Chapter 112 - Check seals

Even when I said I was fine, Sung-min didn't believe me. Maybe my act was just too believable, but it only means I've still got it, right?

Cold mist curled from his fingers as he held my hand. He seemed tense. Why? Because I was here with him?

I don't think he'd be tense if I didn't come along on this mission.

Then his other hand touched my shoulder carefully.

"You don't have to pretend," he suddenly muttered, almost too soft to catch, but his lips were right over my ear, and my attentiveness towards him made it so hard to miss.

If only he knew.

The others were staring at the crack with various shades of horror, just imagining what could be waiting for us in there.

"Why does it look like it's breathing…?" someone asked. It seemed like it was their first time being so close to a crack since anyone who had gone close would know.

"It always breathes," Min-jae said, sounding way too delighted. "That's the fun part, since it seems like it's alive and going to eat us up."
