Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

"Why? Why did you all have to do this? Was my throne that important? That you all decided to just abandon your faith and start fighting? Just to be the most powerful?"

He stands in the middle of the battlefield, surrounded by dead angels and heavenly warriors, the ones he cherished all so dearly.

As he hears the footsteps, he turns around to look at the enemies that arrived at his doorstep.

"I raised you like a son, you would have taken my position anyway sooner or later. Why did you do this? Has your bloodlust taken over you?"

Indra looked Yudhra in the eyes. Yudhra just looked back at Indra with cold, empty eyes. This was new for Indra as he was used to Yudhra having the alive eyes of a curious, vibrant, youngster, not this cold psychopath who would burn the world if he could rule over the ashes.

"It's not your fault, Indra!"

Indra's eyes widened as a chill ran down his spine. From behind Yudhra, he appeared. It was him, the one Indra had punished long ago.

"This is why you gods were unfit to rule the heavens. So trusting, so hopeful, so naive. The throne of the heaven needs me. The almighty Adheera, the smart one."

Adheera walks over and stands beside Yudhra, placing a hand over his shoulder, as if they were father and son.

"Your time has ended, Indra. Rest well."

Adheera walked up closer to Indra and raised his weapon. His weapon was a long, black metal rod which could make any sort of energy weapon. Adheera pushed his energy through the metal, and the blunt and strong blade of an axe formed. It was transparent and silver in color.

Adheera raised it, ready to land the killing blow.

And suddenly, a spear entered Adheera's back and came out of his chest, going through his heart.

Adheera's eyes widened as he slowly turned around.

"A... Achyut?"

"Hey elder brother!"

Achyut stood there with dirt and blood covering his face. His outfit was dirty and torn from all the fighting he did.

"You didn't think I was dead, did you?"

Achyut smirked in the middle of his exhausted fast breathing.

Yudhra jumped into action, so did Indra. Achyut dodged Yudhra's arrow with ease and Indra charged right towards Yudhra.

Adheera was on his knees, trying to pull the spear out of his heart. Achyut pulled out his dagger and went to stab Adheera in the neck. Adheera caught Achyut's hand and pushed himself back to his feet with the spear still in his chest.

"This is the last time you screw up my plans, little brother."

Adheera grabs Achyut by the ear and slams his head into the ground. Achyut manages to recover fast and grabs Adheera by the arm and pulls him down.

Achyut's dagger invades Adheera's neck. Adheera starts chocking, unable to breathe.

Indra goes ahead to punch Yudhra, Yudhra manages to dodge his punch and drives his spear through Indra's heart. Indra drops to his knees.

Achyut pulls the knife out of Adheera's neck, pins him on the ground and stabs him again and again and again until Adheera was unconscious and could not move.

"I hate immortals."

Achyut whispered to himself as he got back to his feet.

He turned, only to see Indra on his knees and Yudhra winning. Achyut ran towards Yudhra with the knife. Yudhra kicked Indra away and dodged Achyut's attacks.

Suddenly, the loud bells were heard.

Yudhra turned and smirked.

Achyut frowned.

"The dark forces have reached the Heavens and are now invading."

Yudhra whispers below his breath. Achyut looks at Yudhra and tries to attack him.

Yudhra was much better of a fighter and managed to outclass Achyut by a huge difference.

Indra slowly got back to his feet, looked at Yudhra with narrow eyes.

He took a deep breadth and whispered, finally accepting the reality and the stakes of the situation.

"Fine then! No other way!"

Indra raised his arms up and screamed loudly. Millions of golden chains erupted out of the ground around his feet and reached for the unconscious Adheera, Yudhra and all the soldiers in the dark forces.

Yudhra's eyes widened. He shouted.

"What is this? What the hell is this?"

He tried to resist but the force was overwhelming him, he was getting pulled in.

He screamed, tried to run, tried to escape, but the chains had him by the neck and dragged him down, to hell.

Indra collapsed to his knees once the entire dark forces was sealed away.

Achyut walked up to him.

"I know my brother. Hell won't hold him for long."

Indra coughed.

"My life... is ending now. I will finish this war, in my next birth. I will reincarnate as a human, completely unaware of my strength and destiny. Come find me, I entrust you with this job."

Indra fell down on the ground as his entire body slowly started turning into golden dust. Achyut stood there, watching, as the king of heavens and the most powerful god ever, turned into dust.

7000 Years Later

His eyes open, the sunlight strikes his face with warmth. He sits up in the bed, his shoulders still aching from all the training yesterday.

"Yo, Rishi!"

Adyant interrupts his moment.

"We are soon about to have a new mission. Let's hope I won't have to carry your dead weight this time."

He left after saying those mocking words to Rishi.

Rishi had no choice but to reluctantly push himself out of the bed.

"I swear, I would love to see him get obliterated to dust someday."

Rishi uttered those words and got out of the bed.
