Chapter 57 - Chapter 56: Dark Dimension

"Damn you, Ancient One! Damn you, brat!"

A terrifying roar echoed.

In the presence of its angry master, the entire dimension was in turmoil. Countless beings living in the Dark Dimension trembled in fear. The terrible dark purple energy rolled like a torrent, washing everything away. In a moment, countless lives were swallowed by the darkness.

Everyone was filled with dread.

But at the same time, many were curious about who could enrage the king who dominated the entire Dark Dimension to this extent.

In a corner of the Dark Dimension.

A white-haired girl in a dark purple combat uniform looked up at the sky. She could see the turbulent, enraged dark energy.

A hint of thought appeared on her fair, beautiful face.

"Ancient One? The powerful magician who fought Dormammu's universal invasion? Who is that kid? Is he from the same dimension as Ancient One?"

"What did they do to make Dormammu this furious?"

"Perhaps I should go and observe."

"Dormammu, I can't fight you yet, but I will find someone who can." The girl's expression became extremely cold as she finished her inner monologue.

She pulled a blade that emitted dark purple energy from her waist and slashed at the space in front of her. The space was cut open and filled with black particles. She stepped into the crack, and her figure was swallowed by the dark particles. Soon, the crack automatically sealed itself.

In the expanded visual dimension, Leon, wearing a golden Holy Cloth, extracted Dormammu's consciousness with an azure light in his eyes.

He soon broke through the defense barrier of Dormammu's consciousness and obtained the memories he wanted.

Dormammu is a life-form known as a Faltine. These are special beings, born from pure magical energy in an ancient universe of a mysterious dimension. They are also known as Faltinians.

In the Faltine dimension, there is no matter, only various energies.

All creatures in this dimension are made of energy, and absorbing more of it is their only daily task.

They reproduce through mitosis, and the purpose of each Faltine is to expand the "family," which leads to complex family dynamics and endless struggles.

Dormammu and his sister Umar were conceived by Sinefer, a Faltine tribal member. However, they are different from other Faltinians. Dormammu and Umar were born with greedy hearts and longed to absorb energy in the form of matter.

To get more energy, they began to slaughter their own kind and even killed their father. This unprecedented crime led to them being sanctioned and expelled by all Faltine tribal members to a mysterious realm containing multiple realities, which is the Dark Dimension.

In the Dark Dimension, they met the necromancer Mordo of that dimension, and the dimension's ruler, Olnar, who had always dreamed of returning to an era of war and conquest.

To fulfill Olnar's desire, Dormammu and Umar befriended him and showed him how to conquer other dimensions. In the process of conquest, they accumulated strength for Dormammu's rise.

Soon after, after a pocket universe was occupied, destructive creatures were released, causing huge damage in the Dark Dimension.

After the chaos subsided, Olnar died in the war, and Dormammu stole his power and became the new ruler of the Dark Dimension.

In addition to these personal memories, Leon also learned about Dormammu's abilities.

After learning about them one by one, Leon's expression didn't change much.

Dormammu's level is that of a powerful single universe. With the blessing of the Dark Dimension as his home turf, his power is endless and he can compete with opponents stronger than himself.

Overall, it's what Leon expected. He can't beat him yet.

His seventh sense places him in the first echelon of the Skyfather sequence. Outside Earth, his speed is not the speed of light, but rather superluminal, because he deliberately controls it.

After he broke through to the seventh sense, he had a premonition that once he exceeded the speed of light, he would destroy the laws of physics and affect the whole world.

Simply put, a planet's physical laws can only handle the limit of the speed of light, not superluminal speed. If it were to be exceeded, the planet would be destroyed on the spot.

In his recent short battle with Dormammu, he demonstrated a superluminal flight speed, and at his level, Dormammu didn't react much.

Extracting Dormammu's memory isn't just about learning about him and the Dark Dimension, but also about confirming the gap between them.

It now seems the gap is almost as big as he expected.

To defeat Dormammu, he must burn his seventh sense to its limit and reach the eighth sense. He also needs enough accumulated eighth-sense energy, and the blessing of a Holy Cloth. With these, he believes it would be enough to defeat Dormammu.

The eighth sense is a higher order of the microcosm than the seventh, at the source of human life, also known as the Alaya consciousness.

The person closest to God refers to a person who lives without relying on God's blood and has comprehended the eighth sense. The eighth sense of the microcosm is the highest sense in the human microcosm, and above the eighth sense is the microcosm of God.
