Chapter 226 - Chapter 226: Snow Empress: Don’t Have Any Bad Thoughts About Me!

The second match of the semifinals featured the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy facing the Heaven Soul Royal Dio Academy.

Although Dio Academy boasted Jiang Peng, the first Soul Emperor in the academy's history to reach that rank at age twenty, they were completely crushed by the Sun Moon team, whose foundation and overall strength were far superior. They had no chance to resist.

With that, the Sun Moon team won the second semifinal match and advanced to the finals.

Thus, the two strongest teams of this year's Continental Elite Youth Soul Master Tournament had emerged: the reigning number one academy on the continent, Shrek Academy, would once again face the continent's second, the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy.

This clash of titans, returning after five years, would take place in three days.

All of Star Luo City was wrapped in excitement. Countless people hoped to witness Shrek Academy claim the title again, while just as many wished to see the Sun Moon team shatter Shrek's seemingly invincible legend.

But for now, none of that had anything to do with Zhu Ziyang, who was currently fully immersed in his spiritual sea. His two soul spirits — the Snow Empress and the Ice Empress — were about to be born.

Inside the great hall of his spiritual sea, Zhu Ziyang sat atop the throne, his gaze fixed on the trembling white soul spirit egg. Er Shuang's eyes were also full of curiosity and anticipation. As for Electrolux, he was not present within Zhu Ziyang's spiritual sea — he had gone to the Holy Law Demiplane, where the five undead creatures would complete their transformation within the next three days.

The Snow Empress' soul spirit egg shook repeatedly, its pristine white shell gradually weakening. Then came a crisp cracking sound that reached Zhu Ziyang's ears. Joy flashed in his eyes — the Snow Empress was about to be born.

Sure enough, countless cracks spread across the egg's surface. Soon, a tiny white hand burst through, reaching out. The small hand was plump and soft, and the arm chubby, resembling that of a human infant. But this was a true soul spirit — the Heavenly Snow Women soul spirit.

After the hand emerged, the rest of the Snow Empress quickly followed. She appeared just like a five- or six-year-old human girl. Her porcelain doll-like face held two blue-amber eyes, large and clear, with plump lips and long, snow-white hair that cascaded down to her ankles. She wore a white dress that draped to her feet, and aside from her two delicate arms and small bare feet, the rest of her body was covered. Her slender neck was exposed, adding to her exquisitely carved appearance.

Just based on looks, she appeared to be nothing more than a dainty and adorable human child — one that would make anyone's heart melt.

"So cute!" Er Shuang's eyes shimmered with maternal affection the moment she saw the Snow Empress.

"Ahem!" Zhu Ziyang was also startled by the Snow Empress' appearance. He only came to his senses after hearing Er Shuang's exclamation and cleared his throat before speaking, "Snow Empress, can I ask you something?"

"What?" The Snow Empress' little face showed a bit of confusion. As a newly formed soul spirit, she was still adjusting to her body, turning her head left and right. She found her new form unsatisfactory — far too small. Her voice, too, had changed. Gone was her former icy majesty; now it was soft and childlike, brimming with innocent charm.

Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Speaking in such a sweet and coquettish tone made the former sovereign of the Extreme North feel utterly humiliated.

"Are the clothes you're wearing naturally part of you or something you conjured yourself?" Zhu Ziyang asked, eyes gleaming oddly, though he maintained a serious tone.

"What?! You're so rude!" Snow Empress puffed up her cheeks in indignation. "Of course, I conjured them myself! What, did you expect me to be born like a human — completely naked?"

"I see!" Zhu Ziyang scratched his head awkwardly. "So... that means your clothes can be taken off, right?"

"I'm warning you — don't have any bad thoughts about me!" Snow Empress' expression instantly turned wary as she glared at Zhu Ziyang.

"Heh heh! Of course not!" Zhu Ziyang chuckled. He was indeed curious whether the Heavenly Snow Women's physiology resembled a human's, but he wasn't depraved enough to act on it.

"Alright, let's get back on topic," he said, regaining his composure. "What's your current strength like? Don't tell me it's only eighty percent of mine, like Er Shuang?"

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" Er Shuang protested immediately. "Now that you've got someone new, you're already complaining about me?"

