"We'll see, we'll see… looks like more people are coming. You'd better hurry, Yinsen."
Waving his hand dismissively, Saitama clearly wasn't buying Stark's pitch. He didn't know this guy, and his current side mission was to save Yinsen—nothing more.
"They're almost here! We don't have time!"
Yinsen was frantic.
"Forget everything else—activate the power system first!"
Stark barked the order, though more than half his attention was still on Saitama.
"Saitama! I promise you, once we're out, come to my villa. I'll give you a weekend you'll never forget! Once my armor is activated, we can take out every single one of these bastards. I've had enough of this place—it's time they paid for what they've done…"
Stark was practically recruiting him. He knew better than any government agent how broken Saitama's existence was—enough to shake the global balance of power.
"Someone's coming, Yinsen. I'm getting you out first."
Saitama ignored Stark entirely. He had no interest in another hunk of metal—he already had one at home, and two would just be a hassle.
All he cared about was finishing the side mission. That mystery reward was worth looking forward to.
Last time it had been the super soldier serum and a vibranium shield—both amazing. This time should be just as good.
Scooping Yinsen under his arm, he bolted without hesitation.
Whoosh—
His burst of speed created a gust so strong it nearly toppled the half-activated Mark I suit.
"That bastard tricked me! After him!"
The bald-headed warlord Raza stormed to the cave entrance with his men. Clearly, Stark had never planned to cooperate. Raza was furious and swore Stark would regret being alive.
"Go see what's happening—now!"
Several lieutenants stood between him and the cave, but they were just as cowardly, shoving underlings forward.
The unlucky grunts, clutching their cheap AKs, shuffled reluctantly toward the entrance.
With multiple reinforced steel doors still in place between here and Stark, they were confident that even a vampire couldn't get through.
Boom—
A deafening explosion.
A pale yellow blur shot out of the smoke. The steel door—bent and twisted—flew like a scythe of death.
Slash!
The hurtling door sheared through the men with ease. They stared at their severed bodies in shock, dying without understanding what had happened.
Raza froze.
Saitama raced away with Yinsen, his retinal display constantly updating.

…
Every person Saitama took out was a hardened terrorist—dying by his hand was no injustice.
"Open fire!"
They'd barely left the cave when the artillery positioned outside roared to life. Shells marked with "Stark Industries" screamed toward them.
Saitama sidestepped with an easy leap, landing on the cannon. One stomp, and the forged-steel barrel crumpled like tofu.

"Huh?"
He blinked. Destroying the cannon had increased his refugee rescue progress? Could it be… destroying weapons counted as saving them too? And such a big boost?
In an instant—
The next second—
Yinsen felt like his brain might hemorrhage. His blood was forced through his body by the crushing acceleration, almost bursting his vessels. Slumping to the ground, he suddenly realized it was cold.
Looking around instinctively—
"Hhh—where are we?!"
He was drenched in cold sweat. Somehow, they were surrounded by snow, clouds swirling far below. The temperature was freezing. One blink, and… this?
Saitama scratched his cheek, glancing at the distance. "On top of a mountain."
"A… mountain?"
Yinsen's mouth twitched. "How far from where we just were?"
"About… twenty kilometers, give or take," Saitama said.
If it weren't for worrying about a normal human's tolerance, he could have gone ten or even a hundred times farther without breaking a sweat.
"…"
Yinsen stared at him like he was looking at a monster.
He'd thought Stark's era-defining armor was monstrous enough—but compared to this bald man in a cape, it was nothing.
He found himself almost believing the saying—
The end of science… is theology.
Was this man… a god?
