Chapter 469 - Chapter 469

Only then did everyone realize that Saitama had found the Autobots' ancestor and asked the one even Quintessa feared—Unicron—to handle it.

Cade said, "Saitama, you really pulled it off… I owe you one."

Saitama nodded.

Just then, the little heroine tugged his hand. "Saitama-nii, where did you go? You came back so late—Vivian-nee was super worried!"

In the sunset, Vivian's silhouette was mesmerizing. Saitama walked over slowly. "I was tying up a few loose ends. Took a bit longer than I thought."

"You don't have to explain," Vivian said. "I trust you."

A short distance away, Sir Edmund and his mechanical butler watched, whispering in awe.

Sir Edmund was openly envious. Saitama was too strong. He never "flirted," yet somehow he flirted without ever trying.

"Sir," the butler said, "I just received a signal from Lord Unicron as well. Your thoughts?"

"If you want to go home, go," Sir Edmund replied. "An old man like me can manage."

"Then… I'll wait until you pass on before I return to Lord Unicron," the butler said.

Thunk!

Sir Edmund rapped the butler's head with his cane. "Mind your tongue. Three hundred laps of floor-polishing when we get back."

"Three hundred?!"

As human society eased back into peace, the world began to right itself. Under Sir Edmund's arrangements, Saitama married Vivian.

It was, in fact, Saitama's first time marrying a beauty within a worldline. Strange, yes—but also a novel experience.

On their wedding night, they lay together on a bed in an English garden, listening to each other breathe. Saitama noticed Vivian's heart racing—but said nothing.

He just acted.

The night passed without words.

At dawn, Vivian looked at him with a shy face. Saitama found it amusing—he'd actually made a great Hollywood beauty blush. Perhaps, somewhere along this long journey through worlds, he really had become more like a person with feelings.

"What do you plan to do next?" Vivian asked.

"I… haven't thought that far," Saitama admitted.

It was odd. Usually, when he finished a system mission, he was transferred to another place. Yet here he still was, in the Transformers worldline.

"Then how about a honeymoon?" Vivian said. "You can think as we travel."

"Is that a sudden idea," Saitama asked, "or something you always wanted?"

"Who can say?" Her eyes shimmered. "When I was little, I dreamed of traveling the seas with the one I love—watching the sunrise in distant lands, tasting foods from faraway shores. Now that I've found the person I love most, only that dream remains."

"Then we'll do it properly," Saitama said.

Seeing his serious look made her heart melt. So this… this was what a lifelong bond felt like.

When Vivian reappeared, fully dressed, she had returned to her usual cool elegance, which genuinely surprised Saitama. A woman could change so much, so quickly!

She cleared her throat. "What? Do I look strange?"

"No," Saitama said.

Vivian checked a mirror one last time, then handed him two tickets. The departure date was… today.

He glanced at the liner's name—Titanic. Huh. That name rang a bell. A closer look eased his worry: in this world, the "Titanic" was just the name of a luxury cruise liner. It wasn't bound for the South Pole; its route passed by an island near Sumatra—Skull Island.

Soon, Saitama and Vivian boarded.

Only then did he learn how much Vivian had spent to realize her childhood dream. This dreamship of a vessel—easily a ten-thousand-passenger giant—was pure spectacle.

"Let's go up," Vivian said.

"Mm," Saitama replied.

They walked the gangway, watching the sea—the swelling blue, distant white clouds, white gulls skimming the waves. It was… special.

Then, a familiar chime rang in Saitama's head.

"Huh. Why did the system ping?"

Even in the boarding crowd, he could tell: the system had chimed.

A mission window unfolded before his eyes—

Enter the King Kong sub-instance. Follow the ship to Skull Island. Prevent Kong from entering the human world.

Reward on completion: massive payout.

This mission cannot be refused. This mission cannot be refused.

It was the first "non-refusable" mission he'd ever seen. He'd just finished flattening the Transformers plotline, and now he had to jump straight into King Kong? His head throbbed. Even a hero who saved the world liked a little downtime sometimes…

As Saitama accepted the mission and stepped onto the liner with Vivian, a man and woman boarded via the adjacent gangway—the man with half-curled hair, the woman with eyes as blue as the sea.

Vivian tugged Saitama's sleeve. "See them? That man is a hotshot, wildly ambitious Hollywood director. The woman must be an actress."

Saitama's headache deepened. So that was it. He hadn't been transferred out because this Transformers world still held other, smaller sub-instances.

"King Kong… I've seen the movie," he thought. "I remember the 'moral': be like Kong—if it's for the woman you love, dare to fight biplanes atop a skyscraper."

"Now that I'm here, maybe it's best to stop that 'global spectacle' from happening at all."

He glanced again at Director Carl's starlet; aside from those striking eyes, she was hardly on Vivian's level.

Then he chuckled to himself. Wasn't his wife—Vivian—also a Hollywood actress? It's just that, inside this Transformers world, she didn't know it.

Whatever the case… one step at a time.

Saitama set his jaw.
