Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: Mysterious Voice

Inside the wooden house.

Zhu Ziyang sat cross-legged on the bed, his mind immersed in the sea of spirit.

"Teacher, I should be able to withstand the pressure of plane traversal now, right?" Zhu Ziyang asked Electrolux.

"There shouldn't be any problem." Electrolux smiled and looked at him. "Begin. I will protect you."

"Yes!" Zhu Ziyang couldn't suppress the excitement in his heart. He immediately began using the method Electrolux had taught him to fully accept the Undead Demiplane.

Inside his spiritual sea, the gray-white ring of light representing the entrance to the demiplane slowly floated upward under his control, higher and higher, eventually leaving the domain of the spiritual sea and entering the realm of the soul sky.

Zhu Ziyang's soul sky had already grown very thin. Over the years, as his strength increased and he practiced Monarch Over The World, the wall separating soul and body had become as fragile as paper. Once his spiritual power reached the tangible and substantial realm, he would completely refine it.

The gray-white ring of light representing the Undead Demiplane appeared above the soul sky. With a thought, a portal radiating faint light energy opened in front of him—this was the spatial gate to the Undead Demiplane.

The room now held a visible spatial gate, and Zhu Ziyang could clearly feel the surrounding space rippling. His left eye flickered slightly, but he paid no attention and focused entirely on the gate before him.

A faint human-shaped figure appeared beside him, looking at the portal with satisfaction. "Go in," it said.

This figure was naturally Electrolux. His soul had grown solid enough to leave Zhu Ziyang's spiritual sea and manifest in the real world without fear of being dissolved by worldly laws.

"Mm!" Zhu Ziyang nodded silently and stepped into the gate with one leg. His whole body followed, disappearing from the wooden house as the portal shrank into a golden bean-sized speck of light that hovered midair.

Zhu Ziyang immediately felt pressure nearly twice as heavy as normal. But apart from that, nothing else seemed out of place. Once he felt his body lighten, he realized he had entered the Undead Demiplane.

He felt the hard ground beneath him and could not calm his heart. So this was the Undead Demiplane? With his body present, he could fully perceive the environment: cold temperatures, extremely dry air, thick death energy. The elemental distribution was dominated by darkness, water, fire, and earth, with only a trace of light.

"Come, drip your blood onto this plane core." While he was still absorbing the atmosphere, Electrolux walked over holding a crescent-shaped gem.

"Oh!" Zhu Ziyang focused on the gem. It was pure white with a faint image of a skull within, emitting a soft light aura mixed with death energy.

Without hesitation, he bit the tip of his tongue, and a drop of blood landed on the gem. The blood instantly seeped in, releasing a gentle radiance that soon enveloped the crescent-shaped gem. Then, to Zhu Ziyang's amazement, the gem floated up from Electrolux's hands, hovered above his forehead, and began to spin.

The gem spun faster and faster, shrinking from palm-sized to sesame-sized, then shot into Zhu Ziyang's forehead with a soft "whoosh".

His body trembled, and then a strange sensation surged within—as if he had become the sovereign of this world.

And indeed, he had. From that moment, the Undead Demiplane had recognized him as its master. With the fusion complete, the demiplane underwent significant changes.

Its size immediately shrank by half—from the scale of half the Douluo Continent down to the size of the Heaven Soul Empire. The black sun in the sky showed a golden point at its center. As Zhu Ziyang's influence grew, this sun would eventually become fully golden. On the barren land, moss began to appear—plants that could only grow in the far north of the Douluo Continent.

Joy flooded Zhu Ziyang's face. With a thought, he instantly teleported a hundred meters away, and with another, returned. This basic spatial control was his foundational right as master of the demiplane.

As he grew more familiar, his authority would increase.

"Very good!" Electrolux said joyfully. "It seems the plane has accepted you. I can rest easy now."

"Yes!" Zhu Ziyang suppressed his excitement. "Thank you, Teacher."

"Hahaha! No need to thank me, we're teacher and student!" Electrolux laughed heartily. "With this demiplane, your safety is far more secure. Even if you meet strong enemies, you won't need to worry."

"Exactly!" Zhu Ziyang nodded. He fully agreed.

The significance of the Undead Demiplane wasn't just a safe haven. Far more importantly, he could now summon the undead army, led by the Hell Knights, at any time. Being able to summon five Title Douluo-level undead at will—this was a privilege only he could enjoy.

Overjoyed, he exited the Undead Demiplane and returned to his wooden house. He climbed onto his bed and began to cultivate.

Quickly entering a meditative state, he soon sensed something strange—a feeling of being watched crept up his spine.

He suddenly opened his eyes and shouted sharply, "Who's there? Come out!"

But then, something horrifying occurred. His loud voice didn't stir the elders nearby. Xingcai, who was in the room, remained still. Even Electrolux in his spiritual sea made no response. The entire world seemed frozen.

Silence.

As fear gripped his heart, the space around him turned gray and blank. A misty haze surrounded him. His spiritual power couldn't pierce the fog, and he couldn't sense his body.

This unprecedented powerlessness overwhelmed him.

"You're quite special." A flat voice echoed—everywhere and nowhere. It felt like it came from both outside and inside him, leaving him disoriented.

"Who are you?" Zhu Ziyang felt joy at hearing another voice, but also fear and anger.

"You're afraid?" the voice asked. "No need. I just came to see you."

Zhu Ziyang frowned, more confused than before.

"I've been watching you for a long time," the voice said. "The reason I appear now is because you've met my standards."

"Your standards? What standards?" Zhu Ziyang growled, still angry, though curious.

"Do you know what a god is?" the voice asked calmly.

"A god? Are you saying you're a god?" Zhu Ziyang's mind trembled.

"You could say that," the voice answered vaguely.

"Then what do you want from me?" Zhu Ziyang asked, unsure whether to feel hope or dread.

"Naturally, it's for the inheritance of a god position," the voice declared.

Zhu Ziyang's heart nearly stopped. Was he hearing correctly?

"Don't doubt it," the voice said. "Let me make this clear—once your cultivation reaches six soul rings, the divine trial will begin. Then, you'll understand everything."

Before he could speak, the voice disappeared, the mist scattered, and he found himself back in his room.

His face was full of shock. His eyes glowed with disbelief.

A god position—such a distant, unattainable thing—had actually come to him? Was that voice truly a god? Was this how Sea God Tang San had inherited his position ten thousand years ago? What kind of god was behind that voice? One that had existed in Douluo's history? What was the nature of a god position? What did the divine trial involve?

Zhu Ziyang's thoughts were in chaos. He wanted to tell Electrolux immediately, to get his opinion.

But just as he was about to speak, a warning echoed deep within his consciousness: "Speak not of this."

He immediately closed his mouth, his eyes filled with frustration and fear.

"Until you have truly obtained the right to the divine trial, you must not reveal anything about the god position—not even to that outsider living in your mind." The emotionless voice returned, and though calm, it made Zhu Ziyang feel as if standing at the edge of an abyss.
