The lady was beautiful. Her hair was a soft, silvery blue, gathered into a loose braid that draped over one shoulder and a few fine strands framed her pale, smooth face.
Her eyes were a clear icy blue, wide and bright beneath long lashes and her lips were small and rose-tinted, pressed together in a faint, tidy line.
A high-collared gown of deep navy hugged her figure, its lace cuffs hiding her wrists. A thin ribbon circled her throat, tied in a neat bow.
But despite here beauty, anyone who had ever played Aquestius as much as Lucas would have reacted the same way as him because the person before him was none other than Celeste Slevan, daughter of Marquis Slevan and Aquestius' resident yandere.
In game, while she was powerful, she was somewhat of a minor character who didn't matter unless you completed her side quest which would cause her to become a major character and most importantly, a yandere.
In the quest, Marquis Slevan would arrange a tournament for suitors to complete for his daughters hand in marriage after she completely rejected all other arrangements saying they were not worthy.
The marquis would then hire the protagonist to protect his daughter in fear of assassination from rival families as well as the threat of the Legion.
The protagonist would do just that and save Celeste from a assassination attempt.
This would cause Celeste to want the MC to become her husband and would cause her to transform from a mild mannered, kind and a little bit picky girl to a ruthless, psychopathic yandere completely obsessed with the MC.
It was a unrealistically drastic shift in Lucas' opinion but it was a shitty harem gacha game, after all.
Anyways, that meant a kind gentle girl had turned into a obsessive stalker after being saved and he had just so happened to have saved her just now.
Seeing Celeste already looking at him with possessive eyes, he knew he had messed up so he stammered out an ackward, "That's good so...so I guess, I'll be seeing you around. Goodbye."
He then began to walk away just like the thugs before him and when he reached far enough, he absolutely booked it all the way to the academy, all while wondering what the hell a noble lady was doing in a random dark alley in the middle of the night.
Soon, he reached the school, scaled the wall and was right back in the comfort of his dorm room.
"Thankfully, I had used [Intimidating Presence] before so I didn't completely collapse after it wore off." Lucas said as he removed his disguise.
After stretching he jumped into his bed and after after a moment, he asked, "System, is it now alright to begin Full System Integration."
[Yes.]
"Ok. Let's begin then." Lucas said.
[Alright. It is suggested that Host got into the most comfortable position as this may take a while and will be painful.]
[3.....2.....]
"Wait, what? -AHHHHH!"
-------
Twenty minutes later, Lucas was laying in the bed soaked in sweet and was shivering in pain.
"System, you asshole. If I ever get my hands on you, I'll tear you apart limb from limb." He said.
[Get over it. You're a grown man, not a baby.]
"What? How dare you. You know what? F*ck you."
[F*ck you too.]
"You little- I'll deal with you later. Tell me what the Full System Integration was all about. How does it work?"
[Ding!]
[The Full System Integration works by solidifying the bond between Host and System giving Host access to abilities such as:
• Analyze - the ability to see the attributes of items and people.
• Sentience - The system gains something similar to a thought process allowing it to have discussions with Host and even give suggestions.
• Instant Delivery - Items bought in the shop are now delivered instantly
• Storage Space - The system can now store items smaller than 3 ft by 3 ft for Host (Storage Size can be improved by investing Villain Points)
• Titles - Host can now unlock Titles that gives him passive or active effects ]
"The rewards are worth it! System, tell me your origin." He said.
[System can't do that.]
"But you said you could tell me things?" Lucas said.
[Although System can now "think", System only has access to what Host knows. So if Host has no idea about something, then system has no idea as well.]
"Damn. Then can you at least suggest a way for me to get stronger fast."
[Ding!]
[System suggests that Host kidnap some women, assault them and then use the accumulated points to buy items in the shop to get stronger fast.]
"I am NOT doing that. Suggest something else." Lucas said.
[Since Host doesn't like System's idea, here is another one. Host should find a child and-]
"Yeah. I'm gonna stop you right there because I just know that you're about to suggest the most heinous and diabolical thing known to man and I will not be doing that. Next."
[Host can create the legendary Blackhearted Stew to significantly boost his mana capacity and regeneration.
The ingredients are: a fresh fetus from a pregnant woman's womb, the brain of someone who was tortured before death, the testicles of a virgin male and the heart of a person who died of starvation.]
"Alright, Stop. This clearly isn't working. I'm going to bed."
[Wait. Host! I have one more suggestion.]
"I don't wanna hear it." Lucas said.
[It's nothing evil, I swear]
"Alright, what is it?"
[We can go to Asmir's Keep, raid the place and get stronger then slaughter the villagers around the keep to accumulate points to buy items in the shop to get even stronger way faster.]
"That's actually not a bad idea." Lucas said.
[It's not?]
"Well, the slaughtering villager's part is bad but raiding Asmir's Keep is a pretty good idea. System, your a genius!" Lucas said.
[Thank you?]
Lucas was truly excited. Asmir's Keep was the quintessential beginner dungeon in Aquestius and contained everything a player needed to get stronger.
It had weapons, potions, skills and everything else needed and although the items may not be the best quality, every drop eventually makes an ocean.
The best part was that in lore, Asmir's Keep was one of the hideouts of a legendary mage from two hundred years ago called Asmir, who had built it so well hidden even he had ended up not being able to find it after a while.
Even the protagonist himself had only stumbled upon it through pure unadulterated luck and "plot armor" so Lucas doubted anyone would have found it even with the altered timeline.
The only problem was that Asmir's Keep was a eight day journey away from the capital so he couldn't go there now with the midterm exams coming up so he would have to put it off until he'd finished the exams.
Lucas yawned and said, "I should go to sleep now because it's been a long day. I can't believe it's been only a day and a half since I arrived in Aquestius."
He closed his eyes and he was off to sleep in no time.
Meanwhile, at the crack in the school wall. Celeste stood with a frown on her face.
"So he's a student of the academy. This makes things a little bit tough but don't worry. I will find you and when I do, you'll be mine. Forever."
