The collapsing buildings suddenly froze mid-motion, like a massive machine jamming with a sickening screech.
Kaecilius's face twisted. No matter how much dark power he poured in, he couldn't compress the structures further. Worse—an overwhelming force pushed back against him.
"Impossible! Lord Dormammu's gift makes me stronger than the Ancient One! No one on Earth can defeat me!" he roared, surrounding himself with blazing magic wheels.
Crack… crack… crack…
The sound of shattering rang like a death knell. Strange, stunned, turned to see the impossible:
From the ruins, a figure stood up.
Arcs of faint blue lightning crackled around Saitama. He braced his hands against the collapsing towers and shoved them apart like cardboard. Step by step, he climbed from the rubble, footprints cracking the enchanted floor with every step, until he stood before Kaecilius.
The church went silent.
"…No way. He broke free?!" one follower gasped.
"His body… harder than diamond? But even diamond shatters!"
For the first time, the zealots witnessed brute force tear through magic.
Saitama dusted off his shoulder. "Man, that was dangerous. This your magic? Feels like the whole city got messed up." His deadpan face didn't change.
Kaecilius shook his head violently. "Even the Ancient One couldn't—"
"The bald sorcerer? Yeah, she's strong. Your little mirror trick's weaker than hers though."
Kaecilius's stomach dropped. Had this monster fought the Ancient One before?
"Fine! Then rot in the North Pole!"
"Don't! Dodge!" Strange cried. He knew the pain of being banished to Everest—let alone under polar ice.
But Kaecilius was faster. With a sweep of his hands, flames erupted in a circle, swallowing Saitama whole.
"Haha! Ten thousand meters under the Arctic ice! Let's see you dig your way out of that! Freeze into a statue!"
He turned, sneering at Strange.
But the doctor's jaw hung open. His finger shook, pointing behind Kaecilius.
"Trying to distract me? Pathetic—" Kaecilius scoffed, turning anyway.
Crunch crunch crunch.
"Want some? This shaved ice tastes great."
Behind him, Saitama casually gnawed on a massive blue ice block, frozen fish still inside. His sharp teeth crunched through it like candy.
Kaecilius: "..."
He could hardly breathe. Did… did this baldy just come back from the Arctic snacking on glaciers?!
"Damn you! Go to hell!"
He roared, hurling Saitama into the Earth's molten core. The heat there could melt even vibranium.
Yet—
"Yo, want some? A bit burnt, but tasty."
Saitama reappeared, holding two roasted fish—the same ones frozen in ice.
Kaecilius's eye twitched violently.
"You bastard!!"
He pushed harder, sending Saitama into space. The ultimate exile.
But when he staggered from the effort, Saitama was already back—this time holding a cage with squeaking white lab mice.
Meanwhile, at the International Space Station:
"OMG! Where are the test mice?!"
"Shit, I swear I saw a bald guy in yellow grab them!"
"Impossible! The station's sealed!"
"…I saw him too…"
"You're all hallucinating!!"
Back in the mirror world, Saitama poked the cage. "Cute little guys. Didn't know there were mice in space."
Kaecilius nearly tore his own hair out. None of his spells worked. This wasn't human—it couldn't be.
But Saitama finally set the cage down, his tone turning flat and serious.
"Alright. Enough games. Time to put you down… monster."
