Chapter 263 - [264] : Rare Item Collection Plan, Awakening Regirock!

Cynthia opened her bag interface. Her balance showed over 100,000 currency—earned from completing the first playthrough and collecting rewards. Since she'd only bought necessities, the money had accumulated naturally.

Looking at this amount, she opened the purchase interface without hesitation and bought three to five of each Evolution Stone type, instantly spending tens of thousands.

But gazing at the pile of gleaming stones now filling her bag, she felt it was absolutely worth it.

After all, throughout this journey, Evolution Stones had always been rare commodities—exactly like in the real world.

The chat erupted in celebration, as if they themselves had acquired treasure. Viewers shouted their excitement about the Evolution Stone shop, urging Cynthia to buy everything.

Some were already planning their own purchases—Raichu, Vaporeon, and more. Others commented on how loaded she was, while newcomers marveled at the second playthrough perks.

Just as Cynthia finished buying Evolution Stones and was about to browse other items, her phone rang.

After answering, Professor Oak's excited face appeared on screen.

"Cynthia, wonderful! I finally got through to you!" Professor Oak's voice boomed.

"I have great news! Thanks to those precious fossils you provided earlier and the detailed excavation site data, our laboratory has successfully restored the fossil revival device!

Now we can attempt to revive those ancient Pokémon sleeping within the fossils! This will be a giant leap forward in paleontological research history!"

Professor Oak paused.

"Also, regarding the in-game matters, I've sent you a compiled document. It contains detailed records of discovery locations and acquisition methods for all special rocks and mineral items in the Hoenn region. This should be sufficient to awaken that Pokémon!"

Cynthia immediately opened the chat window and saw a file titled In-Game Hoenn Geological & Rare Mineral Distribution Detailed Record.

Opening it revealed densely packed entries with illustrations. The document detailed the locations and interaction methods for various special rocks—dozens of pages worth!

Cynthia's spirits immediately lifted. The minerals at Steven's place were now unimportant. First, she needed to obtain all of these!

She quickly scrolled back, planning to start from the first entry.

Soon, the first record appeared.

Hard Stone: Described as a strange stone block containing ancient earth energy, suspected to be related to the Rock Pillar.

Known Acquisition Location: Littleroot Town, turn left from home exit, independent rock at the edge of small grass patch.

Target confirmed! Cynthia's heartbeat quickened slightly as she immediately left the villa. Using Fly, she headed to Littleroot Town.

Her character landed in the familiar hometown.

Cynthia controlled her character to head directly left, arriving at the small patch of grass beside her home entrance.

There stood a seemingly ordinary brown rock. She took a deep breath and pressed the interaction button.

The screen flashed, and text appeared: You discovered a peculiar stone emitting faint brownish-tan light in the rock's crevice! Obtained Hard Stone!

The chat was a bit confused by this sudden development. Viewers asked what she was doing and whether there were hidden items here.

Cynthia explained what had just happened. The chat, unsurprisingly, became even more excited, cheering about Regirock's imminent arrival and urging her to continue.

Cynthia didn't hesitate.

She immediately checked the next entry.

For the following period, Cynthia became completely immersed in treasure-hunting. Like a true archaeologist, she cross-referenced Professor Oak's data and began exploring the game methodically.

At the Rustboro Museum, she found a Root Fossil near an old stone mill in the backyard. Behind the Mauville Game Corner, a Claw Fossil was hidden in a poster-covered corner.

At Mt. Pyre, she discovered a Fire Gem atop a black lava pillar. In Dewford's Granite Cave, she pushed aside a massive boulder and found an Armor Fossil in a hidden cavity. At the Mt. Chimney cable car station, beside steaming sulfuric rocks, she obtained a Heat Rock.

Each time Cynthia precisely located a spot marked in the data, prompts for obtaining rare items appeared after interaction.

Cynthia operated with focus and efficiency. Her sharp gaze scanned every detail of the game scenery, not missing any clues mentioned in the data.

She became completely absorbed in this exploration, almost forgetting the stream's existence.

What she didn't know was that while she concentrated on following the guide, the stream's popularity was quietly climbing to a new peak.

Initially, viewers discussed Regirock and Ultra Wormhole plot points. But as Cynthia precisely acquired rare items point by point according to Professor Oak's guide, the chat's tone gradually shifted.

Viewers began taking notes frantically. They called out locations: The rock to the left of the house in Littleroot Town! Rustboro Museum backyard mill! Mauville Game Corner back alley wall! Mt. Pyre lava pillar!

The chat flooded with gratitude and excitement. People asked if anyone was recording to post later. Newcomers arrived asking if this was the Champion's Treasure Hunter stream.

Word spread rapidly.

Countless players flocked to Cynthia's stream, no longer just to watch the Champion play or follow the story, but to obtain this rare item collection guide in real-time, personally verified by the Champion herself.

The chat flooded with location names and words of gratitude, while viewer count soared like a rocket, constantly breaking records.

After over half an hour of collecting, Cynthia's bag was packed full with well over a hundred different types of mineral items, including even two Mega Stones.

One was a Blazikenite, the other a Sharpedonite.

This demonstrated just how much effort Professor Oak had invested in finding these items. She would definitely have to thank the old professor properly when she got the chance.

After collecting the final mineral listed in the document, Cynthia guided her game character back to the familiar entrance of Dewford Cave.

The cave's lighting remained dim, carrying the scent of rock and moisture. The faintly glowing minerals on the rock walls looked like eyes in the darkness.

She walked forward as before, planning to clear out wild Pokémon along the way.