"Hmm~" Snow Empress tilted her head and thought for a moment. "I should be around eighty percent of my peak strength. If I cooperate with Bing'er, I might reach ninety percent."

"Eighty percent of your peak?" Zhu Ziyang was surprised but then nodded to himself. 'As expected.' He looked at her again and said, "Then you're basically on par with a Titled Douluo. Excellent!"

"Of course! I'm the Empress of the Extreme North! Even as a soul spirit, I'm still among the strongest!" Snow Empress lifted her snowy swan-like neck proudly. Then she added, "But... even if I have eighty percent of my strength, can your soul power actually support me using it? You won't be drained dry, will you?"

She cast him a provocative look, the tiny girl posing like a queen, making Zhu Ziyang nearly explode from how adorable she was. Unable to resist, he reached out and pinched her cheek.

"You really don't need to worry about that."

"You...!" Snow Empress puffed up in displeasure. "So rude!"

"Hahaha!" Zhu Ziyang burst into laughter.

But he also began seriously considering her concern. Soul masters and soul spirits had separate soul power pools, but the amount of power a soul spirit could wield depended on the soul master. The higher the soul master's level, the more power their soul spirits could access — and the stronger they became.

However, if a soul spirit's strength far exceeded that of the master — like with Snow Empress and Zhu Ziyang — then the soul spirit alone couldn't sustain its full power. In such cases, it would start drawing on the soul master's power. That's why Snow Empress warned him about getting drained dry.

It was, essentially, a mutual reliance between master and spirit.

"Want to go outside and take a look?" Zhu Ziyang asked.

"Sure!" Snow Empress agreed eagerly. "Bing'er probably won't hatch until tomorrow."

The green soul spirit egg belonging to the Ice Empress shook slightly, as if responding to her.

Zhu Ziyang smiled, then exited his spiritual sea.

As his consciousness returned to reality, he opened his eyes. With a thought, Snow Empress and Er Shuang materialized in his room.

Er Shuang remained cat-sized, while the Snow Empress appeared as a three- or four-year-old child. Still as delicate and doll-like as before, she now looked even more adorable and innocent. While Er Shuang had wings that allowed her to fly, the Snow Empress could also hover — her small feet stepping on air, her whole body gently floating.

"Snow Empress, you got smaller again?" Zhu Ziyang asked in surprise.

"Of course! I did it on purpose!" Snow Empress said in her childish voice. Then she showed him why she'd shrunk.

She floated up to his shoulder, plopped down, and sat there with her tiny legs and feet dangling in front of his chest, swaying gently. Her little hands wrapped around his neck and her forehead leaned affectionately against his cheek.

Er Shuang wasn't about to be outdone. She immediately flew to his other shoulder and mimicked the Snow Empress' posture. Her two dragon claws hung down his chest, and her tail curled between her legs to match.

"Shuang, doesn't your tail feel uncomfortable like that?" Zhu Ziyang asked, expression odd.

"Not at all! Our dragon tails are soft and flexible — we can sit however we want!" Er Shuang replied proudly.

"Is that so?" Zhu Ziyang mused. He recalled his own dragon tail during dragonification — it was true, it could move effortlessly in any position.

"Er Shuang, you're a divine beast. Why didn't Bing'er and I notice you before?" Snow Empress asked curiously, her big eyes full of confusion.

"Because I was hiding from you two!" Er Shuang grinned. "I'm a Dragon Wolf, and we're experts at hiding our presence. I even had an Ice Demon Snow Soul follower to help conceal my fate energy. But I never expected that my pet would betray me... a white-eyed soul!"

"I see!" Snow Empress suddenly understood. Then, looking at Er Shuang, she asked, "So, the reason you chose to sacrifice yourself to Zhu Ziyang... was because of that Ice Demon Snow Soul King?"

"Exactly!" Er Shuang gritted her teeth. "That bastard ambushed me during my tribulation. Otherwise, I would've already become the new ruler of the Extreme North!"

"Alright, don't be angry," Zhu Ziyang comforted her. "Once I reach the seventh ring, I'll take you back for revenge. That Ice Demon Snow Soul King won't get away with it!"

"Mm!" Er Shuang nodded, her eyes filled with hatred.
