Chapter 75 - The More You Fear, The Unluckier You Get

Louis felt as though his lungs had reached their limit. Every breath set his chest ablaze, a searing pain like fire burning from within. If he were to cough up blood right now, it would probably come out scalding hot.

They had reached the sixth door. Louis's hands trembled again, but this time not from fear.

 Perhaps he was exhausted, or his mind couldn't take it anymore.

At that moment, his eyes flew open. He grabbed Layla's hand and yanked her down to the ground.

At the same time, countless strange strands shot out from the door ahead, transforming into numerous arrows that pierced through everything. The last two colleagues were skewered instantly, without even a chance to scream.

Louis lifted his eyes. Blood blurred his vision, but he could still determine what clung to the door.

A creature resembling an octopus—its head bulbous and saggy, its bulging eyes glaring at them.
