Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Girls' Diary Interest Group

After appreciating Kasumigaoka Utaha's ghost story, Miyauchi Hikage got up to take care of business.

In the morning, he sent his parents back to Asahigaoka. Before they left, he also bought Renge a recorder, hoping that the next time he returned to Asahigaoka, he would be able to witness the birth of the great recorder demon king and "Nyanpasu."

In the afternoon, he found a nice apartment for Hikari, less than ten minutes' walk from the school.

Then, as promised, he took Hikari to Shibuya and Ginza to buy her some trendy clothes and accessories.

On the way, they even passed by the Cat's Eye Cafe. Originally, Miyauchi Hikage had wanted to treat his second sister to another cup of sugar-free black coffee, but she had escaped on the pretext of needing to go to the toilet.

He only managed to catch a glimpse of Kisugi Rui, who was cleaning up inside the shop, from a distance through the cafe's glass.

Truly a top-tier onee-san.

After getting Hikari settled, he could finally enjoy a period of time that was completely his own before school started.

[I didn't find Miko's tweet, but I'm planning to take the bus again in a few days to see if I can run into her one more time. I'll confirm it then.

However, I did find a new ghost story written by Kasumi Utako-sensei. The story is very good, I liked it a lot. I hope everyone can go and support it. I'm also looking forward to the official release of your Koisuru Metronome, Kasumi Utako-sensei.

When the time comes, if I have time, I might go to your new book signing event.

If you can recognize me at the signing, there will be a mysterious surprise for you.

Also, when I was checking the trending topics this morning, I saw news about Kaitou Kid and Cat's Eye.

Kaitou Kid gets to make a guest appearance in the Conan movies every couple of years, but Cat's Eye is a name I haven't heard in a long time.

To be honest, in my past life, when I was a child and saw Cat's Eye playing on TV, I would only dare to sneak a few glances when my parents weren't around. Thinking back now, it's quite interesting.

But speaking of which, there are really a lot of phantom thieves, big and small, in this world. And any slightly famous phantom thief has to send a calling card to the police before taking action. It's really tough on the Japanese police.

I wonder if Lupin the Third is in this world. Anyway, I didn't find anything online. He's either been hidden away, or maybe he hasn't debuted yet?

In my past life, Conan and Lupin the Third had a crossover movie, so the possibility of Lupin the Third being in this world is not small.

But I just did a casual investigation and didn't spend too much effort.

After all, who would want to get involved with this kind of person for no reason? What if he finds out I'm investigating him and traces my internet connection to check my water meter?

This man who looks like a monkey, there's no treasure he sets his sights on that he can't get. The powers he's provoked since his debut are more terrifying than the last.

Villains who intend to conquer the world, organizations that rule an entire country, and there are even not a few villainous BOSSes with supernatural powers among them.

If I really run into this guy, there will definitely be a pile of trouble following behind him.

Mine Fujiko is also a textbook classic femme fatale, who influenced a large number of later creators in my past life.

In Conan, Conan's mom and that Hollywood actress who is about to announce her retirement, Chris Vineyard, are both characters created with her as a prototype, occupying the good and bad sides respectively.

Speaking of which, the Black Organization, which took thirty years to deal with in Conan, if placed on Lupin the Third's side, would probably be a single movie's worth of trouble.

I wonder if I'm overestimating the Black Organization by saying this?

In comparison, Kaitou Kid and Cat's Eye are indeed a bit more approachable.

Mmm, when there's a chance, I'll go find Touko and get an autograph. I believe he wouldn't want his identity as a phantom thief to be exposed by me, right?]

Kasumigaoka Utaha of course knew very well what kind of impact her ghost story blog post would have.

In fact, after seeing the mysterious person's diary today, in just half an hour, she had already received several private messages from new followers.

Among them, the most surprising to her was Hoshino Ai.

The other party had private messaged her with a side account, directly sending her a private LINE account and wanting to invite her into a special group to chat.

Kasumigaoka Utaha only hesitated for a moment before adding the other party as a friend.

Regardless of whether the other person was the real Hoshino Ai, she was definitely a diary holder.

She did want to see what kind of people the other diary holders were.

Immediately after, she was pulled into a group chat that currently had only four people.

Ai: "Welcome, Kasumi Utako-sensei, to our Diary Interest Group. I'm Hoshino Ai."

Ai: "I created this group. After I set it up, only diary holders can enter this group. It can't be searched for from the outside. I specifically used a little Reading Value to do this."

Ai: "So it's very safe to talk here. No need to worry about information leaking out!"

The Strongest Tyrant's Eye: "Has the number of fated ones who have signed the contract increased again? This is a matter worthy of celebration. My right eye is starting to ache faintly again. I believe this is all the instruction of the Tyrant's Eye."

Chitanda Eru: "Hello, Kasumi Utako-sensei. I'm Chitanda Eru. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Kasumigaoka Utaha glanced at the two people in the group besides Hoshino Ai.

These two seemed not to have been mentioned in the diary.

If one had to say there was a connection, the mysterious person did mention the story of a chuunibyou girl, which could be slightly related to this "The Strongest Tyrant's Eye".

But as for Chitanda Eru, she couldn't tell anything from this one polite greeting.

Kasumi Utako: "I am Kasumigaoka Utaha. You should know, the Kasumigaoka Utaha from the novel prologue that was copied by the mysterious person in the diary. Kasumi Utako is my pen name, but it's fine to call me that directly."

Kasumigaoka Utaha directly stated her identity. At a time like this, as long as she wasn't embarrassed, the ones who would be embarrassed were the others.

However, in this group, her identity was clearly not the most embarrassing one.

Ai: "I'm Hoshino Ai. The one mentioned in the diary, the 16-year-old disqualified idol who gets pregnant out of wedlock, gives birth to two reincarnated children, and is finally killed by her own fan."

Seeing this sentence, Kasumigaoka Utaha already felt like covering her face and leaving the group.

Only a prologue of hers had been written in the diary. Besides failing to get the man, there was nothing particularly shameful.

But on Hoshino Ai's side, the mysterious person had written all her dirt in the diary!

At a time like this, should I say something to cover up the embarrassment?

Fortunately, Chitanda Eru also followed the format and sent a message, dissipating the embarrassment.

Chitanda Eru: "My name doesn't seem to have been mentioned in the diary, but the diary did mention a Classics Club that is about to be disbanded. If there are no surprises, I will be joining this club after school starts."

Chitanda Eru: "But I'm not a rich girl, it's just that my family is more respected by the locals... And I'm not curious about everything!"
