Chapter 66 - Five Elemental Meridians

Liu Wei has to open all the five elemental meridians first, which consists of fire, wood, earth, metal, and water.

The wind was absent… Well, it does not follow the elemental systems in the western style.

The elements follow the Wu Xing system, where wind is absent, as it is treated as a manifestation of movement within wood or sometimes as a Heavenly Qi influence, not a fundamental phase.

Hence, wind often appeared as a secondary element under Wood, associated with movement and flexibility.

Liu Wei now planned to open the first elemental meridian, the Wood Meridian.

It was located along the liver channel, connected to his lower abdomen and sides.

The Verdant Cauldron Sutra stated it provided growth, flexibility, vitality, and regeneration.

Liu Wei only took ten minutes to open them.

He felt it was refreshing, too.

Compared to opening the chains, which really seemed like he was giving up his limbs just to obtain freedom.
