Chapter 24 - Chapter 9 The Rift’s Warning

After the fierce siege, the Rift Farmers' Guild spent days tending to the wounded and repairing the damaged fields. The community was exhausted but united, stronger than ever. Yet Hassan couldn't shake the uneasy feeling gnawing at his heart.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Hassan stood alone at the Rift's edge, watching the swirling energies pulse with an eerie light. Suddenly, the air grew cold, and the Rift shimmered strangely — as if trying to communicate.

A whisper echoed in Hassan's mind, ancient and urgent. Visions flashed before his eyes: twisted shadows creeping over the land, crops withering under a blackened sky, and a looming figure cloaked in darkness.

The Rift was warning him of a new, even greater threat approaching — something beyond mere raiders or demons.

Hassan hurried back to the Guild hall, gathering his closest allies — Patrick, Arafa, and the spirit-child born from the magical seed.

"We've been lucky so far," Hassan said gravely. "But the Rift itself warns that a darker force is coming. We must prepare — not just to defend our farm, but our entire world."

Plans were quickly made to strengthen defenses and seek out more allies. Scouts were sent deeper into the Rift's unexplored territories to gather intelligence.

Meanwhile, Hassan delved into the ancient texts of his family, searching for clues about this looming danger. The more he learned, the clearer it became: the Rift was not just a portal — it was a battleground for powers far older and more dangerous than anyone had imagined.

As night fell, Hassan looked out again at the shimmering Rift, feeling its pulse — a heartbeat intertwined with his own.

Whatever was coming, they would face it together.

The warning had been heard.