After walking just a short distance, a Graveler appeared.

The battle screen instantly deployed.

Cynthia didn't even think, preparing to have her party's Sceptile finish it with one Leaf Blade.

But just before issuing the command, she caught sight of the opponent's information.

A level 45 Graveler?

Cynthia frowned slightly, somewhat surprised.

She remembered the first playthrough clearly. Most Pokémon in this cave were around level ten. Why was this one level 45?

Still, she didn't pay it much mind and had Sceptile use Leaf Blade anyway. With super-effective damage plus level advantage, the Graveler was instantly knocked out.

But immediately after, the next Geodude that appeared was level 42.

Then a Zubat appeared at level 48.

Now Cynthia sensed something was wrong.

She'd just entered the cave, and the wild Pokémon levels were already this high?

Currently, her party's main fighters like Sceptile and Kingdra had decent levels. Pokémon like Ludicolo and Pelipper were a few levels lower, all hovering around level 70. Handling these Pokémon wasn't a problem.

But if she fought her way through like this, just clearing the small fry along the route would consume considerable PP from her team, leaving them half-exhausted before even seeing Regirock.

Moreover, those Rock-type Pokémon basically all had the Sturdy ability. One move wouldn't work—she'd need two moves to finish them.

She was getting a headache. This efficiency was too low.

Just then, comments floating through the stream appeared like timely saviors.

Viewers told her to use Repel. Super Repel and Max Repel both worked—Pokémon lower level than hers wouldn't encounter her.

Shops sold them. The chat laughed, asking if she didn't know about Repels. They urged her not to brute force the small fry, to use Repel and rush straight through.

Seeing the flood of reminders, Cynthia snapped back to attention.

There's an item with that effect?

She directly controlled her character to exit the cave and went to the town below to find a shop. She found "Super Repel" in the items column.

After buying several bottles as backup, she returned to Dewford Cave entrance. After using the Repel, an invisible barrier seemed to envelop her character.

When she ventured deep into the cave again, the path was indeed completely clear. No wild Pokémon jumped out anymore.

The chat was amused.

They joked that Cynthia had finally unlocked a new item, that you couldn't walk at all in places with lots of encounters without Repel, and that the door to a new world had opened. This wave was a successful "chat saves streamer" operation.

Without small fry harassment, Cynthia quickly reached the cave's deepest depths once more.

The massive ancient altar still stood quietly there, showing signs of great age.

At the altar's center, that giant figure formed from countless massive stone blocks—Regirock—still slumbered like an enormous sculpture.

Looking at this Legendary Pokémon requiring awakening in the game, Cynthia felt a strange sensation rise within.

After all, not long ago, she had personally witnessed this Pokémon in the real world.

Though that was merely an existence containing a portion of its power, the heavy oppressive presence and displayed strength at that time had left a deep impression.

Without the Mega Stone the game had given her, she would have stood no chance whatsoever.

What terrifying power might this slumbering original body in the game possess?

She took a deep breath and opened her bag.

According to information she'd explored earlier, she needed to offer the collected various mineral items to the altar, charging it, before she could awaken Regirock.

Looking at the gleaming, varied-shaped minerals and special stones in her bag, Cynthia suddenly felt a pang of reluctance.

These things had all been painstakingly acquired through mining or completing various tasks.

She hesitated, first selecting a few of the most common Hard Stones and Star Pieces to place on it.

The energy gauge representing charging progress slowly inched forward a tiny bit—about 1%.

That's all?

Cynthia was somewhat speechless.

This consumption rate was way too high, wasn't it?

She began calculating carefully, specifically picking items she considered less valuable or plentiful to feed in.

Everstones, Flame Orbs, more Hard Stones, Soft Sand...

The energy gauge climbed slowly upward. 5%... 10%... 15%... Items in her bag she considered relatively common quickly ran out. Yet the progress bar hadn't even reached halfway.

No choice now. Cynthia could only start feeding in the more precious minerals.

Light Clay, a special Earth Plate Fragment... Watching valuable items disappear one by one, Cynthia only felt her teeth ache.

The progress bar finally climbed with difficulty to 45%... 50%...

"Tsk, this altar sure can eat..." Cynthia muttered under her breath, her tone full of helplessness.

The microphone clearly caught her voice, drawing a wave of laughter and sympathy from chat. Viewers joked that they felt bad for her inventory.

When the progress bar reached 50%, the slightly valuable minerals were also nearly gone.

Cynthia gritted her teeth and pulled out her prized possessions.

Comet Shards, Mental Herb containing special energy... Finally, she even steeled herself and fed in an extremely rare Dragon Fang.

Whooom!

When the total input items reached about sixty percent, the entire altar suddenly emitted a deep and powerful rumble!

Countless ancient runes lit up one after another across the altar's surface, bursting with blinding earthen-yellow light!

The energy gauge instantly filled!

The entire cave began shaking violently. Debris constantly fell from overhead.

At the altar's center, that massive stone giant moved!

Accompanied by the heavy rumbling of scraping rock, that massive mountain-like body slowly straightened. Accumulated dust from countless ages continuously fell away.

On its facial region, seven deep crimson dots lit up in sequence like awakening eyes, radiating a cold aura.

A terrifying presence erupted, instantly filling the entire cave!

The air itself seemed to freeze. The invisible pressure caused Cynthia before the screen to catch her breath. Even her fingers instinctively tightened.

This oppressive feeling—

Compared to what she'd personally witnessed that day, they weren't even in the same league!

This was the rock titan, Regirock!

It had awakened!
