The Demon God's clone that was fighting Saitama drew its power directly from the altar ritual; the instant the ritual was disrupted and nearly cut off, it sensed it immediately.

The fully transformed Demon God clone's eyes, burning with pure malice, locked onto Wanda and Strange, who were maintaining the purification ritual. It realized it had to eliminate these two sources of interference first.
