerg leader deep underground, deliberately allowed the Primal Zerg to die.

the Universal Union had already collected enough combat data from the Space Sharks.

This test was over.

After tearing apart the spine of the last Primal Hydralisk in the wasteland, Tyberos, covered in blood, raised his claws.

Beside him, the surviving Space Sharks also raised their weapons.

This was the Space Sharks' silent victory ritual.

After ordering the remaining Space Sharks to clear the battlefield, Tyberos came before Isaac.

And, with awe, he expressed his gratitude.

Indeed, without the Universal Union's help, the Space Sharks would have suffered some casualties and would have needed to call for orbital bombardment to resolve the battle.

But with the Universal Union's help, the Space Sharks only sustained injuries, with no deaths.

It was then that a small transport ship descended from the sky, landing in front of Tyberos.

A figure emerged from it, none other than Marcus, the target the Space Sharks had been searching for all this time, the one chosen by the Void Father.

The Emperor had long ago informed the Space Sharks of Marcus's true appearance.

Upon seeing Marcus emerge from the ship's cabin and after confirmation by the Chief Librarian, Tyberos, who had already made all preparations, did not hesitate.

He immediately faced Marcus, pounded his fist against his chest, and performed the oath of allegiance.

Behind him, all the Space Sharks followed suit.

"I am Tyberos, Warband Master of the Megalodon Warband, Red Wake!

In the name of the Void Father!

We shall pledge our allegiance to you!"
