Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 Heretics Must Die

The planetary governor's order was executed immediately. A platoon of PDFs received the order and arrived at the nobleman's manor in a troop transport vehicle carrying weapons.

After jumping off the troop carrier, Corporal Dmitri adjusted a metal badge on his chest, then blew his whistle to assemble his squad.

The soldiers noticed Corporal Dmitri's actions, but there was only envy in their eyes.

Because that means Corporal Dmitri has killed at least one xenomorph.

All defense soldiers knew about the aliens in the city's sewers.

After all, General Gregory was not a kind man. He really pulled ten regiments of PDF to the front line, and then they took turns to see how terrifying those terrible metal aliens were.

The defense forces suffered heavy casualties for this.

But this also allowed those who survived to quickly grow into qualified soldiers. Among them, those like Corporal Dmitri who were able to successfully enter the sewers and hunt aliens were the elite among the elite.

Excellent soldiers like him can often win a considerable degree of respect among the Guards, because their regimental political commissar has told them that only the bravest and best Guards soldiers can get the honor of hunting aliens in the sewers.

Although many of them never returned, those who did, like Corporal Dmitri, would soon receive the honor of promotion and the envy of countless others.

Feeling the envious gaze, Corporal Dmitriy puffed out his chest higher, making the bulletproof armor on his chest bulge.

He did have enough reasons to be proud. Although he and his teammates paid a huge price to kill the terrifying alien and he even lost an eye for it, the glory of this battle made him and his teammates feel that all the sacrifices and efforts were worth it.

Because of this achievement, they were no longer called a burden to the Divine Emperor by the Political Commissar, but were qualified to call themselves his brave warriors.

For the same reason, Dmitri was very angry when he heard that they needed to confiscate the estate of a heretic noble.

How dare they betray the grace of the Divine Emperor?! As nobles, they have no desire to be loyal to the Divine Emperor, no desire to die for the Empire, but instead embrace a heretical faith?! What blasphemy and unforgivable deed!

Dmitri had not received much education, or rather, most civilian children on Rostov II had no opportunity to receive an education.

But when they were young, they usually had access to some Anglican priests. These friendly clergymen would teach the children some reading and writing knowledge of Low Gothic so that they could understand the Anglican scriptures and understand the holiness and greatness of His Holy Majesty.

For missionary purposes, these pastors usually used the state religion classics as teaching materials when teaching children to read and write.

This made Dmitri clearly understand from a young age the greatness of His Holy Majesty, and that all the people of the empire relied on the great grace of the God-Emperor to live in this galaxy.

Any act that betrays the faith in the Divine Emperor is shameful and blasphemous.

When Dmitry was a child, he had the honor of witnessing a white phosphorus execution. The painful cries of the executed heretic begging for mercy really scared him for a long time, and his young mind could not forget it for a long time. For a long time, this became the material of his nightmares every night.

But now, Dmitri felt that the death penalty of white phosphorus was somewhat too lenient for heretics.

Their crime of blasphemy against the Divine Emperor cannot be washed away by a death sentence with white phosphorus.

"Hurry up! Search carefully! Don't miss any clues! They are all heretics who betrayed the God-Emperor, they must not be let go! They are not innocent, they are sinners who blasphemed the God-Emperor!" Dmitri shouted at his men. The platoon leader did not stop him because the platoon leader himself was leading people to capture the noble's family.

Although they were all women, and noble women who would never even look at them, they were heretics, or at least the families of heretics.

So they were roughly pulled by their arms or hair and dragged into the yard. Some people beat them roughly and some spat at them. A young lady who looked very fragile was knocked to the ground, with terrible bruises on her face. She was crying with tears in her eyes, and she looked very pitiful.

If it were under normal circumstances, this would definitely attract a large number of young men with a sense of justice to stand up for justice. Even Dmitry himself felt that these people were too cruel.

But as soon as he thought about this heresy that blasphemed the God-Emperor, Dmitri couldn't help but spit on the noble girl's luxurious clothes.

Although he wanted to spit in her face, for some reason he suddenly felt pity.

However, soon, the various blasphemous things found in the manor completely eliminated the trace of compassion in Dmitri's heart.

This noble lady maintained her youth and beauty by bathing in the blood of living people. In the basement of her manor, imprisoned girls and other innocent people were found, most of whom were tortured to death.

Especially the imprisoned girl, all the blood in her body was almost drained, and her skin was as pale as a corpse.

As for the others, most of them suffered tortures of a degree of cruelty that was appalling. Most of them lost their complete limbs, and some of them had less than one-third of their original body parts left. Their entire bodies were turned into decorations of some kind of dark art.

The most profane artifact recovered from the estate was a painting, a living painting.

These blasphemous things made Dmitri shiver all over. Even when facing the fear aura of the Flayed Alien, Dmitri could bravely shout the name of the God-Emperor and face the terror, but everything before him made him dare not look at it again.

Because he was afraid, afraid that he would lose control and kill these heretics directly.

That would be too easy for them! They must pay the most cruel price for their blasphemous crimes!

At the same time, Dmitri was feeling extremely ashamed and guilty for having shown sympathy for a heretic, which made him want to treat these blasphemous heretics in the most cruel way.

However, the death penalty of white phosphorus is still too merciful for these heretics who blasphemed the God-Emperor.
