Elder Lin, Elder Song, Xian Lin'er, and Cai Meier were all present. Also present was the Star Luo Empire's chief royal enforcer, Starlight Douluo Xu Luo, along with other royal enforcers, including Heavenly Fiend Douluo Huang Jinxu.
However, as a Title Douluo, Huang Jinxu was not qualified to mingle with Super Douluo like Elder Lin or Xu Luo.
Xu Luo was seated across from Elder Lin, flanked by two other elderly figures — both Super Douluo. On Xu Luo's left sat a woman named Wang Xian'er, a 96-rank healing-type Super Douluo titled Healing Immortal. Her martial soul was Healing Angel, making her the strongest support-type soul master alive. On Xu Luo's right was a man named Xu Hongxing, a 95-rank Super Douluo titled Star Breaker. Like Xu Luo, he was of royal blood, and his martial soul was a variant of the Star Crown, called Shattered Starlight.
These three were the Star Luo Empire's greatest pillars — its three Super Douluo and the royal family's strongest assets.
A hall gathering seven Super Douluo couldn't possibly be ordinary. In fact, this was no ordinary palace — it was the Royal Worship Hall of the Star Luo Empire.
"...Elder Lin, I accept this task," Xu Luo said with an unusual expression. "I will handle it personally."
"Good!" Elder Lin beamed. "Shrek Academy won't disappoint the Xu clan. Hahaha!"
"Hahaha!" the two laughed in sync. Then Xu Luo paused and asked, "Elder Lin, about my earlier proposal, has your side made a decision?"
"I'm afraid I can't make that call," Elder Lin replied with a helpless smile. "Ziyang is that person's disciple. Unless he agrees, there's no way."
"That person?!" Xu Luo, Wang Xian'er, and Xu Hongxing were visibly surprised. At their level, they all knew who Elder Lin meant. Xu Luo's tone became reverent. "How is his health?"
He was referring to Mu En. Though not formally his disciple, Xu Luo greatly respected Mu En.
"Same as always," Elder Lin sighed.
"Ah..." Xu Luo sighed as well. "If it depends on Elder Mu, then let's set it aside for now."
"Actually..." Elder Lin paused. "You could let the princess study at our academy for a while. They're all young. With time, maybe something will blossom..."
"You're right!" Xu Luo's eyes lit up.

Back at the main banquet, after finishing her introduction, Xu Jiujiu gazed at Zhu Ziyang and asked, "So? Have you decided which ones you want?"
Zhu Ziyang smiled, then turned to Wang Yan, who seemed deep in thought. He said, "Teacher Wang, I'll pick three. You choose the remaining two."
"This..." Wang Yan jolted out of his thoughts and looked at Zhu Ziyang with sincere gratitude. He understood Zhu Ziyang's intent and was both surprised and moved.
"Thank you, Ziyang!"
"Hehe." Zhu Ziyang smiled but didn't respond. He turned to Xu Jiujiu and said, "Your Highness, thank you for the arrangements. I'll choose the Explosive Scorching Left Arm Bone, Spirit Moon Phantom Beast Torso Bone, and Ice Tyrant Dragon Right Leg Bone."
"Heehee! That's the best choice!" Xu Jiujiu grinned. She wasn't surprised by his choices — those three were added specifically for them. If he hadn't picked them, that would've been odd.
"We've sacrificed a lot for you, you know!"
After Zhu Ziyang made his selections, Wang Yan followed suit. "We'll take the Sacred Illusion Demon Ape Skull and the Evil Demon Tiger Whale Left Leg Bone."
"Oh?" Xu Jiujiu raised an eyebrow. "Why not the torso bone? Why the leg bone instead?"
"Hehe." Wang Yan explained, "Though torso bones are more valuable than leg bones, the Earth Armor Violent Bear doesn't compare to the Evil Demon Tiger Whale. The bear is just a high-level beast. But the whale is a rare and powerful sea-type beast. In terms of years and usefulness, the whale bone wins hands down!"
"Clap clap clap!" Xu Jiujiu applauded. "As expected of a Shrek Academy teacher. Many soul masters get fixated on the torso bone's value and ignore what really determines a soul bone's worth."
With the soul bone selection complete, the banquet neared its end. The Shrek team had little interest in staying — all their attention was on the five soul bones. Ma Xiaotao and Jiang Nannan were fairly at ease. As the only other two core team members who participated in the final, they were guaranteed one bone each — and both saw that two of Zhu Ziyang's picks were clearly intended for them.
The real suspense came from Wang Yan's remaining two soul bones. By letting Wang Yan choose, Zhu Ziyang was essentially reserving them for the reserve team. But with seven candidates and only two bones... who would receive them?
That question would require discussion.
Under royal guard escort, they returned to the Star Emperor Hotel and immediately held a meeting.
